    Candy all over floor!
    John G.

This review is for the White Plains store. There is not much good I can say except that even though the cashiers are overwhelmed, many try their best to be pleasant. I have not experienced nasty ones, as some others have posted. The place is a dismal testament to poor management. Always dirty and cluttered with candy strewn all over the floor and nothing put on racks. Just dumped into bins. Floor is a filthy, sticky mess and I see the same open food on the floor even a week later. There are boxes of inventory stacked to the ceiling waiting to be shelved, but they remain day after day while the shelves in the corner photo are bare. Doesn't this chain ever inspect White Plains? It's embarrassing. They must know they're going out of business...everyone has given up...they don't even TRY to keep it sanitary.

This place is an ABSOLUTE mess. I've been at least 10 times and each time is worse than the next. This last time was the worst and I just left. Do yourself a favor and walk a block over to Happy Discount Center at 112 Mamaroneck. It's well stocked and above all...it's clean an organized. I refuse to go back to this Dollar Tree again. Whoever the owner is should be completely ashamed.

This Dollar tree in White Plains use to be my favorite place to go, but lately it becoming very unpleasant to shop at. First of all the employee are so unprofessional, which I could over look because I love the dollar tree products. What I can't over look is the ton of boxes stacked in the front of the store, I feel like how do you sell products that are in boxes and isn't this a fire hardzard. The thing that put the icing on the cake for me was that when you walk in the store it smells like dead mice and there are mice droppings everywhere thoughout the store this is totally disgusting, the department of health need to shut this place down until they get their act together.

For this type of store it is very good. Many assorted items. Different things coming in everyday. They just need more registers.

it's not amazing for a store but it's 4/5 stars on being a nice dollar tree that's never sold out of things!

I don't like that all their gloves were in large & extra large for sizes; no one ever seems to respect the needs of women, especially skinny women. I also found a set of spoons in the same design/composition that I'd been trying to replace or get more of for ages. The store is organized fairly well, wasn't messy though a little cluttered and no issues shopping here in general. FYI, there is a $10 minimum if you want to pay by debit or credit card. It's located right behind their Synagogue and a few blocks off Mamaroneck Ave. I'll be straight up, heading down the few steps leading to Back Door seemed sketchy- but I moved past that because I knew there was light at the end of the tunnel. Back Door isn't huge- but to their defense, they have a good handle gathering items by sections. Upscale and lower-end items are all mixed in together, so you're going to have to do a little digging. I've been doing Thrift shopping for ages- but my thing is...there ain't nothing a good dry cleaners won't do. I'm usually on the hunt for something weird and sorting through the aisles to see if I find a treasure or two. Majority of times, I've doctored up my pieces, gotten rid of buttons to replace with funkier ones, replaced lamp shades, bought large wooden pieces of whatever, etc. Then again...there's always Pinterest. Right? This is the place to haggle- and by the way- it's only CA$H. I scored a Rainbow Cuff Bracelet for $3, a few other Bracelets. Plus a bright Red and Fuschia Clutch going for $10- and in the end, got it for $6. Nice experience, wouldn't hurt me to try it again.

I don't even know who else sells them, I've been getting them from this store for so long. When I'm there, I may find some other things that I can use. For instance, today I went in for 2 aluminum pans, but also walked out with a container of hand sanitizer, a box with compartments to prepare daily vitamins, a phone charging wire and a package of sponges for polishing silver. Total bill: $6.53, including sales tax. When needed, it's a great place for wrapping paper & bows and all kinds of cheap party supplies. There are all kinds of things you can get that actually cost $1. Be careful with the food, it may have an expired date. Most of the items are not national brand names. I'm picky about that when it comes to toiletries, so I never get any there. But it's worth a look-see to decide whether any of the myriad of things they carry are bargains for you. If you're looking for good customer service, a very clean store or if you're in a rush, this isn't the place for you. People who require good customer service should to a retail store that gets higher prices (to pay better clerks) for whatever you might get here for $1. The people are beyond rude (I usually ask other customers when I'm trying to find something) and there is no returning anything. Make sure it is what you want before you check out. I plan for time spent online (it can be 5 or 10 actual minutes) and I get the things I know work for me, so I gave it 4 stars.
