I came here for the breakfast burrito but it was surprisingly not my favorite... come for the chocolate chip cookie because it might be the best in nyc. Even though they cannot warm it up, the texture is still perfect - crisp on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside with the chocolate chunks melted to the amount and a generous sprinkle of sea salt. The breakfast burrito was quite frankly... really disappointing. Other than the tortilla which was nicely toasted, the egg was a bit overcooked, the chorizo was a bit too much and not soft enough, and the I really wish they used crispy hash browns instead of potato chunks. The potato chunks felt a bit off and did not taste too good in the burrito. Right now, it's take out only with a couple of benches to sit outside. Wait time for a burrito is around 15 min.
My friend and I came here after a workout class, and there were a bunch of people waiting outside. The space inside was tiny (as the general storefront area was closed) and only the bakery area was open. My friend ordered the ube mochi, the breakfast burrito and a cappuccino. I ordered the ceremonia cookie, the avocado toast and a chai latte. We got our drinks relatively quickly, and had to wait a little bit for our food, but we were able to snag two small stools outside while we waited. My friend really enjoyed her breakfast burrito, and I thought my avocado toast was really flavorful. Our drinks were also really good, and the pastries (both the cookie and mochi) were divine. I'd definitely come back here again to try more items!
Came here on a chilly November Sunday and got the chorizo breakfast burrito and baked goods. The inside is small with just a long window bench for seating and outside there chairs but no tables. We waited probably ~30 min for our breakfast burritos. The breakfast burrito was good but it wasn't anything life changing. Loved the green salsa that came with it. We also got the sea salt chocolate chip cookie, pandan coconut mochi (fav), ube black sesame mochi (couldn't really taste the ube or sesame but seemed like there was ginger?), sausage roll, bacon & jalapeno cornbread and cheddar & chive biscuit (HUGE). Everything was good but once again, wasn't mind blowing. This is a very solid bakery for some classic items with an Asian twist.
Why 5 stars? Because the strawberry butter mochi was one of the best things I ate in New York. --- --- --- After eating lunch nearby, I wanted an afternoon pick-me-up in the form of some coffee. I chose Cermonia Bakeshop because they appeared to have some tasty treats too, and I'm so glad I did. Coffee wise, I got an Americano and it was very typical. But the dessert case is what stole my heart. I had just eaten a cookie at lunch, but I couldn't pass on trying at least one thing from this glorious glass case of sugary heaven. I chose the strawberry butter mochi and just could not believe how much I loved it. If I could eat this thing every day for the rest of my life, I would be a better person for it. They had so many great options here, and I'm sure I would have enjoyed many of them, but this thing was unreal. A muffin with a big glob of mochi inside? That's my kind of party.
Good breakfast burrito! I got it with avocado instead of chorizo. The salsa is a must, but still very flavorful on its own with the right balance of egg, potato, and cheese. I'd recommend ordering ahead because it does take about 15 min to make and there's nowhere to sit inside. On a warm day, they have outdoor seating. I really want to try the pastries. I do feel like Ursula has the better breakfast burrito, but this one was very yummy and good for a meal in a pinch.
I love a good breakfast burrito, and Ceremonia does it so well. The line was long when we went on a Saturday late morning, but the wait was worth it. Almost everyone there ordered a breakfast burrito. The burrito comes with chorizo, potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheese, and scallions. We added avocado which made it extra creamy. Each bite was full of flavors and the cheesy goodness. They also had a bunch of unique pastries and desserts, and we tried the ube coconut mochi. It was chewy, fragrant, and not-too-sweet, making it perfect as a palate cleanser after the filling burritos. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the pastries!
One of the best bakeries in Williamsburg! Their display case has a variety of pastries including loaves, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and butter mochi. Their citrus olive oil loaf is my absolute favorite. They also have breakfast burritos and sandwiches. On the weekends there may be a line but the wait isn't too bad. The shop is currently quite small and they only have stools outside for seating (no tables). They are about to expand into the space next door though, which I'm very excited about!
Burrito was good. But definitely not best in the city. I would say the tortilla is similar to like Chipotle nothing special. Could def have used more flavor and crisp. I'm not sure I'm a super big fan of chorizo it seems kind of tomatoey and chili like which I don't love but it grew on me as I ate it. The avocado was good to cut the heaviness. I didn't really like the potatoes in the burrito tho. They weren't crispy nor soggy enough to be mushy. They were this weird in between and lacked flavor. The sauce was also okay but not great not very spicy. Also tried the pandas coconut mochi which was good. But I didn't LOVE the texture of the outside as it was super crunchy and kind of hard to eat. The inside of the mochi was stretchy and chewy and soft though. Coconut was much more soft and flavorful than the ube. Which just had a slight hint of ube flavor. The chocolate chip cookie was atrociously mid. Super oily and there was something I didn't like about the flavor. Sea salt and chocolate pieces were good though.
I saw this place on TikTok (yes, it's where I do all my research these days haha). I pre-ordered their giant cinnamon roll ("big ass roll") via Instagram DM and it was really easy. You have to order 2 days in advance and you pay online as well. I asked for the latest pick up (3pm) since I ordered it for a friend's birthday dinner and he loves cinnamon rolls. I don't really eat cinnamon rolls but I trust TikTok. The cinnamon roll was legit huge and it's even prettier in person. He liked it and he probably has eaten all the cinnamon rolls in NYC. I definitely recommend getting the giant cinnamon roll as opposed to a traditional birthday cake! I have to come back and try their mochi, heard it's excellent as well!
One of my favorite breakfast burritos! It comes out within 10 min and it's perfect. Most burritos tend to leak but this one stayed intact and had a flavorful bite each time. Of course the pastries are the highlight of this bakeshop. The chocolate chip cookie and the olive oil citrus cake are definitely my favorites. They also have delicious coffee here! The cappuccino pairs well with any and all of their pastries.
I popped in after a class for a bite. Of course I wanted to try to the chorizo burrito. I was glad to find non caffeinated drink options - hibiscus iced tea hit the spot. The chorizo burrito came with a salsa verde on the side. It was very hearty and dense and on the dry side so I tried to pour some salsa on it. To my surprise the sauce came out all in one piece in the shape of the container lol. I carefully put it back in the container and went to find a stirrer to mix it up - that's a weird ass salsa. Overall very filling but not the best burrito. Hard potatoes, bland chorizo, it was aiite. For dessert I got cute little matcha cake with raspberry icing and freeze dried berries on top. It was moist, ultra soft and had a great balance of flavors. I'm a fan! Wish there was more mochi buns left but looks like they sell out quick. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here but if I take the same class again, I'd definitely pop back in for a pastry. Oh and almost forgot. What really tanked the experience was an associate there. The person at the register was lovely but there was a girl there that talked insanely loud and she criticized the customers she's dealt with. Just constant negative talk which if that's you, do it at home or with friends on your own time. But you're at work! Instead wipe down the tables or something.. literally all the little tables were dirty with crumbs on them. And just generally it felt untidy with boxes stacked up. Not pleasant to eat in that environment.

So we got a couple baked goods to hold us over while we waited. There was a lot to choose from so we ordered the banana bread, cinnamon roll and pandan butter mochi. The banana bread was so moist and fluffy! The butter mochi was our favorite out of the bunch. So chewy and lightly sweet. Once the burrito and biscuit sandwich were ready we headed out to find a spot to eat since the inside is too crowded. The burrito lives up to the hype! Packed with flavor and the ingredients all work together. It was a bit spicy for me, so be cautious if your spice tolerance is low. The biscuit was so flaky and the sandwich had a perfectly cooked, runny egg. We were so stuffed after eating everything. We'll definitely be back to try more butter mochi and other baked goods!
This is my second time visiting after a year. First visit, I had a stroller with me and there was a giant step! Although the pastries were delicious, it didn't make sense for me at the time. My husband one year later stumbled upon a reel of their chorizo burrito and was motivated to go. I was surprised that they renovated and it is soo much bigger and more accessible. The bathroom also has a changing station. Chorizo burrito was about a 15 min wait at 10am and I'd say that wasn't too bad compared to the amount of ppl who came in after us. As we waited, we munched on a ube black sesame mochi butter muffin. Tasty and chewy, a bit tough on the edges but overall not too sweet. We shifted our attention to the domino table and played a short game with our little one, and it was great! Once the burrito was ready, we chowed down and it was delicious. You have the option of adding or subbing it with avocado. The green sauce also gave it an extra kick that makes it super satisfying. So much flavor and ingredients packed into this one burrito. Love the change. I'll definitely be swinging by more often. Props to you all! read more
This is a very well-rounded bakery, starting off with the Breakfast Burrito, their most hyped-up item. I thought it was extremely good. The first time I had it, it blew me away, but as I returned, I've been less impressed. I feel like an improvement they can make is adding different textural elements. I think something crunchy inside would really take it to the next level. Overall, it does have great flavor, and it's definitely worth trying, but I do think there are better ones in the city. Their chocolate chip cookie is also really solid. One thing that I think is a miss is their ube mochi muffin. It was a little dry and a little bland, so I think you can skip that one on your visit. The line can be long, but they move it as efficiently as possible. The staff is very friendly, and I do like their outdoor seating options on a nice day. read more
I don't think that's possible about this place more. I just had it for the first time a couple weeks ago and my experience was excellent. It's the tiniest little big shop with the most amazing breakfast burrito burritos. There's a lot of chairs set up outside so definitely better to come during the warmer months. However, it was worth it to bear the cold for this burrito. We came at opening and it was already wait, but we only waited about 15 minutes. The burrito itself is quite massive and definitely one to be shared. We got the add-on with avocado, which is a must. The burrito was very flavorful with a lots of different fillings - potatoes, chorizo, egg, and cheese. I also can't forget that this is a bakery after all, so we also ordered some baked goods. All of their butter mochis have an excellent texture and strong flavor. I'm only sad that I missed out on their signature pandan but I'm happy that I was able to try their ube. The s'mores brownie was everything I had hoped for and more. It had all the works - actual pieces of graham cracker, ooey gooey marshmallow, and a rich chocolatey brownie. read more

I heard so much about this place on IG and I really wanted to try their breakfast burrito and baked goods. I arrived 1:20pm on a Saturday and was afraid there would be a long line and things would be sold out. But thankfully, there was only a few ppl in line. The line was not out the door and it moved very quickly. There were a few people waiting for their orders as well. They had on display all their flavors for mochi muffins and cookies, etc. My bf and I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito (+avocado), a pandan and coconut mochi muffin, a churro mochi muffin, and a lavender earl grey cookie. After ordering, the cashier said it would take 25min, but the burrito came out in 10min! Breakfast burrito was jam packed with chorizo, roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, scallions, avocado and house made fire roasted tomatillo salsa. I hate when burritos fall apart when I eat it, but the flour tortilla on this burrito was strong and held everything together so well! If you want it cut in half, you need to request it at the cashier! The mochi muffins had great texture and flavor, and the lavender earl grey cookie was good, but I wouldn't get it again. I would try a different cookie next time. read more
As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the smell of chorizo on the pan and these breakfast burritos being made. How can you not get it? It's an amazing breakfast burrito. The way they fill this burrito generously, it's enough for two meals. I came back one weekend just to get their cookies and mochi again. Lots of Asian flavors incorporated into their pastries that are fun to eat, like ube and coconut pandan. The cookies are that perfect size and texture I think all cookies should be: soft and buttery in the middle with just enough sweetness. Ceremonia cookie is a good sugar cookie with sprinkles (visually fun). The lavender earl grey is currently my favorite. For the mochi, the pandan coconut has the crispy top and delicious crust that contrasts beautifully with the soft give of the mochi inside. Every time I walk in, I'm thrilled with the limitless feeling from seeing these neat and plentiful stacks of all their creations. read more
A ton of various pastries and items that all look so great! The pandan and coconut mochi was delicious, maybe if there was an option to heat it up, it'd be better. The chorizo burrito was also quite good, it's quite busy during the mornings so anticipate about 20-30 minute wait if you're gonna get a burrito. Besides it being busy, which is great for them...I do think some of the prices for the pastries are a b it overpriced but everything was pretty good, even my iced chai. read more

In my opinion the best cinnamon roll in NYC it was outstanding! I went for the breakfast burrito but the cinnamon roll wowed me! Burrito was fantastic too and for a Saturday there was no line and took only about 10/15 minutes for it to be ready. Definitely recommend absolutely worth the hype read more
The service at this place is excellent. Everyone is nice and welcoming. The store itself is quite small and only has enough seats for a few guests. I ordered the breakfast burrito which they are very well known for online. I definitely feel like this place was overhyped due to the TikTok craze. Overall, the breakfast burrito was good although it comes with a hefty price tag of $19 if you add avocado for an additional $2. I do feel like the avocado is essential to balance out the rich fatty flavors of chorizo. I'm definitely not running back to this place, but I would get it again if I find myself in the mood. read more

This place is such a gem! I tried the biscuit with chives and Cheddar and it was absolutely delicious flaky, flavorful, and so fresh. The coffee was equally amazing, perfectly brewed and smooth. The vibes here are fantastic, bright, welcoming, and you can enjoy your treats at the outdoor seating area. They don't have a bathroom, but honestly, the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. Everything in the display case looks incredible, and if it's as good as what I tried, you really can't go wrong. If you love great coffee and baked goods, you have to come and try this place! The service is amazing as well!! read more

Been wanting to try this place for a while now. Happy I came during the week so I didn't really have to wait in line. My breakfast burrito and iced latte came out pretty quickly. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie. The breakfast burrito with the green sauce was one of the best I've ever had. It is quite large and very easily shared. The chocolate chip cookie was good as well. I loved the sprinkle of salt on top. Would definitely come back here again for the breakfast burrito and to try the other delicious looking pastries. This place is very very limited seating inside and a few tables outside. They are expanding though. read more

The store employees Wednesday noon never called my name when I was waiting patiently for my DoorDash pickup order. I followed the instructions, showed my screen to the cashier, she says it's not ready yet, and I say ok I'll have a seat. I wait there for twenty minutes, while many other customers are getting their orders and making small talk with the staff. Finally I stand up to ask for a status check. Lo and behold, my sandwich is in a bag underneath where it had been sitting forever. I say "you couldn't have told me sooner?" and the cashier just lies and says "I tried to find you!", which was not true at all. I was sitting patiently right in front of the espresso machine waiting for my name to be called, which never happened. I'd still be sitting there right now if I didn't take the initiative to ask. This store doesn't respect customers' time. Sandwich was cold and soggy. They've let their success get to their heads. Never ordering from here or visiting ever again. read more

Very quick service and easy to get your hands on this viral burrito! The burrito was huge and definitely more than enough for two people. It was good, however, not too different from other breakfast burritos I've had. The best item was the churro mochi muffin, which had an amazing texture and nice crunch from the cinnamon sugar read more

Ceremonia Bakeshop alwaysss hits the spot! I get the hype around the breakfast burrito it's incredible. The tomato and cream cheese danish was also unreal. The staff is so lovely and get everything out as quickly as possible! I'm excited for them to expand and can't wait to see what that looks like. read more
Was craving a solid bite and heard how good the burritos were. I ordered one biscuit sub avocado and one burrito sub avocado. The biscuit (5/5): might be my favorite biscuit sandwich?? The fixins were delicious, especially the tomato jam. I will 100% be back for this. The burrito (3.5/5): amazing portion-wise, but I have a suspicious the missing chorizo would have pushed this number higher. The veggie version needed more salt or something comparable to replacing the chorizo. Vibe was nice, there were a couple of tables outside. read more

Very, very slow service--especially on weekends, since the place is super popular. Heads up: we ordered a burrito and waited about 30 minutes. There's barely any seating, so you're better off ordering, taking a walk, and coming back. That said, the chai was incredible--probably my new favorite in NYC. read more
If you're like me and are born and raised in SoCal, you fully understand why I only trust my own people to make a true life changing breakfast burrito and how hard it is to find a bangin one on the east coast. If you're not like me and are from anywhere else in the US, you will probably think I am being dramatic and/or pretentious... but get to Ceremonia Bakeshop and get this Chorizo breakfast burrito, and you'll see what I'm talmbout. It will all make sense. The Mexicans do it differently and that's just facts. It's a family run operation with the owners being from SoCal and originally intended to just run a bakery. However, after being unable to find a good California breakfast burrito in NYC they just made one ahahahaha that's so beast. True entrepeneurial spirit, they saw a gap in the market and BOY did they fill. This burrito($14.75) is a beautiful amalgamation of Chorizo, or "the Zo" as Socal natives call it-- jk we don't call it that haha but I might try to get that trending. As I was saying, it's a fusion of the zo, eggs, potatoes, cheddar cheese and scallions all brought together by a flour tortilla, with a side of house made salsa. We F'd up and came at primetime on a Sunday and were met with a brutal line that ended up taking about an hour to get our Zo burritos blessed by the breakfast burrito gods themselves, but it was so worth it. While in line, you get to see the curtain peeled back. They start with the chorizo in one pan, then dump the eggs in so that they fuse, and become one with the zo. In another pan they are lightly cooking 4 wrapped burritos at a time, to heat up the tortillas and give them that perfect little crisp. Upon my first bite, I was transported straight back to a beach in San Diego with my elite breakfast burrito in hand to battle off an impending hangover. SD has better Mexican food than LA but they hate to talk about that... After my bite, I looked over to my roommate, who is a Mexican food connoisseur, for confirmation that what I was eating was real. He let out a "Bro what the f**k........this is one of the best burritos I've ever had..." And this man is PICKY with his Mexican food. Also, $14.75 is SO reasonable for this behemoth. I came to Ceremonia Bakeshop close to 11am on a Saturday. While I was first in line to order, there were lots of people out front eating and waiting for their food inside on the two benches. With that in mind, I had to wait nearly 20 minutes for my chorizo breakfast burrito. To be completely honest, I'm not the biggest breakfast burrito person but I had heard so many great things about the burrito here that I had to try it. At $17 post-tax, I felt it was too expensive. That said, it was definitely flavorful and filling. I'm not sure I would come back for the breakfast burrito again but the pastries looked phenomenal and I plan to come back for them very soon. read more
Came all the way out here and waited in line to get their famous breakfast burrito. I got it without avocado because reviews I read said it didn't add as much as it cost. Overall the breakfast burrito was pretty good. It's definitely necessary to have it with the salsa though. There is no change in texture otherwise and all the ingredients kind of lump together. You're taking a bite of just mush. Aside from the mouthfeel I also couldn't pick out all the different ingredients. It was good but to me wasn't worth the hike. read more

After reading about Ceremonia Bakeshop and seeing how many lists it is on, I knew I had to try it one day. Came on a weekday around lunch time. There wasn't a line inside, but it seemed that they were getting a lot of online orders, so there was still a wait for the food. The chorizo breakfast burrito was good, but it didn't hit for me or satisfy my craving. Tortilla was good. I loved that they grilled it. Eggs were fluffy. Chorizo was okay. I wanted a little more greasiness to it. Potatoes could've been cooked down just a little more as they were a little hard. I also got some big chunks in there, so they could've been chopped smaller. Salsa that they give is a must. Gives a brightness to the overall dense burrito. Ube and sesame butter mochi was so good. The top gives you a punch of sesame. Such a nice crispy outside and a soft chewy interior. Ube was strong in flavor. The baked goods and the unique flavors looked all so good. I would've gotten more if I could eat more. read more

Cruising into 2025 around the corner and this is still my go to spot for so many items, including my beloved chorizo burrito. Always routing for this place and the adorable family that runs it. Here's to more success in the new year. read more

Only really visited for the burrito and was truly disappointed. As a native texan, this burrito does not have hype but the salsa helps out in flavor a TON. As a baker these pastries were GORGEOUS. Love the variety and different options with great flavors! Not worth visiting again for a $15 burrito. read more
