I stopped by this Dollar Tree location last week off the Redondo Beach Blvd exit on my way to work. While in the store, I had to use the restroom and was shocked by the condition it was in. The bathroom looked extremely unsanitary and neglected, honestly like something out of a horror film. What disturbed me even more was noticing a device mounted on the restroom ceiling that appeared to be a surveillance camera or recording device inside the all-gender restroom. I immediately felt uncomfortable and concerned for the privacy and safety of customers, especially children who may also use this bathroom. I took photos and video because the device appeared highly inappropriate for a restroom setting. There was only one employee working at the time, and I was unable to get any answers or assistance regarding the device. I am requesting that this matter be investigated immediately to determine whether this device is capable of recording video or monitoring customers inside the restroom. If it is a camera or surveillance device, this raises serious privacy concerns and may violate California privacy laws. Please confirm that this matter is being reviewed and that appropriate action will be taken immediately to protect customer privacy and safety. read more

In all the years i've been coming to this location, I've never witnessed or experienced, till today. Not much to say, but there was a cashier named Emely on duty. I was 3 customers behind, but I got to observe the lack of interaction, communication and overall customer service. The only 2 phrases she would say were "Bag?"... "Receipt?"... Literally nothing else. The customer before me walked up and looked at the cashier to greet her, but Emely was head down, texting on her phone. She made sure she finished her text before she asked "Bag?"... Then she started playing music on her phone. I was up next. "Bag?"... "No"....... "Receipt?"... "YES" (As I had purchased perishables)..... while I waited, she was still looking down at her phone, hit the "No receipt" button and said "Oh damn! You said you wanted the receipt!?" I said, "Yes I did."... She replied "Um.. You want me to get the manager?" I replied no. I'm not too convinced customer service or even work is her first priority. And if she wasn't distracted by her phone, none of this would've have happened. It was not a huge deal, but seeing the way she dealt with the customers before me, I knew she was going to mess up. I witnessed and experienced all of this within 3-4 minutes. I suggest the store manager brief her or even re-train her on the art of good customer service and interaction. Or, don't have her at the register dealing with people. Every other person for the past couple of years has been attentive and respectful. Hopefully she can improve before being sent out to interact with the public. Other than that, I've nothing nevative to say about this location. Convenient and always stocked to the gills. read more

The worker Esmeralda was really rude. I asked her for a balloon and she said there was no helium and when I went to grab a balloon, that was already there, she told me if I can hurry up and pay for my stuff because she had a line very rudely. And there was no line !! She could've just set my stuff to the side in the first place and helped the next person She needs to work on her customer service and when she gave me my receipt and didn't say not one thing and I just walked away. I drove by a few times while it was being built. Then, when I drove by the other day, I noticed it was OPEN! I went on to do what I had on my list to do for the day, then I swung by and gave it a good look around. There is a parking lot that is kind of tiny, if they should get busy! Since it is a new store, it is very clean and inviting! Basically, it has the same type of items as the other Dollar Trees. I just love shopping at these stores!! It has paper goods, automotive stuff, groceries, household cleaners, beverages, pet supplies, and a refrigeration/freezer case. So inexpensive!! But beware, you'll start putting in so many things because everything is a dollar or less, then you end up spending lots! LOL Come visit this nice and clean store! read more

If you are going to sell fragile items like wine glasses etc it would be great if you would provide your stores with some kind of wrapping paper to wrap them in. Can you imagine- the girl put 4 wine glasses in a plastic bag. So I had to buy like 4 shopping bags to wrap them in. And then just left them for me to wrap and started ringing other customers while all my items were still sitting around. So I had to figure out which items were mine. I know you get what u pay for. But gosh. I probably wouldn't have even written all this if the salesperson wasn't so damn rude and unhelpful!!! read more

This is my favorite Dollar Tree Store(: It is always clean stocked and organized. The staff members are friendly and helpful. They always have everything I need and like. I like how they decorate the sections of the store according to theme of what they are selling, I think that's nice and cute. The prices are affordable for the things I need and like. I have no issues here. Smooth transactions here every time. Just have patience. I see customers complaining about this place but I think it's the customers that are rude. We customers are always needy and demanding..and so quick to get upset. Do some customers even ask how the workers are doing? I always do and I can see it makes them feel good to be acknowledged. They're doing the best they can esp during times of COVID. They're always stocked with stuff ..all holidays in one lol they have a good amount of selection on decorations and party supplies as well.. read more

I had a very bad experience here waiting in line, along with several other people who were also waiting. The lady who was at the register checking out decided that she wanted to buy some balloons that were on the wall by the check-out counter. She then proceeded to casually shop for the balloons she wanted, with the help of the cashier, who kept bringing balloons down and putting them back up. This went on for about ten minutes while some customers in line complained out loud and a couple of them just set their things down and left. All this time the lady who was taking her time to decide and the cashier ignored the other people in line. I felt this was very inconsiderate of the other people who were ready to check out and pay for the items they had already selected. The lady who was now looking at various balloons and deciding what she wanted to buy could have made her selections before ever coming to the check out line. She could have easily taken them down herself as well. She also could have enlisted the help of another Dollar Tree worker to pick out the balloons she wanted before getting in the check-out line. Dollar Tree should have a policy in place for situations like this. It was rude and inconsiderate of all the people who were ready to check out and pay for the items they had in their baskets. I drive by this location 4-5 times a week and I finally stopped by for a couple of snacks. I have been to 2 other locations in the surrounding area and this Dollar Tree is the smallest one by far. Which is unfortunate because the parking lot is equally as small. If you are lucky enough to find a spot you will find that this is a pretty decent low-cost store. You'll find everything from school supplies, snacks, and random goodies. Overall this location is just okay for me. They have so many items and isles but crammed into such a tiny place. Check out can take a while depending on what tie you go. I the time of my visit, it was very slow, so I didn't experience this problem. read more

I've visited this Dollar Tree numerous times and always find staffing to be a problem. Whether it's to find out what aisle a product is on, to pick out some balloons and have them filled, and even just to check out, I can never find anyone. It's really frustrating, especially when I'm in a rush. I find their stock to be comparable to other Dollar Trees in the area. Their parking lot is small and difficult to navigate. The spaces are narrow and I'm always worried that my car might get dinged because of how close I am to other cars. I purely go to this location based on proximity to my house and the nearby 405-N freeway on-ramp. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't return. read more

This Dollar Tree needs some new (and actual) management stat! This isn't the first, and I know it won't be last time, this Dollar Tree has let me down. With a line of 10+ frustrated people, there was only one cashier. This is normal for this place. Where are the employees? Oh they're being called over the PA to take on a register, but it's also not abnormal for them to be wearing AirPods on the job. How are you going to listen to the PA with headphones on?! So of course the extra cashier gets called three times to no avail. So what about management? Oh, they're off to the side having a side convo seeing the store getting more and more packed. Instead of taking initiative and hoping on a register, she just tells someone to keep calling someone over the PA, unsuccessfully as aforementioned, and goes about her side conversation. Like I said, if this was a one time occurrence, I wouldn't be posting, these things happen...but this keeps being a repeated reality here. Any other Dollar Tree in the soutbay is more efficient, cleaner, and actually managed. I'll be visiting those moving forward. read more

Shockingly, this place is pretty organized. However, The staff NEVER smiles and is always on their phone and when you are ready to check-out and you have all your stuff... there's nobody at the register. You just have to stand at a random register until someone sees you on the floor and pray they take the initiative to ring up a customer. This is my biggest pet-peeve. The never smiling thing isn't a big deal, but when you also say, "Hi, how are you?" and they ignore you or just say, "OK", it's a bit rude and frustrating. I don't even try anymore. read more

She told me that the lines can have no more than 3 people in them and that I must walk around the store and wait fir tge line to die down. 10/15/2017. I was looking for circus peanuts and she told me that she can't make time to find something for a single customerml. There's a lot of work to do. She didn't feel I needed the circus peanuts. After all, look at me! Circus peanuts weren't for me. I was giving them to a needy family. They had to go without because I don't need to be earing circus peanuts according to Vicky. 12/15/2017. I was buying several items with an American Express gift card. There was less on the card than I had thought. She wasn't able to void out my order. I had to forego my money and leave without items. I frequent this store a lot because I work so close. I happen to sto by last night on one of the busiest nights and Felicia was a blessing. She is a team player and trooper. She ensured all balloons needed were ready to go, jumped over to the cash register to assist her coworker and pulled the people from the line in a professional manner so that no one was left waiting longer than their original place in line. She is a multitasker and noticed small baskets were needed quickly grabbed those placed them to the store front and began servicing again in less than a minute. She always greeted and politely asked to excuse herself. Service was great and I was happy to see a great worker finally at this location it seems like she loves her job as everyone should read more

Today I experienced the kindness of the store employee named Claudia. I was browsing for Christmas and before I knew it my hands were full. When placing my items down, I misplaced my purse. Claudia returned it to me and when I tried to compensate her for it, she said that it was her job as an employee of the store and it was the right thing to do. So humble, so very kind and honest. Bought a few items and bagging my stuff when I got home checked my items and missing just one item out of 10 items I purchased. Called the store and name Chelsea answered the phone I told everything what happen. She answer me in a rude way saying it's your responsibility check ur item before u leave the store. Let me tell this CHELSEA, the reason missing one because the Checker didn't hand me the item ok??!!! Don't jump the conclusion without investigating girl!! Very rude and hang up on me. I've been under the impression that closing time is exact as you would expect to get paid for hours worked..However the manger loves to close early it's says 9:00pm but she closes at 8:45pm. I get it we all want to go home but own it first instead of just managing! read more

Dollar tree normally always has good products for a decent price. However when I walked in this time, there was no cashier at the registers, I found a worker organizing merchandise by the registers and asked if she was open. She responded yes, and continued to organize merchandise. At this point there were 3 other people waiting to check out. Then I proceeded to ask if I could get some balloons inflated. I was told they do not inflate outside balloons, bizarre as I have gotten outside balloons inflated there before. I normally get charged for helium. The 99 cent store does it, party city does it, and this pace used to do it. Apparently not anymore. Very disappointed in the customer service response I received from the employee. read more

I use to love coming to this store but lately I have noticed its going down hill. This store is always a mess, theres always boxes upon boxes in the aisle, I hope someone doesnt hurt themselves by tripping over one of the boxes one day. The staff here are ok. There are a few very nice employees, especially the skinny hispanic girl with brownish hair. Shes very friendly, but others sometimes dont speak. I also noticed lately that they often have one line open even if the one line is very long and the have other employees working. Ok well let me start off by saying that if I had the option to rate them no stars I would but since I don't I'm forced to give them 1 I always come to this store because I'm a local here and I always see the same girl at the register "Vicky" Who's very rude I don't know why she's working a customer service job when she has no customer skills she's not polite I say thank you when she hands me my change and she doesnt say nothing. I usually don't leave negative reviews but last nights experience upset me as a regular customer. This is my local dollar tree and it doesnt bother me that the employees dont smile or greet me as long as I can find what I need. More than once I have come before closing time and their doors are shut. No one is in sight so I usually end up driving away without asking why their doors are already closed when their doors say they close at 9pm. Last night all I wanted was ONE balloon, just ONE. When I walk in, there is one cashier ringing up a couple and she rudely says "EXCUSE ME WERE CLOSED!"... not even sounding apologetic or anything for not letting me in 8 minutes before closing time. Didnt even bother asking what I needed and if I could get it quickly... She was still helping out a couple at the register so why was it a problem for me to grab ONE balloon and get rung up? I proceeded to tell her that the door states 9pm, not 8:52pm for closing time. Hmmm, she rudely told me again they close at 8:45pm. Didnt even let me ask nicely if I could quickly grab a balloon. So rude. Maybe they could change their hours on the door to say closing time is at 8:45pm. Will now be driving further to a much nicer, friendlier dollar tree store. read more
