Outside of the pit in the plaza area, sometimes I like to go to Monkey Pants, but it is a small shop, but they have cute trinkets and sometimes character mascots have meet and greet events, Catch on the 3rd floor, Neko Stop, Maneki Neko, Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle, the Sanrio store, Nijiya for quick drinks or snacks, Yamazaki bakery for the meat buns, Mitsuru Cafe for super cheap dango and takoyaki, and sometimes they have cool collab decoration and events throughout this location. It definitely gets crowded and busy here, the parking garage can get quite fisted, so it's not somewhere I park normally, but I will definitely visit.

I placed a next day pick up order for costumes, and received an email that my order had been for fulfilled. I drove in an hour and a half of traffic to get to the store, only to have to wait in the line for 30 minutes to be told that my order was still on the truck and probably wouldn't be offloaded until the end of the day. I work tonight and tomorrow I needed a costume for Sunday, so I have no way of coming back down here to pick it up later or tomorrow. They also had a pair of rollerskates in store that were marked on sale on their website, and the only way to get the sale price is to order them online and then come back the following day to pick them up. Even if they have them in the store, they won't price match their website or allow you to do same-day pick up. I basically did three hours of driving for nothing and I still don't have my order. There is no way to call or text the store either, the only way to talk to them as through email. Horrible experience, I'll never shop here again. read more

DO NOT buy from Dolls Kill unless you want to literally throw your money in the trash. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen, marked-up prices for horrifically low-quality products, and their return policy is not only dishonest-but completely lacks transparency. Store credit? For what? Might as well just develop a gambling addiction and bet your life savings & assets on the god damn ponies-that's how hard Dolls Kill will fuck you over. I'd go as far as to say that this company is a total SCAM designed to steal your money by luring you in with trendy clothes that are just as short-lived as the trends themselves. I'm all for conscious consumerism and being informed, but with the level of deception operating at every level here... I really love Dollskill LA! They have had some reputation issues online in the past but, while an apology might still be desired for a couple gaffes on behalf of the pr team, their customer service more than makes up for their mistakes and shows you the brand does care about their customers and making fashion fun and accessible. The manager Caroline is an absolute DOLL who seems to always be around the store and willing to go above and beyond to make sure guests leave the store satisfied. Caroline has recognized me by face and name as a customer and treated me as a friend, from small talk to handling any issues with my orders placed online and shipped to store. The team in the LA store, notable mention to Aldo and Yaremy, does a great job of holding parties, launch events and making guests feel welcome and assisted overall. read more

If only this store was around during my high school years! This was my fourth time visiting the store and honestly if I didn't live an hour away I would find myself here once a month. This time I decided to bring my sister to shop with me as it is her birthday this weekend and I wanted to buy her a pair of shoes to her liking. We had such a great time shopping and due to the great variety in shoes it was not so easy, however fortunately we were assisted by Steven who was so helpful and patient in bringing us various different styles to try on. First time shopping inside the store, did not know what to expect but upon entering i found myself completely in love with everything the store had to offer from its wide selection in clothing and shoes to how great everything was displayed all around the store. I came in looking for a pair of platform boots for my friend whose a size 11 in mens. Steven was super helpful and said that the biggest size they carry in store is an 11 in women sizes but that the sizing ranges and perhaps they'd fit. He was so generous that he even tried the shoes on that I was interested in as he too is a size 11. Bought a Halloween costume from them, it came damaged, the hem was uneven and it did not lay flat. Tried to return it, they would only give me store credit. I explained that I have never shopped there before, (& I never would again, not my style. Just shopped there for Halloween) & I wanted a refund to my original payment method, not store credit. They agreed, and I was happy about it until I realized that I was going to be losing $14 if I returned the item. It's a restocking fee, I get it, but come on. The item was damaged and unusable, I doubt they'll be able to restock it unless they sell damaged items knowingly (unlikely) Waste of time and money. I will never shop here again(: read more

I recently bought a bag from Dolls Kill, and it was a complete letdown. The inside had grey hairs and oil stains, giving the impression that rodents had been inside. The outside had visible blemishes too. Customer service was a nightmare--I was bounced between departments and finally offered only a 30% gift card for the bag's price. When I insisted on a refund or a clean replacement, they just provided a return label, adding unnecessary inconvenience. I won't be buying from Dolls Kill again and will be blocking them on social media. Their quality assurance and customer service knowledge are severely lacking. read more

Yo-- 5 stars bc I'm blessed to finally have a dk store in LA. I'm legit going to change my address to 415 Fairfax bc I live there now. This store is amazing, and groundbreaking for the women of Fairfax. Supreme ain't got shit on this store. I go to so many events and dk always always always has something for me. Clean store, reasonably priced, all my favorite brands. Not to mention the staff is badass!! Gabby Ferraresso & Katie Nally stole my heart. Came into the store on Monday looking for the perfect first pair of demonias as I have always wanted some. Was very happy with the variety that was available in store. Steven was very helpful in bringing out multiple styles and sizes due to my sizing being a half size, and the store only sells full size styles. I ended up going with the size higher as he also mentioned that with an insole the sizing gap would be reduced and it would even make them much more comfortable throughout the day. Visiting from Argentina and going to this store in person has been on my bucket list for the longest. Shopped here last Wednesday and ended up being there for a good 3 hours. They had such great clothing and music that the time just flew by. Steven was extremely patient ringing me up at register as I continued to ask if it was okay to do one last stroll around the store. He even helped me carry some bags to the uber as I had purchased so many things to take back home. Aside from being racist and stealing merchandise from other companies (like my friends boot shop in England you slap your DK stickers on) their in house products are absolutely shit. If you want DHGate boots marked up by 300% that have NO returns despite the fact that they WILL fall apart WITHIN DAYS then go ahead waste your money. Also- if you want poor quality STOLEN designs in general, at a super high price, with a store that displays blatant racism, antisemitism, necrophilia, and is ACAB- then go for gold BOOT LICKERS, just remember they'll fall apart before you wear them. read more

Avoid shopping with this company at all costs. They don't offer refunds! Even when paying with a debit card, their only option is to receive a gift card to the store. This tactic is designed to encourage you to make another purchase, even if you're dissatisfied with the poor quality of the merchandise. Their customer service is nonexistent. This store has such a cool reggae and Y2K vibe -- the whole aesthetic is honestly amazing. The music, clothes, and atmosphere make it feel super unique and chill. On top of that, all the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were patient, helpful, and made the shopping experience even better. You can really tell they care about their customers and the energy of the store. Definitely one of the nicest shops I've visited recently. Absolutely love shopping at Dolls Kill on Melrose. The store aesthetic is insane and the selection is even better in person than online. Every time I go in, the staff is super friendly, helpful, and actually lets you explore your style without judgment. They always have unique pieces you can't really find anywhere else, from edgy streetwear to festival outfits and accessories. The energy in the store is fun, creative, and very LA. Came into the store today to return a pair of oxford shoes that I had bought for my niece for her birthday. She is growing up so fast and the shoes I got fit her just tight, so I thought it'd be best to get her a size bigger. When i got to the pickup window, i was helped out by Steven and he let me know that they had just received their shipment about 30 mins before i got there and that her order was amongst those.
