Great variety of products although a necessarily limited depth but still it's hard not to find what's needed. I have since been in other DG's but the execution at this store is the best. The employees are friendly and after only a few visits recognize customers and even what they usually buy. The store is neat and clean and the employees care about doing a good job. No slackers here. The prices are good and there is a police officer out front ALWAYS on duty. Some items are knock-offs (I.e. FruityRocks instead of FruityPebbles) and there's always interesting parts/cuts of beef and other animals. The service was pleasant even with a long wait. Tip: Bring your own bags since Save-a-Lot charges for their plastic. Also, Unless you need something super quick, head over to Publix which, is just a few blocks away. Cleaner, safer, more variety.

I think that's an apt description. Apparently the Popshelf chain is owned by Dollar General. It feels like an elevated dollar store experience, except most items are more than $1. There was a little bit of everything-home goods, cosmetics, toys, cleaning supplies, arts & crafts, pet stuff, snacks, and more. It's one of those stores where you go because you have an idea of something you want to buy but nothing specific, so you just browse around and see what you can find. I can't imagine shopping here all the time, but I'll stop in from time to time to see what kind of goodies I might be able to find.

In the back is a large selection of candy which is very well priced. My husband found Necco wafers for $1.00 compared to $1.79. It's all self checkout, the girl was very friendly and helpful with my nail polish. I wish it wasn't so far from my house, I hope they open one in the St Pete area soon. I recommend checking it out.

The first time I came here was last May, where I was shopping for clothing suitable (no pun intended) for my sister's wedding. They were patient, humorous, and very helpful to my family. The worker who helped me today, Anna, did a marvelous job in helping me...Especially since today was my first day shopping for formal clothing solo! She was very patient as well, made sure to take measurements, and was super accommodating and helpful when it came to selecting clothing that was both appropriate for the event I was attending and thy could fit me. She was also very knowledgeable in what clothing colors are appropriate for what occasion, and boy am I glad to have had her in my corner today. Thanks to her, I walked out a happy customer able to breathe a sigh of relief that I got what I needed! In general, I've come to find a lot of clothing to be of higher quality and variety than elsewhere in the mall. What really separates them from the rest is just how much the stores accommodates the bigger sizes, including me. Granted, they're rather pricey, but again it's not easy making clothing for people such as myself so I don't hold that against them.
