(although $1.25 + Now) I can certainly say I shop at the 5 different locations based on where I'm cruising on errands or in routes of my driving and needed things. This Location on Hayes Rd. and 24 Mile is a small location compared to the larger ones I stop and shop at but the employees here are friendly and polite at their jobs. If a gal is working and stocking she'll always greet Me with a Hello and ask if I'm finding everything I need. I should have asked her name to acknowledge. Those Hallmark cards are a plus here and wrapping paper with gift bags in the celebration section. Oh yeah they sell balloons here. This store stocks My Favorites: Lavender Pillow spray, Elf cosmetics, Party Mix Snacks, Hint Water, Protein Shakes, TFI Friday's Cheddar & Bacon Chips, Snyder Pretzels and even Olive Garden Salad Dressing to name my picks of favorite items. Holiday decorations for My Home or outside can be a start to look through the store based on inventory. Some Dollar Stores carry different styles or items if you are looking to buy bulk. Then the cute holiday fun toys, snacks and treats are worth the money for $1.25 or slightly more for My Great Nephew and Niece. I shop for Church pantry items and especially the Name Brands such as soups, cake, brownie and muffin mixes, and some cleaning and household items. Read labels of where made and expiration date. Was here on Dec 21 with my younger brother picking up Christmas items for our parents. One of the…read moreemployees severely overreacted to a safety issue. While I understand that standing on an employee cart is not allowed, it did not warrant the level of profanity or escalation that followed. The employee used aggressive profanity throughout the encounter, placed his hand on my brother's back while ordering us out (my brother is a minor), and continued to follow and harass us even after we apologized and complied. As we were exiting the store, he mocked us by shouting "yeah good boys, good boys." Throughout the entire interaction I tried to de-escalate and explain that we had no intention of being disrespectful or causing problems, but the employee continued to escalate, ultimately kicking us out while shouting and embarrassing us. I am not someone who leaves reviews, but this behavior was completely unreasonable and honestly shocking. We frequent this location, but likely will not return.

I normally go the Dollar Tree in Troy (in the Walmart plaza) but I was on my way to Panera to pick up curbside, and this was the only dollar store in that area. It had kind of an old/funky smell inside. I saw they had cards through the window, so that was encouraging, but their Halloween selection is pretty limited; they maybe had like 10 different card designs to choose from, but 7-8 of those were for little kids (grandkids, children, etc). I ended up buying five for family and friends, and good thing I did because they have a $5 minimum limit for credit cards. The final reason I'm giving them 3 stars: the cashier was not wearing a mask. The man next to him beside the counter was, FWIW. He had a very thin layer of plastic sheeting between me and him, so I'm guessing that's why he thought it was fine ... however, I'm "high risk," so I definitely wiped off my credit card with a wipe when I got back to my car. I wouldn't stop by here again, I will just go to Dollar Tree next time. But they do have a lot of cards (non-Halloween ones) if you need them.
