Dolli's is great! I went there and had breakfast with a work associate, and the service and food could not have been any better! 3 Omelette (Bacon, cheddar cheese, spinach& Mushroom) was perfect! It came with potatoes and a biscuit . The Trucker had 3 meats (Bacon, Sausage & Ham) along with eggs, potatoes and toast. I'm not sure you would go wrong ordering anything here, it all looks good. It's not often I get a chance to visit Nacogdoches, Texas but when I do, I will certainly go back to Dolli's. Check out the pictures/Paintings on the wall! Very colorful and makes the place! The food was delicious. I got the create your own omelette with extra cheese and bacon. I will say, though if I were to go here again, I probably would get a different type of cheese rather than American. Also, I might just get the French toast. I tried it from my mom's sandwich, which was some sort of French toast sandwich with egg and ham in between and I have to say the French toast is pretty good. The waiters were kind and the whole restaurant just felt very nostalgic feeling, sort of like a 50s café.

We are from out of town and saw Dollis Diner on Yelp. I thought we would give jt a try. I'm glad we did. It's our 3rd time coming here, and we are looking forward to coming more before we leave. The food is great, and the price is reasonable, and their specials are great. The service is super, very friendly and on top on our orders and anything we needed. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been in the area on bidness a good bit and this is the first recommendation I received from a local that I actually wanted to check out since it was not a fast casual chain closer to the college that was going to be mobbed with college students trying to get a quick bite between games of Beirut or whatever college students do these days. It is next door to City Hall and the firehouse, in ye olde town square. There is a lot of free parking nearby, but since this passes for the high density city centre other people are also coming here, not just you. The first time I attempted to do lunch here there was no parking available among all of that free parking and I even circled the blocks for a while until I finally just went back to the hotel and tried another day. So another day I came back and there was parking available. If at first you don't succeed ... When I first walked in I liked that they had appropriate signage in front that you needed to wait to be seated. Without appropriate signage it is just anarchy. As I was getting seated I saw trash all over the floor underneath some tables along the left wall and those tables looked dirty. When I got seated in the center aisle, my table was a bit sticky, but at least not covered in trash up above or down below. So I suppose that is some of the charm of this joint, if not also the Betty Boop tchotchkes everywhere. The server was a pleasant, attentive young man. I waited what seemed a good long while for my salad. The Cobb salad at $10 was fairly priced with reasonably fresh ingredients. The chicken was bland but it is a salad that you have ordered from a diner with a sticky tabletop so everything about the ambiance and the numerous Betty Books glaring at you should tell you that most people do not mosey on in here and order a salad, everyone else and their mother are getting the pancakes or other things you slather with a bunch of syrup, just like that Three Six Mafia tune. However, this soyboy charts his own path and wanted a salad, presumably the one non-sticky entree ever devoured upon this table. The location in town cannot be beat. The servers are friendly and accommodating. If you are a fan of the Bob's Burgers teevee programme you have heard of a greasy spoon type of place before, well this is a sticky tabletop type of place so your mileage may vary if you order anything that does not need syrup on it. For a salad in this area from a local joint, rather than something out of the various fast foods dotting the area around the SFA campus down the road, you could not do better than here. Things I wished someone explained to me: why all the Betty Boops up in here. The place is called Dolli, not Betty. I need someone to explain this to me because I have an active imagination and I assume the truth is much more interesting than anything I could come up with.

Dolli's Diner is located on the square in Downtown Nac. We were told we had a 20-25 minute wait, but our table was ready in less than 20 minutes. It was hard to choose between breakfast or lunch, but Hubby and I settled on lunch. I had the Rueben and Hubby the burger. The Rueben was fantastic, and Hubby said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. Service was friendly and the prices are great value. It is clear to see why Dolli's is a local favorite!

Great food with large servings. We went on a Monday morning so no wait for a table but I hear weekends can be long waits. Blueberry pancakes were the best I ever had.

I was passing through and had a craving for good diner food. I found Dolli's and even though there was a wait for a table I decided the menu looked good enough to stick it out. I was not disappointed! The waitress, Zea, was very attentive despite the busy lunch hour and kept my coffee topped off. I ordered migas and a biscuit and the whole meal was absolutely perfect and just what I needed to give me energy for my long drive home. Would definitely stop back in when I'm in town.

We stopped in while on a road trip- and found a real gem. Highly recommend the blueberry pancakes that are served with jalapeño sausage. Staff was so welcoming and attentive. I will certainly go back and recommend to my friends. read more

Made it a point to visit locally owned establishments while in town for the Old Town Rig Down. There about about a 30 minute wait, which was not an issue. They called me when the table was ready. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I had the chili fries and a mushroom Swiss burger. The fries were on the crispy side. Just the way I like them. The chili was excellent and I'm not a huge chili eater. I will definitely return and highly recommend! read more

If you are in the area, this is a must stop! We were meeting family and had brunch last Sunday. I will warn you, be prepared to wait for a table, but it's worth the wait! I didn't see anyone with an unhappy face in the place. I had chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, DH had meat omelette, home fries and bacon. The kids pancakes look like a certain mouse we all love! The burgers and onion rings look delicious! I told DH we should have stayed foe another meal!! Ever was so friendly too! A definite must if you are in area!! read more

This is kind of the go-to hometown diner for Nac. We've eaten here on many occasions for breakfast/brunch. The place is always packed and usually a 15-20 minute wait. It's not a large interior so large parties should call ahead. The customer service is always spot on, attentive and warm. It's a divvy little place with mis-matched mugs and a throwback theme. Today I'm really bummed about the food. I'm debating if it was post-holiday daze or a clean out the leftovers day. My scrambled eggs were really dry and choppy. Some over medium eggs, fried and hard that had to be sent back. The biscuits - hard, dense and dry even with lots of butter. Bacon was chewy and cold (undercooked before sitting in dish waiting to be served). The home fries need a little bandaiding when you get them - butter, salt, pepper, hot sauce, ketchup - something. My kid finds their pancakes spot on. I find them bisquick-tasting. They have the blueberry pancakes with blueberry sausage year round. We've been here since June and always see it as a special up front. The have 3 breakfast specials with a coffee for $5.99. Great, cheap deals. It's the most consistent in town, so give them a shot. read more

Apparently they maybe have new owners? We're originally from NAC and haven't been back in awhile but no "Dolli" in sight. Someone said they sold it. Anyway, We have been here for about 45 minutes. Maybe three or four tables were taken at the time that we got here. Our order was taking it and turn it in. Several people came in after us and we're so good. Four table since we came in and have been given their food and we are still waiting. Would definitely go somewhere else. read more

We are from Buffalo, NY and this is our first go to when we get into town. Not anymore. We had the worst experience for breakfast this morning. Both my husband's and mine breakfast was COLD. Food was not cooked correctly and my gravy and biscuits tasted spoiled. Our waitress was wonderful and had our meals redone. My husband ate some but not me. I figured it would still taste spoiled. The dog got it. My husband said he's done with that restaurant because it has gone downhill very fast. read more

Stopped in yesterday while visiting town. Saw this place had good reviews and tried it out. Had very high hopes. Place was clean and wait staff was nice. Both the person and I was with got the meatloaf dinner which came with 2 pieces of meatloaf, veggies (green beans and carrots) and mash potatoes. It was awful! The worst meatloaf I have ever had. It tasted like eating a sour sponge! Not even sure if it was real meat. The veggies were also spongey and very bland. No seasoning at all. And the Mash potatoes were obviously instant with store bought package gravy. You could tell this is not made from scratch food. The whole plate tasted like it had sat out over night to be heated up in the microwave. I hope they take this off their menu! Very disappointed. Yuck! read more

Wow, where to begin. I am traveling with my student council group for a leadership camp. We've stopped here to have lunch for our first day and may I say this is wonderful. We (group of 13) were seated immediately, given excellent service, and even better food. I had the Tex-Mex Burger with onion rings. The burger is pretty big, but so is everything in Texas. It was kind of hard to eat because it was so big, so I had to cut that bad boy in half. Onion rings: thick. Fried to perfection. Everyone was very patient and kind. Mucho appreciated. read more

We had breakfast here on Sunday, and even with 6 guests only waited about 5-10 minutes. There is not a lot of space to wait inside so we waited in the little park across the street. The host will come out and shout your name when the table is ready. We had a variety of breakfast dishes including the lumberjack, Migas and the trucker. Everything was fresh, hot and cooked really well. The home fries were everyone's favorite but the flapjacks were a strong second. The prices for breakfast dishes were basically $8.99 to $12.99 for a full meal along with several sides you could order separately. I did not feel hungry again until the next morning and I had not even finished all the food! The service was also good-she never hovered but checked 1-2 items to make sure we didn't need anything. The only thing I didn't notice was them refilling coffee very often. Great place, great food. read more

Great atmosphere in the historic town square area. Fast, friendly service. My wife noticed that every server who was leaving the restaurant for the day gave the owner a hug. She seems to be truly loved by those who work for her. (late day lunch while passing through around shift change time) We both had burgers with onion rings and they were great. Well dressed with fresh produce and a perfectly fried egg (on mine). If I'm ever hungry while passing through again, I'll definitely stop here. read more

My daughter and I visiting SFA and I did a little research where to eat. Dolli's came up and looked great to try. We got there right at noon so it was busy and we waited about 15 minutes. I asked our waitress what she suggested from the breakfast and lunch menus. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger and for me the rueben with onion rings. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was very sweet. Not sure when we will be back but if you are in the area try it! read more

Food was good but I got ripped on the price of my plate! Omelet was cooked well but charged 5.75 to add jalapeños to omelet. Price was 9,00 for ham & cheese omelet. Was charged 13.00 for a create your own and all I did was add jalapeños. Then I was charged additional .75 for jalapeños and 1.00 for cheese which was listed as part of the create your own. read more

White visiting my son who attends University here, he brought us to Dolly's for breakfast. Dolly's has the most delicious southern home cooking I've tasted in a good while. The coffee is delicious. I am a coffee fanatic so I know coffee! The biscuits and gravy is one of my favorites. It's our go to breakfast diner every single visit to Nac. Definitely worth the long wait. Atmosphere is okay here, a bit loud when busy but that is due to size. Location is great. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good, the blu cheese is not for me. Surprised salad came with spring mix instead of iceberg lettuce, but the bacon bites were over powering and salty Cheeseburger looked nasty, comes on sweet buns which are good. Patty was thinner then you'd expect, sides looked a bit more cooked then liked. Country breakfast was good, the skillet potato's were good. read more

Great place to eat with a fun atmosphere. I have only ever eaten breakfast here so not 100% sure about lunch but going by the experience that I have had thus far I can't imagine it being bad. Great waitstaff and the food is always down home awesome. read more

We were here for brunch. I had the burrito. I recommend having the chili on the side as it was more of a salsa and quite spicy. Great flavor but a little goes a long way Husband enjoyed his Reuben. Not a fan of our server. Great at keeping my tea glass filled in the beginning. Had my meal and needed more to drink after the chili. He poured a half a glass of tea and no ice. Seriously ?? I asked for one to go. Would probably try a different place on our next trip read more

The fries were on the skinny side, but fresh, perfectly cooked and well seasoned, and the Cole Slaw was tasty--that little nod to eating my vegetables. But, oh, the Texas toast, that carb bomb of margarine-laden white bread I love nearly as much as I love my mother! The restaurant, housed in an old railway Depot building is cool and creaky, and pleasantly full of weird vintage stuff like old bicycles and prosthetic legs, wonderfully pure Texas kitsch. Won't be back for many reasons including all 4 of us getting sick! I normally wouldn't even post a review but it was that bad! Got there at 6:45 (an hour and 15 minutes before closing). We were ready to order and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. First she didn't have her order pad, when she finally came back she was looking under other tables then went outside looking around. When she came back in I asked if we could order and she said someone lost their keys. None of the other employees were looking. She finally came back to the table and we all 4 ordered burgers. There were 2 other tables already occupied when we got there and all the rest of the chairs were stacked on the tables. As soon as the people at the other tables left those chairs were put up too. They were mopping the seating area before we were finished. It definitely was not a welcoming environment. My son went to the mens room and there was a sign on the door to knock because the lock doesn't work. He came back to the table and said it was too nasty to use it anyway. My husband asked for coffee at 6:30 and was told that it had been emptied. Overall terrible meal that we are all still feeling the next day but I won't give details since anyone reading this is probably about to eat and can guess what was wrong anyway. read more

Walked over 1 mile to try this place out. Keep in mind that it's about 90 degrees at the moment. In the summer, in Texas lol. Decided to order the chicken fried chicken with vegetables and replaced the mashed potatoes with home style fries. Food came out promptly and hot. For desert, I tried the homemade peach cobbler and ice cream. Definitely hit the spot. There was a lady who was sitting next to me and asked if I was ok. And did I need anymore of the sweet tea. Turns out to be Dolli, the owner of the place. She was so nice and sweet and so was my waitress.
