I love this Dollar Tree! They always have good finds and the staff are friendly. It's much better then the other Dollar Trees in the area.

I was pleasantly surprised there wasn't that horrible off-gassing smell at similar type places. However, they did have some kind of odd blinky holiday lights that made annoying noises throughout my visit. I toured each aisle and there wasn't anything to my liking but I can see where a new Asian restaurant could completing outfit their establishment with everything they need. It was nice to see they had real plants! I would consider returning for those or maybe some of their pots. Prices were okay, not great. According to many handmade signs, they take shoplifting seriously!

I wanted to see if there is a Kmart near the area so I did a Yelp search for Kmart, this Portland Closeout store popped up. After glancing at Yelp photos, the 20 % off Yelp check in caught my eye, and the funny t-shirts, the ones on their profile pic. I asked my personal Uber driver ( my other half) to take me. You will not miss this place, there is a huge business sign and parking is available on both sides of the lot. I don't know where to begin looking, the store is clutter but it is a good clutter. There are tons and tons of stuff. Its like a one stop shop, Things you need in Chinatown and the flea market combined together. I am pretty sure you will find something you don't need but actually need here. Just like my experience here. I had fun looking around, Lets see this shop is HUGE! There are sandals, shoes, clothing for mens, womens, children, tshirts, hats, make up, hair accessories, phone accessories, even blankets. If you can't find what you are looking for, ask the owner, she is super friendly. I recall her name is Long. I had fun talking to her and she helped me find what I was looking for. As I mentioned I found 2 items that I didn't need but needed. I saw 2 hats , I didn't think I needed it but bought it for my mom and good friend. ( they both love hats!) I came to shop not looking for hats and not needing it but then I am so glad I bought them because my mom and good friend loved the hats. I also bought those funny saying shirts to give away as souvenirs. They are pretty funny! I was able to use my 20 percent Yelp check in and I am so happy to discover a new place in Portland. I noticed the blankets are cheap, they are the really soft blankets which comes in different color, prints, and even comes with a bag. I remember those blankets, during my childhood days my mom used to buy that blanket for us and I remember they cost more than what Portland Closeout sells them for. I am going to buy a blanket next time I visit. After paying for my items, Long mentioned that her husband is at the store across. Note: Portland Closeout is in 2 separate shop. The store is in front where Long's husband manage has all household items for your kitchen, home and garden which includes furniture, plants, even paintings. This store does look clutter as well, but its a good clutter!! I noticed children's bicycles out in front. This store has EVERYTHING!! Overall, I love how I discovered this place and I enjoyed my shopping experience here. I will be back. If you just moved to Portland, Please check out Portland Closeout, I guarantee you will find products for your new place and you can thank me later!! #101/100/2017

Still, my wife and I were both blown away by the density of both vendors and goods for sale here. Everything from clothes and shoes, to toys, electronics, phone accessories, fabric, anime tchotchkes, games, collectibles, DVDs and probably a whole lot more than we missed, can be found on display, tucked away, or hanging over head. We've already resolved to do some of this year's Christmas shopping here, that's for sure! And that's not even getting into all the food, desserts and beverages available here. My Spanish is too poor, and my wandering eye too unfocused to describe all the wonders I saw being served up, so I won't even try. Except the grilled corn on the cob. I saw that, I wanted it, I didn't get it, and I will rectify this travesty during a future visit.

I found a lot of Made in China products, something you'd find @ any Asian stores CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP. It's Sunday, and several vendors are closed with wrought iron gates, something tells me, they don't trust one another! If you're looking for baby Jesus dolls, and baby Jesus outfits, baptism outfits, Holy Communion outfits, THEY'RE HERE! I did find something I've been craving for a long time, I just haven't been lucky enough to find. Young tender coconut slices & perfect mango slices in a cup. The price is right. Now I know where to find them, without husking a coconut yourself! I also found some fresh small guavas!

Used to LOVE this place, but greed of newest owner is spoiling it AND the food it's trying to sell…read more Adding to what many reviewers have already said, many "expired" items are same price or sale price of major grocery stores. I have no problem eating "expired" food - dates are a suggestion, not a rule. But it should be MUCH cheaper than fresh, AND still edible. VERY expired food needs to be priced to move or it'll end up in the landfill. (Grocery Outlet does a GREAT job at this.) 79 cents for a brown, squishy avocado is pointless. Should have priced them 4/$1 when they were still edible! Organic nut butters are a good example: $3 for a small jar of organic peanut butter that's over a year out of date is just wrong. It's likely already off because it doesn't have the stabilizers more processed nut butters have. Fresh produce is still plentiful, but again, if it's grocery-store quality it's often same price or more than grocery stores: $2/lb for conventional broccoli, $1 for a fresh avocado, 69 cents for a lime... According to the multi-store owner's website, "our mission is to provide our customers with good quality groceries at affordable prices." It's not doing either consistently anymore, ripping off customers and contributing to food waste. Hard to believe the last owner didn't turn more profit. S/he sure made the place a MUCH nicer shopping experience... felt like digging for treasure with cheap gourmet items in every corner and cart! Staff were A LOT happier, too. :-(

Wide variety with plenty of options. Not being a big user of ultra processed food made shopping here a challenge. Fruits and veg are a scavenger hunt to find the fresher stuff, much of what I see is over ripe or off, again you get outrageous bargains but there is a lot to sort through to find the gems.
