A complete unprofessional nightmare with this Sales person who has worked for the company for 10+ years. His name Rick and is a store manager (Davie/Plantation area). He brought scraps of laminate to my house as a presentation of what he is trying to sell me. He measures three rooms in less than five minutes. So you know how accurate you can be when you don't take time to do a job. I even verbally provided him with the sq footage that I have had measured from another contractor and the property diagram. If I could show you how he measured the rooms there would be no way he would be accurate. He did not care one bit if it was accurate. I asked him for a breakdown of the estimate and he tried to get out of giving me a breakdown until I insisted. His first estimate verbal, his second estimate was emailed after two times asking for the information. I countered his estimate then he accepted the counter over email, then he responded again over email once again and took back his acceptance of the offer and told me the email "suddenly appeared in a different color"... his exact words. (I have the email). I filed a complaint, his regional director Paul basically told me to go fly a kite and to dam bad. I have reported their fraudulent behavior and deception. I am glad I can see right through deception. They get no rating and will be investigated. Please put a negative star rating for this company. read more

This was the worse experience I have ever had with a business. Ordered carpet toward the end of the week and was told it would be installed on Monday. I said to make sure because I had to take a day off without pay. They said we could not give you an exact time but it would be sometime during that day. Monday cane and no one showed up. Called and they stayed you were somehow missed on the schedule to my disbelief. I lost 15 hours of pay that day and all they said we apologies. Did nothing to compensate me and when I ask if I could speak to Mr. Katz I was told that was not going to happen. Carpet removed was a better quality the the one installed. Very happy with the services. We decided to go with the porcelain wood look tile and shopped around, getting several quotes. Dolphin Carpet was competitively priced and had exactly what we were looking for. Ron assisted us in locating a company to remove the old parquet wood floors (almost $1.00 cheaper per square foot of what we were quoted elsewhere) and arranged for the contractor to come in for the installation of the new floors. While I looked around for laminate flooring, he was available to answer all my questions without being pushy or overly selling the flooring. I was provided with a free estimate and was pleased to find out that the cost was significantly lower than other estimates I received. When I questioned the laminate color, Pele was patient and took his time while helping me with my decision. On installation day my old carpet was quickly removed and new laminate floors completely transformed my condo. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. I recently replaced my carpet for the first time with DC & T following a very disappointing experience attempting to get an estimate through a national home improvement chain. As this was the first step in my home remodeling project, and with my in-law's soon to be arriving to stay from Puerto Rico, I was a bit apprehensive about the whole process. Annette and the staff at DC & T put my worries to rest immediately. From the moment my partner & I walked into her store, she was attentive and explained all of our carpeting options. I am always pleased to support a local business, and prefer that to larger chains-and this is the main reason. Bigger companies often lose perspective when it comes to customer service, but not DC & T. Annette did the carpet measurements herself and provided a very detailed estimate not only on pricing, but on what to expect on the day of install. When the install day arrived, as hoped, everything went smoothly. The gentleman who completed the install were very courteous, answered any questions I had, and completed the job in record time! From start to finish, everything about this experience was amazing and we plan to use them for our next flooring project which will likely be tile or laminate replacement. DON"T!!!!! The salesmen are really trained to sell, and our salesman was really nice. But the installers skip corners and the finish work is terrible. They covered nail holes in some areas, others (in obvious places) left unfilled. When I asked about it, they told me that's the way its supposed to be. We were told our job would be finished in 1 day (4 small bedrooms)... it took 3 days because they showed up at noon and left at 4 (we were told they'd be here at 9am). Customer service is terrible!!! When I showed the head guy some of the areas of concern, he screamed at me that that's the way it's supposed to be, refused to give me his name or a card, and told his guys to leave. DON"T USE DOLPHIN!!!! Terrible customer service! read more

The first thing that should have kept me out of the store was the fact that they are constantly advertising on tv and every day is a SALE. We ordered two rooms of carpet and the manager of the store (Ken) wrote up the bill without itemizing the carpet or the yardage--mistake on my part for not checking it. No one can decipher what was purchased by reading the purchase order. The carpet installers expected a tip. Carpet has since started "rolling" in one of the rooms and needs to be stretched. Dolphin Tile and Carpet really let us down,.. They installed the worst laminate florring in 3 rooms of our home. After only 4 months the laminate has gaps, chips, and is uneven. Even when we pointed out the flaws they insisted that the floor was as good as it gets. What everyone should know is that Dolphin Tile and Carpet will knowingly sell you junk flooring and not do a thing about it. They clearly are not one bit concerned about repeat business or word of mouth. read more

My review is not about service that I purchased, but rather a complaint against the demo crew and installers at my neighboring villa, ( same foundation, similar to a townhouse or condo situation). Their jack hammers shook my house so much that it cracked my tile and broke a ceiling light fixture. Homeowner was not on property so I tried to plead with 2 workman on the job to stop the hammering as they were damaging my residence. One could speak no English and the other was very limited in his English. They both laughed at me when I told them my concerns sand continued to do their damage. I Eventually contacted the homeowner and she told me the "crew" informed her it was a separate foundation, not true, so it was impossible to have damage done. I threatened the homeowner with my attorney contacting her about the situation and 4 hours later an English speaking rep for the company came to my door, no ID, wanting to come in and "inspect" the damage. I don't let anyone in my home without proper credentials! These people hire illegal aliens to do demo work and try to skirt around that issue if you threaten them with an attorney. Find another company, they are bad business people! read more

What a great experience! Walking into your Davie store cold and was introduced to Rick the Store Manager. Rick was more than professional and knowledgeable and he did not try to "sell" - but rather let me tell him what I was interested in. He offered to come to my home the very next day to measure and give me an estimate. At 10 am the next morning (Sunday) he was there, measured, brought samples and within a short time I had ordered my carpet. Six days later my carpet was delivered by the best installers ever! They were so professional and did everything and more than expected. Even vacuumed and put every piece of furniture back in place, with care and consideration. I am so happy with my carpet. two adults, no kids, no pets. bought carpet for 5 rooms. master bedroom carpet most used showed a wear pattern 6 months after purchase. Expensive padding is matted down. Dolphin said to have it cleaned and that would solve the problem! Carpet wasn't dirty, showing a wear pattern. Had inspector come out. Said I had "cornrows"? Nothing that can be done. The warranty does not cover corn rows, which I have asked other carpet companies and they say no such issue and even a salesman at Dolphin said that term was a term used in the 50's referring to high pile carpet. In contact with corporate, the person in charge was arragant and could care less. The carpet is now showing after a year horrible. In good faith the company show replace it. Don't waste your money buy somewhere else. If I had reviewed the internet before I went to them I would never have gone there. read more
