From the Sales Associate at their Pinecrest location, Robert C. was very professional and answered all our questions about the newest Mohawk "Waterproof Laminate", RevWood Premier. The order process was seamless, with help from Jeff Stephens, who's estimate of the correct square footage area was 100% spot on. Dolphin's Installation Manager, Liz Lorenzo who coordinated the Installation Team headed by Miguel Angel who did the work in our home in Islamorada (Keys). Liz kept us informed of the entire installation process with the proper information and answered all our many questions without blinking an eye. Finally, thanking the 4-man installation team headed by Miguel Angel, who arrived on time, were neatly dressed and were ready to work. Initially we were hesitant to think that they could complete the entire job in a single day, but we were incorrect. The installer removed over 1200 sq ft of LV Tile, installed two barrier sheets (Moisture & Sound), installed all the new RevWood planks including thresholds and step downs, cleaned up and were gone by 5 PM. Amazing quick and skilled crew of installers. Our overall experience with the entire Dolphin organization was 100% perfect. Very informative and learned a whole lot about the flooring process. Store had a ton samples and made the buying process easy.

This is my second favorite tile store after Tiles R Us. The prices are good here and there's plenty of choices and variety. I totally ignored the carpet section since I don't care much for them. The con about this place though is that if you want an installer to install your tiles, you have to buy their tiles. They won't even sell you installation supplies without buying their tiles. I guess it may be a common practice in major tile stores across the country, but not in most tiles stores in Miami - at least not the ones I've checked. But then again, most references to an installer in tile stores in Miami were to independent contractors. As for supplies, the ones at The Tile Store were still a bit cheaper, but not by much. So if you see tiles that you want here for a good price, you can get an overall good deal with this store. read more

We trusted Carpet & Tile as they have been in business for many years and were expecting a certain level of professionalism from the sales rep Guido Cardozo. Besides selling us a carpet that did not match the rest of our office, when we asked for the mistake to be corrected it was not handled as promptly. as a matter or fact we are still waiting for them to replace the carpet since August 6th. Worst customer service ever. Walked in. Asked for sisal or Seagrass. The two dozen Latin men they have working the floor couldn't be bothered, then claimed they don't carry Seagrass or sisal (which of course is OPPOSITE of their own website). Totally disgusting inside. Could barely walk in or out of front door cause all the half opened merchandise crowding the floor. Terrible selection- unless you like cheap yellowish beige tile and fake marble. Almost impossible to navigate thru the crowded Doral streets full of construction to ever get here. Worst use of my time. Just gross. From the selection, to the staff, to the commute, to the storefront. Ignore those ads and go to Home Depot. read more

Make sure to order the correct amount of tile - no returns - no exceptions, management will not work with you at all if you order too much by mistake, even if it's still in the box and even if it's immediately after the purchase was made. I want to share with anyone shopping around for flooring about my great experience at the Dolphin Carpet and Tile Store in Doral (Palmetto and 36). I got there and as soon as I got into the store I was greeted by the sales person Ivan Salazar. I explained to him what I had in mind and my budget. Fortunately I was given a crash course on flooring where I finally was able to understand what I was getting into. This was the only place (I visited 6 other flooring showrooms) that really took their time to give me a complete explanation of the product, quality, different prices, options, ideas etc. At Dolphin Carpet and Tile I was able to find the best service, quality flooring and the most competitive pricing bar none! Two days later my floor was professionally installed and it looks amazing. DO NOT use this company; they never completed installing my laminate flooring -- the Davie salesman - KEN measured incorrectly and their installer was supposed to come back the next day (after we paid in full, of course). It's been three weeks and I keep getting the run around; they kept promising to come out on a certain date to finish it, and I never heard from them. It's going to cost me to hire someone to fiinish their improperly measured job. read more

went in for carpet for our new apt. We were quoted a price and then we asked for an estimate, the salesman said ok give me a $2,000.00 deposit, I said what........ then he said ok I will charge you $150.00, which you have to pay cash and when you purchase the carpet, I will credit you. Against my better judgement I said ok, (I had seen the Dolphin truck in our apartment building). Well to make a long story short, he first included the padding in the price as I had asked, now he tells me that it is separate, maybe I misunderstood. Then he said I will do the ramps for the $150.00 you gave me, I said no, I want $150.00 shown as a credit, then he sent me a hand written sales order, again I said no, I want an official sales order with $150.00 credit and the charges for the ramps. After all this ... I did not feel right with this salesman. I did not purchase the carpet and lost $150.00. Next time I will trust my better judgement.....Ivan S. is not the salesman for me. read more

One star because of the Customer Service. Ivan Salazar was "helping" us but frankly he did not care. We went looking for remnants for a small bedroom. He had a bad attitude the whole time and talked to us like if we were stupid. Anyways we ended up purchasing the carpet. A month later we went back looking for another piece of remnant for another bedroom. Surely enough he was the only representative there. We didnt find anything we really liked so we told him we were going to check out the other Dolphin & Tile in Miramar (30 minutes away) for remnants. Ivan was like okay go. I highly doubt he didnt know that the Miramar location didnt have remnants they were just store front.. But we drove all the way there to find out they had no remnants. We were frustrated but the nice gentleman in the Miramar location sent us to Don Bailey which overall I am super happy we ended up there. Long story short Ivans horrible customer service skills was a blessing in disguise because it lead us a place where they do care about their customers no matter how little or big the project.. Bad installation, they cut the carpet in many areas because they said they didn't have pieces big enough but never warned us of this in advance when they came to measure. One of the rooms was small so it really didn't make sense to not have just 1 piece of carpet but they clearly had just measured it wrong. Lots of bubbles were left in the carpet but I don't know if this was due to the concrete floor being uneven or the carpet installation but you would've thought that if it was the concrete they would've informed us so we could've fixed it but now we have all of these uneven areas of the floor. Just seemed like another lazy Hialeah installation. read more
