New UPDATE: Employee Grace, allegedly from their CEO's…read moreoffice, sent me an aggressive, threatening email . Apparently Clark's policy is to bully and harass customers who complain about their abysmal return times, shoe prices, and the unprofessional communications generated by their outsourced employees whose English is sketchy at best. This company should be avoided at all costs. Their shoes aren't worth the price and you will be threatened if you complain. UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY AND HORRID EMPLOYEES. NEVER AGAIN! $$$$ Expensive. Too expensive for this company to outsource customer service to third world countries. I bought a pair of shoes on December 26, 2025. Too narrow. Clark's changed their sizing. Sent shoes back for the correct size. As of January 26, 2026 I'm still waiting for the correct size. UPS label created, and I'm still waiting. NOW the same shoe is far less expensive than what I paid. Smells like FRAUD. Will I ever purchase from Clark's again? NEVER! Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware. SCAMMERS !!!

As I've lost weight, my shoe size is different now and I'm not sure which size is going to fit. He didn't mind looking for the smaller sizes to get the right fit. I ended up getting beautiful cognac color boots which I absolutely love. It's part of the Collection line shoes which makes me feel very comfortable. This is a great store and definitely great customer service!

J&M clothes & shoes are high quality, and their service is great. Unfortunately, their inventory is…read moreabysmal. I'm a 5'10", 175lb man--the epitome of average sized. But for some reason I'm a small in their clothes. Strange, but fine...if they want to target larger men, whatever. What's not fine though is the fact that they don't carry smalls in-store, and for reasons surpassing understanding, produce an irrationally minor number of small items in their production runs. Case in point: I saw a jacket on sale a couple of years ago that I loved, but the smalls were sold out. TWO YEARS later they come back in stock and partner buys one for me in medium (because I'm a medium EVERYWHERE else). I call to exchange it today and they're sold out of smalls, again, with no plans to produce more. I'm done trying to find J&M stuff in my VERY AVERAGE size, it's not worth the hassle.

When I walked in to this (very) small store, I was promptly greeted by a very friendly young man. I told him I was in need of dress shirts and pants. They have shirts but then I got "we don't sell pants." Ummm...okay. Weird but it is what it is. He was quite helpful as I browsed and asked questions. I was able to find items I liked (and needed) as well as some I liked but didn't really need ;-)

Since I don't have a car, I walk A LOT. I have bad knees, so I walk everywhere in sneakers. And I…read morehave wide feet, so finding said sneakers can be tough. I went into Champs out of convenience, since I go through DTX on my commute. A salesgirl asked me if I needed help, and I told her I was looking for wide sneakers. Of course, they didn't have any, but there were a couple styles that looked like they had a wide toebox, so I asked to try them on. The salesgirl brought out a pair and without asking, replaced the sockliner with a special insole. Had she asked, I would have told her that I have very high arches and can't use insoles in most shoes. But she didn't. And when I put the shoe on I was really confused until I figured out her switch. Since I didn't want the insoles, she started telling me about the most amazing socks in the world, that she loves (and wasn't wearing). Oh, and the shoe protector. You have to have the shoe protector to keep those sneakers clean. I decided to buy the sneakers and a couple pairs of socks, but the salesgirl looked horrified that I wasn't getting the protector. "You know, the netting will get all dirty and you can't get it clean, right?" she said. When I replied that they were for my commute and I didn't care her face was a mix of confused and grossed out. I had to return the shoes and was barely acknowledged. The music was WAY too loud and the store was really hot both times. Not to mention the overstocked salesfloor with no room to move around and the filthy floor itself. I really like the socks I got, but I'm not sure that I want to brave the store to get them again.
