I always come to this location but I've never had an experience quite like the one I had with Nayla. She was incredibly pleasant, kind, and so personable, it really made my visit stand out. It's not often you come across someone who brings such a positive and welcoming energy, and Nayla truly does. She made the whole experience quick, easy, and enjoyable. Located in Signal Hill, this location of Dollar Tree has a large footprint and is situated in the same shopping area as Petco, Ross, Home Depot on one side with restaurants (In-N-Out, Applebee's, Jack in the Box, Chipotle, Starbucks) on the other side of the parking lot. It's very large with well marked aisles...unfortunately, we must have stopped towards the tail end of their replenishment cycle since many of the shelves were bare. The unmarked items are now $1.25 which is pretty good. I would normally grab an ice cream item, but there wasn't much there for that price. They did have multi-packs of ice cream but the price was $5, which isn't great. Just need to know what's a good deal for things you want/need, and jump on it when you find one. read more

There's workers walking around with only one cashier. The line is all the way to the back. Customer service is for sure not here.

We walked in around 6:45 or something and the line was long and only 1 person was working at register 1. I got in line around 7:00 and the line grew longer and 3 other employees were in the the corner and didn't even attempt to come help anyone! Everyone was complaining and they didn't come and I walked over and took a picture of the line and them as well just talking like the line isn't long! The cashier Brianda is very rude. She took along time coming to the register and to make matters worst, she put people in front of me without asking or saying anything. She goes on to ring up my items and never greeted me or ask if I wanted a bag. Ms Brianda should not work with the public or stay home if she's In a bad mood. A value store that I only see in certain neighborhoods is it a welcome intrusion I'm not sure because there are sooo many. But but I am grateful that they have items to suit the needs of someone with a small budget. I'm not a regular customer but when I do visit I always leave with more than what I came for. You can refer to my old review for prior purchases. As always the store is clean and packed with many useful items but this visit is all about the candy and supplies for Easter Sunday. Today's pic are pretty much brand name items. I will buy occasionally buy off brands but haven't liked most of them so I'll continue to stick with familiar brands until I test more. Here's what I chose today. Retro candy Chick o sticks: I loved these as a child so a small bag is a must for this retro candy loving gal. Milky Way This one has marshmallows and caramel it's sounds interesting will I like it remains to be seen. Crabby patties My daughter used to love these gummy candies so I both them for nostalgia reasons. White face towels: a must have for this let mom. I use these solely for washing Dylan's face to keep it tear free and clean after she eats lunch and dinner. They are so cheap but well made and I toss them after a few months and re/buy them when they fray. Orange jelly beans: With a cute Easter wrapping I bought them just as a filler and because they are orange flavored. Jelly belly This flavor is "kids mix" 20 flavors kids love. I love this brand and would have bought more if they had more flavors. That's it for now and I'll add more pics as I visit the store. read more

I really like this Dollar Tree. It seems to have more art items than other Dollar Tree locations.

I don't know what is going on with this store. For weeks most of their shelves are empty. The clerks deny that the store is closing. Perhaps it's poor management? Before the situation with empty shelves, they definitely needed more help. They would only have one or two cashier lines open with at least 15 shoppers deep. Crazy, at one time they had on 3 shopping carts available and NO hand baskets for their shoppers and when they did get some in, they tacked them to their register stands for items to sell. They also run out of bags, so now you need to purchase the one for a dollar & 25 cents. For the last 2 years this store has really come down. read more

I like this dollar tree because it is very clean, the shelves are very well stocked and I usually find whatever it is that I'm looking for. They are also great at always having seasonal knick knacks available. I can't comment on the staff as I've never has to ask them for help. I do usually get greeted once I walk in the store from one of the cashiers which I guess is a good thing. read more

What can I say other than it's a dollar tree you can get all kinds of stuff. Like I got lucky my dog loves dog chow guess what they have it $1.00 a box $3.00 elsewhere. And he loves gravy train wet food and they have that also and you get two cans for a $1.00. They also some times have a large selection of frozen goodies. read more

yesterday on may, 12, 2024 we attempted to buy a visa gift card. when we went to the register ti be informed that we couldn't buy it because the store manager wasn't available. the employee told us to wait 30 minutes to an hour until she came back. i wish they had a better system or at least they could inform us before hand with a sign.the dollar tree has some good valuable items but i just didn't like how they wouldn't tell us. read more

Ok, now be honest- who else is like me when you receive a greeting card you check the back to see how much the person paid for it? Lol. Well you can find 'expensive' cards for $.50 and $1 at the Dollar Tree. You can fool your people in thinking you spent some dollars on the card when you only spent $.50. Lol. The employees are mostly nice and as helpful as possible. 3x I've asked to use the restroom and blown off. The biggest issue here is when a line gets long most times another aisle is not opened up. If I walk in and see a long line, most times I turn right back around. Also, when someone orders balloons the line just stops. The cashier has to get balloons and blow them up. First off, those balloons should be outlawed; yet if they're selling them someone other than the cashier should have to take the time to get them and blow them Back again with a huge line. I was there today, the manger Gabriela was humiliating one of her employees. She was yelling at her and abusing her cashier to the point where she bust out crying. This is the worse manager I have ever seen going to contact the labor board and human Rights activist! This is the second time i witness this woman being super nasty and abusing her employees. I will call corporate and ask for her to be re trained or terminated. I will contact higher grounds. Also I would like to mention she was on her phone during my entire transaction!! read more

Who doesn't love saving mula at discount stores??! Great for my budget needs. Party supplies are a must. Decorations, balloons, 2 for $1 cards (it's the thought that counts, right?) Seasonal items are a bargain. I come here for Halloween, Christmas, Easter baskets, St. Patrick's day...you get the idea lol Even dog toys!! I hate spending full price for things that my pup will most likely destroy. So I save myself the headache and buy doggie items from the dollar tree that I don't care about not lasting forever. I visited the dollar tree location in Signal Hill, CA today around 1:00-1:30 pm and there was no regard for public safety during this Covid-19 outbreak. The only measures I saw were a small plexy glass and some tape. The store was packed, unmaintained, there was no limit on the number of customers allowed inside, 6ft distance and face mask were not enforced. People were not keeping a safe distance from your employees and their lives were at risk. The cashier was having a hard time with the crowd who kept walking up to her to ask questions and there was no manager there to help her. There were only 2 lanes open and each line went all the way to the back of the store. There were only 4 tapes in each lane to show separation despite having lines to the back of the store in small aisles. read more

DIRT CHEAP crafting supplies, cards, wrapping paper, ribbons, tissue paper, party favors, tablecloths, picnic / party ware, gift bags, and TWO aisles of little toys for kids! I love to come in to this place to buy those kinds of things.... it's fun and you can fill up a basket and not even spend $20 - lol. Their craft section just keeps growing. If you're having a party and intend on picking up paper goods/decorations/the ilk, go to this Dollar Tree first! They have an enormous section of paper goods in all colors, gift bags, wrapping paper and bows, party decorations (birthday, holiday, luau), invitations, party favors for kids, plastic flowers and stuff to put 'em in, confetti, etc. Seriously, I've never seen this sort of selection in a dollar store. Besides that, they have your regular dollar store stuff, although somehow, it seemed like better quality than at the 99 Cents Only Store. However, their frozen food section is small, they don't have produce, and their food selection in general wasn't as broad as 99COS's. On the super bright side, um, there's a perfume by a celebrity who doesn't deserve my money, and I've been looking for an impostor fragrance for YEARS (her love don't cost a thing, but her perfume, on the other hand...). I have come to love the Dollar Tree and find myself driving right past the 99 cent only stores to do all my cheap shopping at the Dollar Tree. This location is okay. I prefer the one on Alamitos and 15th ( I believe) I couldn't find that location here on Yelp. That one is VERY clean and well stocked!! Items I hadn't seen at the California st location I found at the Alamitos location. The lainey can get long, bit the staff are pretty good about opening up another checkout line. If I go to the one on Alimetos ave in long beach it seams smaller but has more? .99 Only has more . I had no problem with the staff. & you can hit Petco , Ross, & Home Defect in the same place. I went to the store on Oct. 31, just to purchase 4 items only. When I headed to the cashier to the line was all the way down to the back off the store. Customers keep ask that another register to be open. The poor cashier was getting nervous n overwhelmed. The assistant manager Gaby came out n instead of helping the cashier, she had the nerve to tell her in Spanish that she was slow. I told her she n assistance manager she should be assisting her cashier instead of been behind close door doing nothing. All she replied was that why I'm the assistant manager. I wish she would show a little more respect to her cashier's. She does not deserve to no assistant manager if she's not capable to assist. Anyone. read more
