Worst Customer Service…read more My experience there yesterday was not pleasant. I went to the store because I needed a few items for my home. While I was in the store I noticed an employee dressed in all black was in close proximity to every different department of the store I was in. I thought this may have been a coincidence until I purposely visited other sections of the store only to noticed this employee was not too far away. When I would turn around to look at her following me, she would pretend to stock the shelves ( with no stock in her hands) or fiddle with whatever merchandise was near her when I noticed her. This went on for 20 minutes. I was so offended and frustrated that I left without purchasing the items I needed. If you're going to have your staff follow people though out the store, maybe they could offer to assist the patron they are stalking.

Being that this store is a dollar store I don't expect it to be perfect, I simply expect a variety of $1 items such as hair ties, clothes pins, greeting cards, art supplies, etc. There were two young employees working during my visit. As soon as I entered the store I asked the young man if I needed a key for the restroom. He told me that I didn't and kindly gave me directions for getting to the ladies room. You have to go through a small area of the back room to get to it but the restroom was cleaner than I expected it to be. A bit later I was looking around for something I thought they might have and decided to ask the young lady if she knew if the store had any. She thought for a moment and took me to the aisle she thought it should be in. Although it wasn't there I appreciate her taking the time to help me. I selected a few other items and went up to the register. It took a moment for the young man to get back to the register when I got there but I was run out and on my way. I don't see the point in spending more than I need to on items that are not meant for long term use or end up broken no matter how much I spend on them. I always use this store as my first stop when throwing a party or hosting a holiday as well. I'm very thankful to have this store in my area.

The Dollar Tree in Unionville has all of those qualities. They've only been open for half a year, but the store looks like it just opened yesterday. All the shelves were full and the store was as neat as a pin. As we walked their aisles we saw a nice selection of toys, books, household paper goods, cleaning supplies, home office and craft supplies, kitchen ware, pet supplies, frozen food, canned goods, candy, snacks, greeting cards (2 for a buck!), health and beauty aids, and party supplies. They even have a small bargain section where we saw dirt cheap Christmas wrap, bagged snacks, and a $0.25 jar of spicy mustard that ended up in our cart. We picked up a whole slew of Valentines Day goodies for the grand kids and a whole slew of beef jerky for me. And to top things off, the young lady at the cash register was a delight!

New younger lady in training was friendly and sweet. I'm imagining the gentleman who was training her was a manager and clearly great at multitasking while still providing friendly service. We were happily greeted and even paid a compliment about the kids demeanor by Cecil. When I walked in, everyone was super friendly and not just because it's a "five below" requirement but because they seemed happy to be there. Ironically chatted with other happy customers throughout the store. Kids enjoyed their stop and had earned it. Truly left a great impression and I just had to stop here and applaud this location!

There are also the usual self checkout lanes, with the regular staffed lines. It's also located in a convenient complex with quite a few retail shops and a Panera. If you want to preorder a cake, download their app and schedule a pickup. I think the prices were comparable to other standard grocery stores nearby. Overall, a good market to get all your grocery shopping needs.

What's strange is that the store never seems overcrowded despite the parking nightmare. Their florals, specifically garden roses, are beautiful. I got three dozen to practice a bouquet I'm making for my mother for Mother's Day. If they added in a florist to make bouquets, I'm sure they would have a line out the door. They are very quick at the register! The cheese tote bag is adorable.
