I don't think that's ever happened to us before. Sales process was easy, they asked for 50% down & let us know about when the furniture would be ready for delivery. Here's where it gets even better. About 3 weeks after our visit to Giorgi Brothers, we stopped into a furniture store in San Bruno to look at tables. We saw the same sofa we had just purchased at Giorgi, but it was almost $300 less & they offered free shipping. Now what? Too late to cancel, but quite a price disparity. I got a written price quote from store #2, submitted it with a gently worded email to Giorgi Brothers, asking if they might consider matching the price and they said YES. I was floored. I want to give big props to everyone at Giorgi Brothers for their above & beyond excellent service and standing by their policy of price-matching. The order was shipped from the NJ store and was to arrive within 2days of ordering. Fantastic! The order got to the FedEx distribution center near me on time then the tracking showed "Shipping Exception" so I put in a ticket with FedEx to see what happened. They advised I "contact the shipper." So I called the number found in the tracking for the NJ store only to be treated like a nuisance by the person answering the phone. After explaining the situation, I was told "we shipped your order. Nothing we can do." So I asked that they contact FedEx since it was their chosen shipper. I was told that was impossible and to call Customer Support which is World Market's central support instead of the NJ store. I called and spoke to a gentleman who seemed helpful until I was told it would be another 6-8days before a replacement shipment could be sent. I asked to have the ground shipping upgraded since it has been almost a week since it was supposed to arrive. The person refused and said I could cancel the order, get a refund and pay for the expedited shipping. I don't understand how upgrading the shipping to replace an obviously broken shipment would be such a big deal. Especially since FedEx is going to cover the damage by their service. So in the end I asked for a refund. I'll find the item elsewhere. Unreal.

Reserved parking spots are right in front, and the employee Mark was super nice. He helped bring the cart out next to the trunk of the car and even helping me load. No line and it's pretty quick. A clock I bought had some cosmetic damage and he just shipped me a replacement. Easy peasy - I dare say even more convenient than a regular IKEA store where you have to wait in line for pickup and walk / navigate far. Just wish that the inventory of the nearby stores could all be picked up at this Colma location (most items were available for pickup but not all). In and out within a few minutes, and a super convenient location for those coming from San Francisco so they don't have to cross toll or drive super far down to E Palo Alto!
