After going here at least two times a month for the last 5 years, I realized that I had never written about this place. It's a bulk food store - not your average bulk place but one with some fine food! I have to admit, I am a BIG fan of the milk chocolate and dark chocolate covered pecans. This place also has a lot of Italian imports that you won't find elsewhere. I purchase my olive oil from here because it's excellent quality for a reasonable price. At the back of the store, you can grind your own peanut butter, cashew butter or almond butter. They have a pasta section as well as a tomato section. Don't miss this place. It's hidden away at the edge of the market but it's a place you gotta visit! read more

One of my favourite places downtown to get delicious but better-than-bulk-barn priced loose bulk goodies such as chocolate covered dried fruits or giant chocolate malt balls and pretzels, callebaut chocolate marbles and baking (or eating) wafers, corn nuts, spicy plantain/cassava chips, and dried veggie crisps. The staff here are helpful and kind offering to help me with a sample at times when I had questions about an item before buying. Debit can be used for purchases over $5 (easy) and credit over $10. The store is a bit hidden on the lower level of St Lawrence Market but once you reach it, it's a cool space full of goodies and good deals, just walk past the Crepe stand. I always make sure to stop by Dominos if at the market. Never had an issue with freshness. They get plenty of tourists and restock often. read more

Domino Foods in the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market is a fabulous bulk food store. This is a great way to reduce food costs, because you only buy what you need. For instance, I needed three dried porcini mushrooms for a recipe - and found them at Domino Foods for a dollar. I saved money by not buying a large pack of dried mushrooms that wd sit in my cupboard forever. And I got to select the ones I wanted. Plus, I brought my own container, so sm reducing plastics as well. read more

I've been a customer of this store for many decades, they should recognize me by now. Yesterday, not wearing a mask due to medical reasons, I was verbally assaulted by one of the staff, no questions of reason. (they're not allowed to ask according to Covid regulations). I was dissed and shamed, asked never to return! Suffice to say, although they have a vast selection of bulk merchandise, a Bulk barn store is actually closer to my residence and is just as acceptable without verbal abuse. I visit St. Lawrence Market every Saturday AM, primarily for bread at Future Bakery. Naturally I shop for other groceries. Arrgghh mateys!!! I feel like a pirate on the high seas whenever I'm stopping by Domino's Foods, arguably one of the best bulk/dry food stores in the city. Located in the lower level of the St. Lawrence Market, Domino's is a medium sized place that is stuffed to the gills with oils, pastas, dried fruits, spices, seasonal candy and canned goods. Truly a home chef's dream! 'Tis a tad cramped inside with the narrow aisles and pathways so be forewarned if you're visiting on a Saturday because you'll be politely navigating amongst other shoppers. I've found imported canned San Marzano tomatoes here for $1.99 compared to $4.99 at other specialty goods stores. A bargain if I ever saw one. Or I like to rifle through their boxes full of bulk candy-you got hard candy, gummy bears, chocolate covered pretzels a veritible loot for those with a sweet tooths. read more

Always stop by here when I'm at St. Lawrence. I pretty much bypass everything and go straight to the 10 smarties for $1... Best deal in town! Good for give aways when I go to the US. They also have 10 aeros for $1 and 5 oh henrys for $1. The space is real tight and packed with lots of bulk everything, but they managed to place 2 check out counters. read more

I don't know why it took me so long to write this review. And I don't know why I deliberated over the star allocation for so long too. I was stuck between 4 and 5; but eventually reasoned that I have very little to complain about when it comes to this place. What kind of bulk food would you like? Because I'm pretty sure they have it. It can appear a bit higgledy piggledy but I think that's mainly because there is just so much of everything in a reasonably small underground space. Nuts, chocolates, dried fruit, flours, spices, sugars, biscotti, sweets and on and on and on. There's a massive selection of oils, nut butters, honeys and sauces. I'm always convinced I'm going to embark on an exotic cooking spree when I shop here. But then I end up just buying nuts and chocolate. In fact, I've had to limit my visits because the temptations around every corner are just too much to handle. If there are downsides, it's that the place is a little cramped and can become packed so that it's difficult to pass people on the aisles. For all the hordes of shoppers though, the lines to pay are never that long. Prices are moderate-not really a bargain but they'll often match Bulk Barn. The staff are pleasant despite the place being hectic at times and they are like bizarre bulk food geniuses (genii?). They know the price of EVERYTHING. I'd like to figure out how many individual bulk food items are in that place, but I tend to lose focus when I get over 20 (high reps in the gym are troublesome) so I'll just say that there are lots of things so they are truly amazing for keeping track. So go! And please buy all the mini peanut butter cups. And the Lindt wafers in milk, dark and white chocolate. They're temptation I don't need... read more

This place is amazing. Yeah, it's way too packed and the check-outs are ridiculously positioned, but it has so much great stuff at unbeatable prices that it's impossible to give it less than all the stars. Domino is the best place I've found to get hot sauce - Exxxtra Hot Sauce Kutbil from El Yacateco is only 3.99! That's a great price for a great hot sauce. The big 237 ml bottle of Dant's Inferno Whitehot is only $4.99. They have bulk Callebaut chocolate - about the best big brand there is - for the best price anywhere. There's loads of great olive oils, a zillion other sauces and chocolates and spices and candies all priced lower than almost anywhere else. This store pays for the trip to the market all on its own! read more

Went to check it out as it was reccomended to me by a neighbour when I was looking for certain ingradients at reasonable prices and I'm in love with this place. By far it's my favourite bulk place in the city! They have a big selection and better prices than bulk barn! read more

Food assortments - Amazing! However, customer service is not just lacking... it's beyond poor quality, obnoxious I'd say! The regular staff seem to run amok. I am wondering if the owner knows just how outrageously rude two of them are! We witnessed a complete dressing down of a business woman asking about a price. They picked on her and verbally berated her until she left the store in tears. Wow. We won't shop there again in case we get treated like that. read more

I always pop by Domino when I am at the Market. If I need some random spice for a recipe, rest assured I will find it here. And if I want to mix it up a bit and try some new pasta, deffo I will have my pick of many. Yes this store is like a labyrinth and sometimes it does become a little hard to navigate when tourists are blocking the aisle debating over purchasing salted or unsalted nuts(just buy them both people...jeez!) but I feel for the selection and savings it is worth putting up with a little nonsense. The store has a good selection of everything -- baking supplies, dried foods, oils, coffee, nuts, candy, etc. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is excellent. However, I've experienced some rude behaviour from someone who must not like her job much. There is no need to be abrupt to a customer when a question has been asked, but that's happened more than once at this store. read more

impressive underground stash! makes me feel like im privy to a select club whenever i find my way into the market and get lost shopping amongst the bulk goods. the prices are unbeatable and the staff are the friendliest wizards, knowing every item's code! that makes shopping quicker too, not having to write them all on the backs of those little dumb white ties. it would make sense to always buy most of your groceries in bulk from this place, you will save a ton of $$ read more
