All TIME WORST SERVICE they will ignore you until you give up the refund. I think this company is deceiving its customers. I paid for the upgraded shipping and didn't receive the product within the timeframe, and when I complained about it, they said they would refund the shipping fee if it didn't get delivered by that evening. The package didn't arrive by that evening and I immediately notified them. Then they removed the phrase "Delivery in 2-4 Days" from their website and refused to refund the shipping fee. I couldn't wear it for Halloween because I didn't receive it in the time frame they stated. Is this company reliable? This store feels more like a nightclub than a store. Up in the rafters you'll find a DJ, a wall of Demonia shoes that rivals the size of my ego when I put on clothes from Dolls Kill. There are some really unique pieces that you'll struggle to find in other stores. It's clear however, that they don't have plus size bodies in mind. Went to the sample sale here with my gf and it was absolute CHAOS. Bins and bins and bins of mixed clothes in total disarray--things were labeled, but any adherence to that labeling system was long forgotten by the time I got there. I've been to a few sample sales and I'm used to some level of disarray, but I haven't quite seen one as disorganized as this one. Shirts were all piled into cardboard boxes and finding anything required you to stand over a heaping pile and go through articles one by one looking for something you might like in your size. A lot of people participate in sample sales because they enjoy the manic nature of it all, and boy did Dolls Kill embrace it. It was like going to a sample sale in a Blade movie. read more

ALL of that is true, but then Dolls Kill goes and delivers a product that is consistently BETTER than it seems on the site, and the customer service goes WAY BEYOND a sufficient resolution to order issues. No nightmare struggle to explain returns, they just DO IT. Now to narrow down and get into specifics. This is my go to for everything retro 90s. Bellbottoms, platform shoes, cute bags, fantastic costume jewelry, and (for the bat obsessed) bats bats bats!! Also a big vegan shout out to the well labeled "man-made/vegan" ingredients on everything. I buy a lot of pairs of "date shoes" from DollsKill that satisfy my shoe fetish AND garner compliments from strangers because the pleather is GORGEOUS, and the vegan suede is SO COOL. Full disclosure, I'm vegan-edge so I instantly filter out the leather dominatrix / nightlife / party girl stuff first thing, however it's worth mentioning that Dolls Kill has an impressive variety of lingerie, swimwear, club attire, and sexy wear, admittedly for lifestyles different from my own and folks younger than my self. Last thing, although plenty of the models are conventionally attractive, skinny and young, I appreciate the abundance of plus size models, atypical body types, and other non traditional models present on the site. I'm just really amazed at how AWESOME the Customer Service is that I regret returning the Cabin Kisses Hot Pink Robe I bought and wish I could buy it back. I came to the store yesterday where I was looking for some gift for my girlfriend since she loves this brand. One of the managers I believe named Penny helped me out not only in suggestions for my gf but also she was like like on top of her shit & going above and beyond. Felt very taken care of leaving the store. At first I never thought I'd go to the store without my gf but this place is cool! And the manager and her employees has been by far one of the best customer services I have had in a minute. Again props to the manager because whoever she is. How exactly do you do that outside of business hours? There is no way within 6 hours my package was being shipped, they are just useless to help. THIS STORE STOLE OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM ME: I had an order for over a thousand dollars. I accidentally placed it twice. I realized quickly after the second order was placed that it was a mistake. I reached out to cancel it, they said "they don't do cancellations." I waited for the very large shipment and returned it in store here in LA. They said "we don't do refunds, just store credit." I pushed back and they said "You can ask customer service for a refund." I then got two emails shortly after leaving the store with "store credit" that said "use the code to use your store credit." (It was two returns). One email, for the 45 dollar return had the code. The second, which was 1200+ dollars, had no code. I reached out via email three times asking for a refund before getting a response that said "You got the return store credit code!" and they proceeded to give me the code for the 45 dollar order that I already had. Absolutely nothing about the large order. No info, no refund, and no code. When I finally DID hear back, the "supervisor" Austin was rude and said "he will make an exception to their policy but charge a 15% restocking fee." And then said that the code I got included the over $1000 in store credit... it didn't. Of course. I tested it. And wouldn't you know?! It only covered the 45 dollars. Horrific customer service is an understatement. Their phone doesn't ring, it just beeps and hangs up. This isn't the first time they've done something like this. Their ethics financially seem to align with their other moral issues they've been called out for many times in the past. I now have to call my bank and get the charges removed because they are prone to stealing. If you have to get something here, don't bother trying to get refunds or returns. ridiculous. Really want to love this place. They could be amazing if they were run with some shred of ethics. read more

I love this place. It started with Halloween costumes but now I get my club and festival gear here as well. I'm able to purchase online but pick up in store and immediately try things before taking them home. Everyone is helpful and in a good mood and it's a fun club atmosphere. This store is a mess and the customer service is just completely awful. I ordered for pick up which said online it would be ready the next day and I've now gone 3 times on 3 different days (driving an hour from my house each time) and every time they tell me the order has not even been shipped yet, regardless of me having emails saying otherwise. The "manager" was rude to me on multiple occasions, the first day I had just walked in and I asked her where to go for pick up and she said "ITS OVER THERE I SAID THAT THREE TIMES ALEADY" (I had literally just walked in and obviously wasn't there when she said it before) and the next time I saw her she told me it was my fault that I didn't have my order yet because I should've ordered my clothes a month in advance like everyone else. She's a nasty person and should not be in charge. Also don't even bother calling them their phone doesn't work. It's the day before Halloween and I will not be getting my costume in time despite ordering it a week earlier and I can say goodbye to the $300 I spent for it! Because apparently they don't do refunds either. Brunette cashier=bully :( ADVICE AND DIRECTIONS for those coming to pick up an order- don't ask the employees any questions LOL. Here's the layout: online pickup area is at the back-left, the fitting rooms at the back-center, and cash register at the back-right. You can try on your online order in the fitting rooms, and complete any returns (for store credit unfortunately) at the cash register on the same day! Also there is no parking lot, but metered parking along the street. Be prepared to walk a couple blocks. Here's what happened: I don't normally write reviews but I had a terrible experience with my in-store pickup which left me feeling very sad and embarrassed... After receiving my box, I asked to try on my items and was told to go to the fitting room. I asked the woman (dark-haired white-passing/Hispanic(?)) at the front desk where to go. She saw that I was struggling to carry my box, and told me that the fitting rooms were upstairs... I didn't catch that she was poking fun at me, so I went upstairs and was super confused and flustered. Needless to say I asked around and a different employee sent me to the right place. Another male employee was much kinder and complimented a lot of the stuff I was trying on/deciding to keep. It wasn't until I walked past the desk on my way out that I saw the cashier smirking at me, and realized she gave me the wrong directions on purpose. To clarify, I very genuinely do not think I did anything to bring this on. I was dressed normally and was friendly when I approached the desk... It was just close to closing hours, there were a lot of people in the store, and the cashier was just 'over it' by the time I asked her where the fitting rooms were (and yes, maybe it was a dumb question considering the rooms are right by the register, but I don't think I deserved to be tricked). Items lost, doesn't come on time, won't replace and can't return Halloween items. This is my first time ordering

I had a few great interactions with their customer service. Years ago I ordered few things and had to ship back some. I never tracked it back, just forgot about it. And then, really long time after I wanted to order something for my daughter from them and remembered about the return I made. I thought it's probably lost, cuz I have zero record of it. But I gave it a try and called their customer service. They found my return by my email address and resent me my gift card. I was able to shop with that credit! Recently I was shopping with them again for Christmas for my kids and had to send back some things and I change sizes. Their return/exchange system is so easy and convenient! Just select on their website what you want to return and what to exchange, print shipping label for free and drop at any UPS. As soon as you drop it off, you get email with your store credit. Super convenient. Got all my exchanges before Christmas. And one top still didn't fit my daughter and she decided she doesn't want to keep it. I got busy and didn't return it on time. Then stopped by the store when was in Hollywood and they still took it (as an exception, but with no problems). I just love everything about them. I have been shopping at Dolls Kill for about 3 years. They had a shop in San Francisco which was cool. Die to the pandemic, they closed the SF store, and I started ordering online. The whole online practice was fine, with no problems, until May of 2022. Their method of dealing with returns and exchanges changed. In June of 2022 I returned a pair of boots and 4 tops in the same box but not the same package. It is now three weeks later, and I have not received a credit for having returned the tips. This would never have happened before. And, I ordered several items (maybe 7) from a site wide sale. I paid d for the items and was waiting for the order to arrive. I found an email in my inbox from Dolls Kill that they refunded what I paid for those items snd that they would not be sending the orderI paid for. So, for almost 2 weeks I have been waiting for an email regarding the credit and the email informing them that they are engaging in illegal business practices, No response. I've tried to cal and text them with no response. This business is shady and entitled. Do not engage in any business dealings with Dills Kill. Boycott them!! read more
