Dolli's is great! I went there and had breakfast with a work associate, and the service and food could not have been any better! 3 Omelette (Bacon, cheddar cheese, spinach& Mushroom) was perfect! It came with potatoes and a biscuit . The Trucker had 3 meats (Bacon, Sausage & Ham) along with eggs, potatoes and toast. I'm not sure you would go wrong ordering anything here, it all looks good. It's not often I get a chance to visit Nacogdoches, Texas but when I do, I will certainly go back to Dolli's. Check out the pictures/Paintings on the wall! Very colorful and makes the place! The food was delicious. I got the create your own omelette with extra cheese and bacon. I will say, though if I were to go here again, I probably would get a different type of cheese rather than American. Also, I might just get the French toast. I tried it from my mom's sandwich, which was some sort of French toast sandwich with egg and ham in between and I have to say the French toast is pretty good. The waiters were kind and the whole restaurant just felt very nostalgic feeling, sort of like a 50s café.

We are from out of town and saw Dollis Diner on Yelp. I thought we would give jt a try. I'm glad we did. It's our 3rd time coming here, and we are looking forward to coming more before we leave. The food is great, and the price is reasonable, and their specials are great. The service is super, very friendly and on top on our orders and anything we needed. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been in the area on bidness a good bit and this is the first recommendation I received from a local that I actually wanted to check out since it was not a fast casual chain closer to the college that was going to be mobbed with college students trying to get a quick bite between games of Beirut or whatever college students do these days. It is next door to City Hall and the firehouse, in ye olde town square. There is a lot of free parking nearby, but since this passes for the high density city centre other people are also coming here, not just you. The first time I attempted to do lunch here there was no parking available among all of that free parking and I even circled the blocks for a while until I finally just went back to the hotel and tried another day. So another day I came back and there was parking available. If at first you don't succeed ... When I first walked in I liked that they had appropriate signage in front that you needed to wait to be seated. Without appropriate signage it is just anarchy. As I was getting seated I saw trash all over the floor underneath some tables along the left wall and those tables looked dirty. When I got seated in the center aisle, my table was a bit sticky, but at least not covered in trash up above or down below. So I suppose that is some of the charm of this joint, if not also the Betty Boop tchotchkes everywhere. The server was a pleasant, attentive young man. I waited what seemed a good long while for my salad. The Cobb salad at $10 was fairly priced with reasonably fresh ingredients. The chicken was bland but it is a salad that you have ordered from a diner with a sticky tabletop so everything about the ambiance and the numerous Betty Books glaring at you should tell you that most people do not mosey on in here and order a salad, everyone else and their mother are getting the pancakes or other things you slather with a bunch of syrup, just like that Three Six Mafia tune. However, this soyboy charts his own path and wanted a salad, presumably the one non-sticky entree ever devoured upon this table. The location in town cannot be beat. The servers are friendly and accommodating. If you are a fan of the Bob's Burgers teevee programme you have heard of a greasy spoon type of place before, well this is a sticky tabletop type of place so your mileage may vary if you order anything that does not need syrup on it. For a salad in this area from a local joint, rather than something out of the various fast foods dotting the area around the SFA campus down the road, you could not do better than here. Things I wished someone explained to me: why all the Betty Boops up in here. The place is called Dolli, not Betty. I need someone to explain this to me because I have an active imagination and I assume the truth is much more interesting than anything I could come up with.

Dolli's Diner is located on the square in Downtown Nac. We were told we had a 20-25 minute wait, but our table was ready in less than 20 minutes. It was hard to choose between breakfast or lunch, but Hubby and I settled on lunch. I had the Rueben and Hubby the burger. The Rueben was fantastic, and Hubby said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had. Service was friendly and the prices are great value. It is clear to see why Dolli's is a local favorite!

I was passing through and had a craving for good diner food. I found Dolli's and even though there was a wait for a table I decided the menu looked good enough to stick it out. I was not disappointed! The waitress, Zea, was very attentive despite the busy lunch hour and kept my coffee topped off. I ordered migas and a biscuit and the whole meal was absolutely perfect and just what I needed to give me energy for my long drive home. Would definitely stop back in when I'm in town.

The food was fresh and hot, it came so quickly. Our server, Evie, was friendly and patient when taking our order. We got drinks quickly and food came not too long after our drinks. I got the Frisco burger and it was delicious. My husband got the Duke burger and he said it was a really good burger as well. We would love to come back and try the famous breakfast one day soon! read more

This is my second visit. The first visit was for breakfast. Great service, great food and clean environment! So, I decided to return on my next visit to Nacogdoches. This visit was for lunch. It was a Sunday at 11:45am. I only waited 10 minutes for a table. The owners husbsnd was our greeter and super friendly! Our waitress was attentive and nice. I love the sweet tea! Its perfect! I had the cheeseburger and onion rings. My, my, my! That was a good burger made with real meat and on a sweet bun! Very good! The onion rings were really good too! Finally, I had the pumpkin cheesecake and oh my, it was delicious! I will definitely return when I am back in town! read more

Absolutely fantastic. Went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning . Was very busy , however, the three of us were sat immediately . Our waitress was Gwen. She was AWESOME !. She is very friendly and attentive . We can't say enough positives about her ! Our food arrived in a very timely manner, especially with how busy they were. Our food was hot and delicious! We never had to ask for a refill on our coffee , as Gwen had us topped off . When back in Nacogdoches, we will be dining at Dolli's again !! read more

We ate brunch here with my wife, two kids and mother and father-in-law and they were able to reorganize the tables to accommodate us. Let me say just driving around the area near the diner was cool because of the brick roads and old time shops around. I had their smother breakfast burrito with gravy and it was perfect. Wrapped right, not too greasy like some other places and the coffee tasted great. The waitress was super helpful in suggesting things for our kids who wanted waffles but weren't on the kids menu so we built their meals. The atmosphere is super clean, cool paintings by a local artist on the wall too. Enjoy a nice walk around the town that will take you back to the 1950's and earlier. read more

There on a Sunday morning and had about a 45 min wait. So glad we waited! Such a quaint, cozy and fun vibe inside. Love that the coffee mugs are random ones picked up from a garage sale (my guess). Food prices were cheapest I've seen (esp being from Dallas) and the breakfast we had was just delicious! Our server was adorable and so nice. Definitely with a stop if you're in the area. read more

We had breakfast at Dolli's Diner a couple of days ago while we were in Nac. The blueberry pancakes were fantastic!!! I don't recommend the ham- it's the Jenny-o processed type. My wife had a blt and liked it. Would have given 5 stars if the ham had been better. Good coffee and great service. read more

I love the interior/theme they have going on. The prices and the amount of food they serve you isn't bad either. We came here the day after the blueberry festival so they still had blueberry specials. The blueberry pancakes they were serving the day of the festival were no match for the ones they were serving here. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a seating to be available but it wasn't too long before we were seated and our orders were taken. read more

We attended this restaurant by chance after the SFA Plant sale. We did not get on the list early so we waited about 30 minutes or so. Once in ordered and received our meals( breakfast) it was on. Totally delicious blueberry pancakes. Perfect omelettes portion size definitely comfortable. Can't say enough good things in my opinion. I will stop by if ever I'm back in SFA area. If you're Nacogdoches and looking for a great lunch (or breakfast) this is your place. Breakfast served all day. Friendly staff and Dolli's makes the rounds do make sure you're doing ok. The Duke burger was fabulous, the sweet sourdough bread making it a great blend of flavors. The breakfast items we tried were good and we will definitely be back to try more of the menu! read more

A very cute place with great service and good food in the heart of historic downtown Nacogdoches. We stopped in for lunch and a shake - the shakes are made with ice cream, and boy can you tell!! The vanilla shake had real bits of vanilla bean in it and the chocolate shake was delicious! 5 star shakes - they are great. That's good because the iced tea here is AWFUL -- we were told that they had changed ice tea brands. Summers' coming - PLEASE change back! 1 star on the tea. The meat in the burgers was well seasoned and generously portioned. But the meat was served on giant cold tough bready buns that were a disaster. The buns had obviously. Even grilled on a flat top - so we are confused as to how they could have even so hard and cold, unless they were pregrilled? We scooted the meat off the bun and ate our burgers with a knife and fork, leaving the bread behind. 5 star meat 1 star bun Fries are frozen crinkle cuts out of the bag, and the onion rings were greasy, but not bad. 3 stars Service was excellent - our waitress was attentive, efficient, polite, and engaging. 5 stars on service. :) The decor is cute and funky, a fun place to be. And everything was clean - 5 stars on atmosphere and cleanliness. We really want to give Dolli's 5 stars overall - but an otherwise delicious hamburger served in a cold hard grilled bun that was wayyyy too big and horrible iced tea? In Texas? We cannot overlook those issues . 3 hit and miss stars read more

Our food was delicious. I ate a BLT, my husband ate a club sandwich, my daughter had a bacon breakfast burrito, and my son had a bacon cheese burger. The crinkle fries are full of flavor and were so hard to stop eating even though we were so full. read more

I don't eat much of a meat when I'm home. So when I travel I'm always on the lookout for a good burger or chicken fry steak. Finding Dolly's on a recent trip to Houston was an answered prayer. The chicken fried steak was excellent. Large portions, crispy breading and tender steak! Service was friendly and prompt. If your looking for a good meal you won't go wrong with Dolly's. read more

Yikes! The reviews were so good and the food was awful! What a disappointment! They had a special for breakfast and lunch and we ordered both, the breakfast special was just a regular egg.bacon-toast and potatoes type breakfast, the only thing edible was the toast! The bacon was so hard my husband could not even chew it! The chicken pesto pasta special was horrible, the chicken was not cooked within a week of me eating it! It was old cold strips of chicken with zero taste and very chewy ( like the overcooked bacon) the pasta had been cooked on a different day and re-heated in the microwave! They served an uncooked roll with it, set on the edge of the plate where it soaked up tons of grease from the pesto! The whole meal was God Awful! !!!! read more

Stopped for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Place was packed! Service was excellent, food was good, but some of it came out cold. This is forgivable considering how busy they were (we came right as they opened and the place was immediately full upon unlocking the doors). The server made things right. I will definitely go back, just not at opening time! read more

Top Line: Picked up a Blue Horse fudge bacon brownie $6 at Brendyn's BBQ yesterday along with a meal, saving the brownie as a treat for today. So returned to Brendyn's this afternoon to get tea for eating the brownie. Brownie is seriously heavy!! Very, very moist beneath the layer of baby chocolate chips and extraordinarily tender of crumb. Too much so I found. The block of chocolate cake-like brownie crumbled into pieces as I tried to pick it up. I finally resorted to pinching off small wads of it to pop into my mouth. While being very moist with oil density, the flavor profile was about on par with a supermarket bakery brownie. Plenty of chocolate taste, but minimal (if any) bacon smokiness shining through. Fudge's buttery brown sugar sweetness or cream's richness were likewise AWOL. So I'd say this was a decent $2.50 brownie. But nowhere near justifying the $6 ticket price I paid to get it, in spite of its moistness. If I'm in the neighborhood of Blue Horse's sticks 'n bricks location I may hit them up for a cupcake or some such to see how that flies. But no more brownies from them for me.

Won't be back for many reasons including all 4 of us getting sick! I normally wouldn't even post a review but it was that bad! Got there at 6:45 (an hour and 15 minutes before closing). We were ready to order and it took 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. First she didn't have her order pad, when she finally came back she was looking under other tables then went outside looking around. When she came back in I asked if we could order and she said someone lost their keys. None of the other employees were looking. She finally came back to the table and we all 4 ordered burgers. There were 2 other tables already occupied when we got there and all the rest of the chairs were stacked on the tables. As soon as the people at the other tables left those chairs were put up too. They were mopping the seating area before we were finished. It definitely was not a welcoming environment. My son went to the mens room and there was a sign on the door to knock because the lock doesn't work. He came back to the table and said it was too nasty to use it anyway. My husband asked for coffee at 6:30 and was told that it had been emptied. Overall terrible meal that we are all still feeling the next day but I won't give details since anyone reading this is probably about to eat and can guess what was wrong anyway. read more

Walked over 1 mile to try this place out. Keep in mind that it's about 90 degrees at the moment. In the summer, in Texas lol. Decided to order the chicken fried chicken with vegetables and replaced the mashed potatoes with home style fries. Food came out promptly and hot. For desert, I tried the homemade peach cobbler and ice cream. Definitely hit the spot. There was a lady who was sitting next to me and asked if I was ok. And did I need anymore of the sweet tea. Turns out to be Dolli, the owner of the place. She was so nice and sweet and so was my waitress.
