The employee working on this Saturday morning told me I could not pay with my debit card, it had to be cc (website and enterprise customer service both say they accept debit cards). Since I didn't have a credit card, I asked if my brother could place the reservation and add me as an additional driver- the employee said he needs a credit card and dl from both of us- again, not true. Enterprise only require dl from each driver and credit card from reservation holder. I said fine, my brother can just come rent the car- he said no he won't allow it bc he has a feeling I will drive it. After lying about calling me the previous day to tell me the car I rented wasn't available (I did not ever receive a call), lying about forms of payment and requirements for additional drivers and not allowing me to speak with a supervisor, I cannot say enough negative things about this location. Experience was AWFUL. I had to give a star but I wish I could give negative.

While this National Rental Car doesn't have an Emerald Aisle, they do have Anne Marie, who will get you your car quickly. This is the first time we rented a Hyundai Santa Fe which was new and clean and nice and big enough. Thank you, Anne Marie, for the gracious service!

It was obvious that whoever had the car before had been eating in the car. I went back inside and they offered another car but the computers were down and there was a line at this point so it was going to be a few minutes. Instead I asked if they could provide a disinfecting wipe so that I could clean the car myself. After that incident the car was fantastic. However, it was very disappointing to find the car so messy and dirty in the first place.

They said they required a Visa. You can NOT get a Visa from the UK when you're a US citizen. Period. CAN NOT. We pulled up the embassy website to show them. She's rented many times in Texas before since her move overseas without this issue. The employee called her area manager who agreed with her. We then called the customer service and spoke to a higher manager who said ALAMO AT CORPUS CHRISTI AIRPORT IS INCORRECT AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE CAR. They are forwarding this issue to internal support and should be calling us this week once this is resolved with the local management in order for us to finally, maybe, pick up a car.

I didn't have the time to argue so I paid. Basically because I initialed by the charge, I was charged. I thought I was told I was signing because I was declining the coverage. Letting the counter agent know I preferred a Nissan or Toyota if possible, she said there were none available. I found that odd as when I got to the lot there were: a Nissan Sentra, Nissan Versa, and Toyota Camry ready and waiting to be rented. There ought to be a way you can list your car preferences so that if you're a gold member or above you are not constantly disappointed when renting from smaller airport locations in Texas. I may have to go back to renting from Enterprise because I've never been disappointed with my car selections there.
