Had an earlier dinner, service was good and started filling up as it got closer to 6pm. Our server was friendly, checked on us but gave us space to enjoy our meal and conversation. The raspberry lemondrop doesn't pack a punch alcohol wise but I enjoyed it. Portions are large and definitely easily sharable. There was good lighting at each table to be able to see your dinner companions but dimmer throughout to give a sense of privacy, not sure if that's what they were going for but it was nice. Ample parking since it's in a strip mall. My only critique is that the containers for leftovers are the compostable clamshell containers; great for the environment but for butter and fat heavy foods. The containers absorbed the oils and leaked onto each other and the bag relatively quickly so keep that in mind if you're taking your pasta home without a bag or your car seats may be stained. read more

The Food: everyone in our group liked what they ordered. The pastas are cooked to al dente, sauces are flavorful, and portions are generous. Even the side salads are a good portion. Basket of bread comes with the meals. Pizzas are only ok... so just come for the pasta dishes. Daily special dishes are great as well. Happy Hour: very few places offer 3-6p HH 7 days a week. This is one of the rare spots that do! Decent HH menu with $5 house wines. Granted, the house wines are very basic, but their regular wine list has some nice options and are fairly priced. Service: prompt, friendly, overall good experiences with the service. Ambience: it's a cozy, warm vibe with fireplace for cold days. It can be cold if you're seated by the door. Plenty of booths to request when you rsvp. Making reservations is a good idea on weekends. Located in an unassuming strip mall, this is a gem of a find. Would absolutely come back. read more

I had been in before, but many years ago and have been to the Eagan location as well. Hubs was feeling like Italian so I suggested Andiamo. I wish I hadn't as we left very disappointed. It at least started out well. We were welcomed quickly and got drinks and appetizers orderes while we waited for another in our party to show. That's where the good ended. When our drinks came out (a mojito and Italian Margarita), we both commented that they were very sweet and we couldn't taste any of the alcohol in them. Didn't think about it much more as the food came out after. I had ordered lemon chicken with white sauce pasta on the side, another got the chicken andiamo with the same side, and a pear gorgonzola pizza. The person with the other chicken tried the pasta right away and dumped salt and pepper on it and said it was bland. I had started in on my chicken, which was at least decent, even though it could have used more sauce. When I got to the pasta, I got what was said. It was definitely bland and the sauce was totally broken. The person with the pizza said it was good, but rich. When the bill came, we found out why our drinks tasted off - they were rung in as virgin drinks! Ugh. We didn't ask for this and clearly aren't underage. I would have brought this up to the server, but was no where to be found after dropping off the bill and we just really wanted to get going. Don't think we will be returning. read more

The menu has a good variety of options and they do have monthly specials I saw. They also offer a happy hour. I ordered the lemon chicken with Alfredo sauce noodles. The lemon chicken was flavored very well. The sauce and noodles were just ok, I wish they had a roasted potato option as a side. My friend got the carbonara and said it was good but just a bit oily/greasy. We both would recommend and go back and try other entrees. The breadsticks in the bread basket are very tasty!! The menu is full of a number of Italian-American staples - think red sauce pasta, some pizzas and other classics. My husband ordered chicken parmigiana with white pasta as the side. He gave it a 4 out of 5. It's what he orders at every Italian restaurant we go to, so he knows his chicken parm. I had the WARM TOMATO SPINACH SALAD! One of the top 5 salads I've had at any restaurant ever! No really, get it! The spinach was warmed just enough to be wilted but still crunchy, tomatoes were blistered but not soggy, the onions and walnuts and goat cheese provided the perfect balance. I'm so upset I've lived in Woodbury all my life, and this is my first time at Andiamo!! The entire experience was fabulous, start to finish. The restaurant was full enough for a great atmosphere, and energy... But not so far that you couldn't get a table, or you felt like you were bumping up against other people. We came with a toddler and an infant, and felt like it was the perfect mix of upscale/fancy dining, but that we were still free to have our kiddos there. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and informed. The wine was delicious. we did bruschetta as a starter- The bread was super fresh, and the tomatoes were just right ... our 12 month old ate an entire ginormous piece to herself. I stopped in here during a work trip. Unexpectedly they had a very nice happy hour. We grabbed a couple appetizers, a pizza, and a couple pasta dishes. I love Italian food but am usually disappointed when I go to most places. Andiamo did NOT disappoint though. My husband and I stopped in after seeing good reviews on Yelp and we're so happy we did. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. I loved that they had a lunch menu since we couldn't agree on something to share. I ordered the Apple Gorgonzola salad to start with and it was huge and delicious. At that point I probably didn't need the pasta that I had ordered, but I had a few bites and brought the rest home. The pasta was cooked perfectly...it was flavorful and much better than the Good & Gather noodles I make at home. I also loved the chunky marinara. Usually sauces are too sweet for me, but this was perfect. My husband loved his sandwich. We both had tons of leftovers and I couldn't believe that our bill was only about $40 for the salad, pasta, sandwich and two beers. We normally spend way more than that whenever we go out. Located in the Valley Creek Mall, this location is friendly for all ages especially elderly as everything is on one level with abundant parking. The service was great and the food even better. We arrived at the time of our reservation we were seated, but then the waiter did not get to our table so I had to go to the bar to get a beer for happy hour got back to the table and then the waiter was just getting there. Girlfriend ordered a drink. Drink was fine. Beer was cold. Service was slow took about another 15 minutes before waiter came back to take our order. Salmon was a little overcooked. My pasta dish was what I expected it to be breadsticks. Do not have any taste whatsoever. The bread is very good. We ordered spumoni ice cream with two spoons that came with one people walking around not doing anything is very slow when I got my receipt from going to the bar the waitress the bartender the female bartender added a dollar my tip when I put zero tip thieves, she stole from me terrible. She should be fired. Haven't been there in a year. Food is average priced but bad experience with the bartender stealing from me. Our group of 30 had a wonderful dinner, buffet style, in the banquet room tonight. It was amazing from A to Z. The linens really contributed to the ambiance and every thing was right on schedule, fresh and at the perfect temperatures; salads cold and crisp and pastas and entrees hot. It definitely had not been held under warming lights and the team brought everything at once so there was no waiting for anything. We appreciated the punctuality. Our server and support team did an amazing job taking care of every want instantly. The skill of anticipation was clearly perfected. I was really amazed at how well they did for our group because often with a gathering like that something can go maybe a little bit wrong. Nope it was perfect. After our meal, we wondered why we have not been here more often? Was absolutely fantastic. Best Italian food in Dakota County. My weakness, calamari was hot, crisp and very flavorful. I enjoyed the scallops with crab and pea risotto. One of the absolute best risotto I have ever had; including Italy. My wife enjoyed her manicotti. It was wonderfully done and very tasty. Have been to Andiamo several times. The food is always excellent, but service varies from excellent to horrible. We really enjoy the ombiance of this restaurant. There is a fireplace in the middle of the room, which is toasty on a cold evening. After we were seated, it took quite some time for the waiter to stop by with water. We arrived around 4:45 so it was not yet busy. Service did improve after that. We enjoy the basket of warm bread and breadsticks that come before the meal. All of the appetizers and entrees we have tried have been delicious. This list includes the fried calamari, Penne Al Forno, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana, and Fazzoletti Bolognese. We are always too full to eat dessert at the restaurant but have taken home the tiramisu and the chocolate cake. We really enjoyed the tiramisu but did not care for the chocolate cake. read more
