The German Village location is calm, inviting, and just fun to walk through. I love looking at all the different plants, gifts, and accouterments (fun I got to use that word in a review). East Market in Olde Towne East is still open and both are probably equal distance for me so great to have another option. Service is great at both locations, and this one makes it easy to take your time, look around and explore. Don't forget to ask questions. The staff are always super helpful. Now there's a lot more room for their abundance of plants, gifts, and little knickknacks you never thought you needed, but you do! One of the owners was there to greet me and he was so friendly. I picked up a beautiful plant, & he gave me some great tips on how to keep it healthy and vibrant. He seemed very knowledgeable about everything in his store! The owner, I believe her name is Barbara, is warm, funny and full of great travel tips (and of upmost importance great food recommends). The quality is high and the prices are fair. From the exterior, you may be intimidated and assume it's snooty, but it ain't! The shopping experience was definitely entertaining and I could have of stayed for a while just to chat. If you're in the neighborhood, it's definitely worth a stop in to support a thoughtful small business. My only regret is the shop dog, Clyde, was asleep and had zero interest in meeting me.
