The name of the company I spoke with: Tv installation professionals The name on the CC charge: 99install I called and setup an appointment, they charged my card like $35 for a "deposit" for some reason. On the day of the appointment they called and said their driver had slid off the road? During a completely dry week. Kinda weird. We re-scheduled. On the 2nd day of the appointment the driver no-call no-showed. So we set up a 3rd appointment between 5 and 6:30 pm and our credit card was charged around 5:30 for the FULL amount that I NEVER GAVE AUTHORIZATION TO CHARGE(I gave them permission to charge for the deposit but never once gave them permission to charge my card on the day of service). Driver once again no-call no-showed. So our installer never even showed up but they charged our card the full amount. Sure enough, I start going on Google and there is absolutely nothing positive about this sham of a company. Completely bogus. Criminals and thieves. So I call my bank and do that whole thing, then I call the "company" a few times to make sure I get a refund and am not charged a cancellation fee. I think the 3rd time I called that night they answered under a completely different name "Handyman services" or "Handyman install" or Handyman something. So I said "Oh so you guys are going by Handyman now?" then the person on the phone(guy with an Asian accent) raised his voice to me and told me to "STOP CALLING." and hung up on me. I called one more time and asked "I just want confirmation on the last 4 digits of the card you are going to refund." and the guy said "OK I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD AND BLOCK YOUR NUMBER NOW." Had these guys come and mount my tv on wall. Technician was on time Courteus and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend them for anyone that is looking for this service. Was reasonably priced too. read more

Stay away from this company as they are dishonest. Once they got my credit card number they charged me close to $500 on it without my consent or knowledge after performing work that was supposed to be billed at $220 as advertised on their website and confirmed to me by phone. They are refusing to refund the difference saying there are hidden charges they didn't tell me about I had one TV mounted on my wall. No company charges $500 for that. The manager was rude, inconsiderate and unreasonable. I may have to take them to court to get my money back although I have disputed it with my credit card company. I have never encountered a business as unscrupulous as this one. The installer was great but the company is dishonest and sleezy. This is a national company even though it is based in Califronia. Company is a fraud. Requested 2 tv installs with power bridge set up and, with cords to be hidden in walls. Two guys showed up, installed one tv, that was not centered, "because the studs weren't evenly placed." Come to find out, during the second install, the guys didnt even have a stud finder. Neither of them knew I wanted the wires tucked behind the wall, knew how (besides suggesting a larger drill bit, and neither of them had heard of a power bridge. read more

I called "Dolphin Install" to install a 55" TV above my fireplace. Kelly the customer service agent was very friendly and knowledgeable. Then, John the installer was fantastic. I'm very happy with the results and would recommend them. I did see bad reviews on Yelp for Los Angeles County. It leads me to believe people are not taking the time to share their GOOD experiences. Maybe Orange County, CA is different than Los Angeles, CA. (Ha-Ha)! read more

Please beware of this company! They are nefariously dishonest and extremely rude! Thomas sent someone to my house to add a camera and it turned into a nightmare. The guy's car broke down and they never called and told me about it. Andrew (the installer) finally arrived a couple hour late and said that he told them as soon as it happened and didn't understand why they didn't tell me. He offered to upgrade the install and hide the wires for free to compensate for being so late. Once he finally tried to hook up the camera, he saw that the equipment didn't work. He also accidentally tore up my wall during the process. I called the company and they spoke to me like crap and didn't offer anything but was willing to charge me approximately $800 for a different DVR or more for a converter. Andrew told me that he called Dolphin and would try to work things out. Andrew apologized and came back and started to fix the damage that he created and collected some money as a deposit to pick up some more equipment needed to fix the problem. Unfortunately he never came back and so I called the company to have someone come out to fix the drywall. I told them that I wanted my deposit back and wanted everything back like it was. The original guy that set up my appointment named Thomas said that he would have a manager or the finance department call me back. I pleaded for him to call me back asap. They NEVER called me back! It wasn't until I called and spoke to Kelly (a lady that Felix described as the manager) that Thomas called me back himself revealing that he was the head manager. Thomas went on to yell at me stating that this sort of thing happens all the time. He accused us of doing side deals and verbally slammed his own installer. He advised me to call the police on him. He said that I should have never given him any money directly. He then said that they aren't responsible for anything that he did because they fired him that same day for rescheduling another job. I explained that he was at my home as a representative of Dolphin Install so I felt that it was reasonable to have them fix any damage that was caused. He went on to say that they didn't agree to the free upgrade that he gave me so it's my fault because he wasn't planning to do anything extra for me despite my troubles with their company. I definitely felt that this manager was heartless, inconsiderate and unreasonable. It's not worth taking them to court to get justice because they are bottom feeders and are barely in business. They penny pinch and treat their own employees like crap. I have never encountered a business as heartless as this one. I hope Andrew comes back to fix the wall because Dolphin Install doesn't care about their customers or stand behind their services. They completely threw Andrew "under the bus" and wanted me to put him in jail. This is a very dishonorable business! The facts are: They don't give you much information about their company; They don't care about their customers; They won't let you speak to the owner or tell you who is really in charge; and They have changed their name several times due to bad reviews and complaints. I wanted to make my first Yelp review on this company. I read the reviews for them and saw some good and some bad. I called around and they were the fastest and most reasonable priced tv mounters I found. So I decided to use their company. I needed a 65 inch tv mounted in our den and we wanted an articulating mount. The lady I spoke with recommended against the mount I had and explained why. I got upset at first cause they asked me to sign a waiver. After googling it to see if was a true, sure enough it was. I bought the mount they recommended and called them back. They were able to get it done for me the next day. The installer they had was courteous and was informative. I asked how he would hide my wires. He explained how and I ended up hiding my wires. He installed it in no time flat. Checked the level several times and vacuumed the area. Very professional. Im not sure what these other reviews had done to their homes. But my experience with them was very good. read more

Everything went great with these guys. Installer showed up on time and had our TV hooked up,mounted on the wall and working within an hour. Hung the TV where we wanted it and made sure we were happy with it before he left. read more

This company is a joke! I called on 10-27 to schedule an appointment for mounting my TV. The rep was nice and got me scheduled. I paid a $50 deposit and was told the remaining balance of $250 would be charged to my card when the work was completed. fair enough! My appointment was scheduled for 10-30 between 5-7 pm. I get a call on the 29th and the rep said my installer had been a car wreck and they would need to reschedule to 11-2 between 5-7 pm, ok no problem. On 11-2 About 6:45 no one has shown up or called, so I called and basically said I just want to check in and make sure someone is still coming? The rep said no worries let me call the installer and I will call you back. Around 7:30 still no one has shown up or called me. I called back, this time a different rep answered. He was very rude and dismissive. He said they did not have an installer available but he would give me 10% discount, I said no that's ok, just refund my money. He hung up on me after I told him to refund the money. I was going to just let it go for the night and call the next day, but I went and looked at my bank account info and they had already charged the $250 remaining balance even though no one came out and did the work... Now I'm pissed, I call back and ask why they would charge the $250 when no one ever showed up? It was the same rep that I had just talked to. He said that's there policy blah blah blah. I asked for a supervisor, he said no one was available. He then said they could not return my money because they had sent out a thing to me to hide the cords when they do the install. He said I cant get my money back until I return that box. So now I am more pissed. I told him he can keep the $50 deposit until I return the merchandise at my own expense, but some one better return that $250 ASAP. I dropped the F Bomb when relaying my message to the rep. The rep went crazy on me, which I can understand, I shouldn't have dropped the FBomb. He started right back at me. Ok whatever, I kind of asked for it by cussing first I guess.. The part that really got me was when he told me to "suck his D, faxxot". I am not exaggerating at all about what he said. I don't mind getting cussed at I am a big boy, but to call me a faxxot was a lil much in my humble opinion. They say the calls are recorded for quality assurance, I hope my call comes up in training.
