September 2025 Best Dollar Tree I have ever shopped at!! Lots of parking, easy electric doorway, clean and wide aisles and staff is very friendly. Upon entering I grabbed a shopping cart in the front of the store. I looked at all the aisles. Everything was neatly displayed and organized. The wide aisles made it easy to push my cart around the store. When I went to pay there was one cashier. As the line built up a second sales person opened another register. I shop at many Dollar Tree Stores all over the country. This was the most pleasant shopping experience I have ever had at a Dollar Tree Store. This Dollartree is on a busy El Camino so follow your GPS on your first visit. I'm impressed that this store was stocked well, wider aisles and seemed like more of a Dollartree plus store. I've been looking for square mirrors with glittery borders as well as round simple mirrors and a few votive candle holders as well as crafting supplies like gems, mirror tiles, paint, disco tiles and glues. This place left me feeling happy that the somewhat long drive was worth it. The cashier actually was very friendly. She wore a scarf or a 'do rag and even took the time to wrap my glass and mirrored items. Other Dollartree's just put it in the bag and just said "we're out of paper" but this cashier followed the extra step of great CUSTOMER SERVICE. As of this writing, I see it's rated 3.7 stars on Yelp, which is higher than most dollar trees and I can see the reasons. read more

A great place to come to for some bargain deals. I wanted to make some holiday kits for some kids and was able to come in and get a bunch of stuff to make the goodie bags for a great deal. Also stocked up on a bunch of wrapping paper. The Dollar Tree has a bunch of other household necessities as well. While the options might be a bit more limited, it's a great place to get some staples. The aisles can be a little cramped, especially if there are other people maneuvering their way through and there can be a bit of congestion around the checkout lines. read more

Greetings to all- My experience at this store has only changed with time, through the many interior improvements and the vast selection of food and other products that makes your hard earned dollars stretch even farther . Each time I get kitchen items or cleaning products from this store , they perform just great as other items being sold in the bigger chain stores; which is a great value for your money. Thier products are relatively similar in size and quality compared to the other stores and brands. This is one of my favorite goto snack spots in the SSF area. Great values and the service good as well , though sometimes it may depend on how many people are working at the time. Plus, I can return any item for a full refund, if I have my receipt. Try that at the Goodwill. Ooooh, don't get me started on the Good f*$@#! will. I suggest when visiting Dollar Tree, come prepared. Have a list and stick to it. Their inventory changes often and if you start to wander the aisles you, or your kid, or your boyfriend that acts like a kid, is going to see something they absolutely must have. This location on El Camino is not my favorite location. I've been here several times and each time I find myself witnessing a world star worthy situation. For a dollar store this place is huge! This is the largest dollar store I've been to, the aisles were very clean, open and well lit. The staff was friendly and they immediately called for more cashiers when It got busy, was impressed. Best of all it didn't have that mothball smell to it. Got a tip off from one of the mommies in my group that they offered a selection of Gerber baby food, since I was going to be in the city I decided to stop off on the way home. Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am obsessed with Dollar Tree. It started last year with my great Christmas tree ornament haul in Pacifica. I was really impressed with the quality of ornaments I found pre-December that rivaled similar styles that were more expensive at Michaels. That year I saved so much money on Christmas Tree ornaments and gift wrap that I was able to buy each of my 2 daughters an extra Christmas gift. Then I went to Dollar Tree again for a party haul. I bought plates, utensils, napkins, cups, tablecloth and streamers in the color of the party theme. I also found sterno cans to keep food at the buffet warm. I found all kinds of aluminum pans in various sizes for the buffet. Lastly, I found assorted plastic serving dishes and utensils. The next trip was specifically for a beauty haul to find things for donation. I found a lot of mass market drugstore brands for $1 that I would have to aggressively coupon to get to $1 at the drugstore. A lot of the brands carried here are also cruelty free like Milani, LA Colors, Wet N Wild, and ELF. Couple said $1 item with a coupon and you are in deep savings zone. Recently I befriended a great group of ladies who have beauty and lifestyle blogs, Instagram, YouTube channels, etc. They keep me abreast of the best finds for the month at Dollar Tree. I found so many great personal care and beauty items to try, love, share, donate. I love their gift bags, tissue paper and 2/$1 greeting cards. I bought a box of 20 Christmas cards here for $1. There are also great non-beauty seasonal items that I will specifically drive from here to Sacramento to visit every Dollar Tree to find. Of course I wind up finding other things I need or want ...which is fine. Now I go to buy the yummy lightly scented candles, picture frames, and to find things for the kitchen like seasonal dish cloths and oven mitts, mugs and whatever. I also buy tape for presents, packing tape and bubble envelopes for shipping love and care packages to my family overseas. I buy movie theater style candy for $1 a box because well...you know. Despite a list based on items from the email from Dollar Tree letting me know what's new in store and my network of friends who are hardcore Dollar Tree shoppers, I never know what I treasures I will find here - which is really a big part of the excitement for me. This is my favorite Dollar Tree location due to the vast and delightful items one can buy here. Many of their items are in stock and their organization is fantastic! Many of the other DT locations are horrific such as the one in top of the hill Daly City.! Also this location has the nicest and efficient cashiers who seem to enjoy their job. Most of the employees I've interacted with here are super nice. The one who stands out the most is Monique. This dollar tree is a bit outdated, needs more parking, very small, and doesn't have as much as others, but I still find a decent amount of things, friendly staff, and organized items/clean place. Went here today with my husband and we grabbed a bunch of goodies for the trick or treaters this year. I'm sorry but Jonas the cashier needs to get fired and I don't care if he reads this. I worked in retail before and I know it can be annoying but COME ON MAN. The minute he saw that we had a lot on our cart, he had an attitude. But guess what? My cart is paying YOUR WAGE! I was polite to him, so there was no reason to warrant his attitude towards my mother. We had a cart with 4 boxes full of candles and WE KNEW to just leave it in the cart and just tell the cashier how many we had and my mom just turned around to the cart and he says, "Ma'am, you don't have to put the whole box on here". We're not stupid. We've been loyal customers and regularly buy candles for our DECEASED loved ones here, so we know what to do. He instructs us to only put one of each candle (4 different candle colors, 48 pieces). No other employee has had a problem with us with big purchases especially when they know why. He scans all of our other items and just stupidly thought we only needed one plastic bag for all of our purchases and leaves our easter decorations at the end of the table and my mother asks him if he can give her a plastic bag for the decorations so she can bag and put them away (my mom shouldn't even be helping you anyways) and he says, "MA'AM, WAIT". Like excuse me???? You're just leaving our stuff there and I TOLD YOU WE NEEDED BAGS. That's when I got rude. Then, he didn't see the 4 different colored candles, so he says, "Ugh ma'am how many candles do you have, I said-" and I cut him off because nobody is going yo give my mom attitude in front of my face, "they're right there already!" He just says, "Oh". We love this Dollar Tree, probably the most polite branch between San Francisco and South SF, but WOW. I can be empathetic with workers especially when it's busy but when you have a nasty attitude especially with my mom, that's a big no no. read more

Overall I like this store. Just had an issue with policy. My granddaughter wanted to get something out of the vending toy machines at the front of the store. She put her money in the machine and the toy did not come out. She lost her money. I informed the manager and was told that the machines were not theirs, they came from an outside source and I would have to call the number on the machine. Of course the company who owned the machines didn't refund my granddaughter's money. It wasn't the dollar, it was the principal of the thing. My granddaughter spent her own money and it was a lot to her. I told the manager that since the machines were in the store, they should be responsible for them or take them out of the store. Worth a visit for cheap stuffs that don't look cheap, yes. Inside it kind of looked like a drugstore, or what you can find at drugstores. You can find glow-in-the-dark bracelets for clubbing here for a dollar. Not everything is one dollar though. For example, you can get a holiday door knob for only $0.50 (think a large ring with a paper foam reindeer and bells). But, I couldn't find an ugly Christmas sweater or holiday suspenders. Workers here a very friendly. The narrow/sharp-turn entryway is in the middle of El Camino Real. The immediate parking spots after the turn-in often causes backups out into the road as a result and is not exactly safe. read more

While waiting in line I notice that an employee ringing up people at a cash register did not have a mask on. After speaking with the manager on duty Andrew he stated that There is nothing that he can tell her face on her age and your served. Andrews and stated that his employees have been screened but not tested for covid 19. During our interaction I Notice that a customer called out the said employee for not wearing a mask and the employee proceeded to flip her off. Andrew stated that there was nothing that he can do because he was not a law enforcement officer. After asking him to speak with the employee Andrew refused and stated that the shareholders cared more about their money than they did in employee not wearing a mask. Yeah I am cheap and this place is great for me. I never have to wonder how much an item is. Most of the stuff are fairly common, but occasionally there would be this great item that they have here cheaper than everyone else. I once bought the 20oz Oxygen cleaning solution here while everyone else was selling the 16oz containers. While going to Target or Costco, buying a 5lb bucket on average will cost $1.24 per lb. They may go under, but never over. Amazing. They have their own parking lot so parking isn't really much of an issue and there's always spots out on the street, too. Service here is really whatever. The workers don't really go out of their way to help you and the check out people don't really try to make small talk either. It's really more of a just find your things and pay then leave kind of place. I guess what I like about them is that they have a bunch of different items all for $1. I would have gave 5 stars but I was in on Friday and witnessed what I've been told is a female manager named Leslie arguing not only with customers but with a young man who I was later told is the asst Manager. Arguing with customers is bad customer service and than to stomp over like a 2 year old having a tantrum and yelling that he needs to tell her something not sure about what. The young man kept his cool , he was with one of the cashiers so he was respectful never raised his voice. I honestly commend him for not yelling back at her.
