This week I went to Domino's Pizza to get carryout. I personally went to the location close to UAB campus because it is convenient and easy to get to. I ordered the $19.99 online special, and it comes with two one-topping pizzas and two bread bite options. I chose a chicken alfredo pizza, a ham pizza, parmesan bites, and cinnamon bread bites. I really loved how easy the online ordering process was and being able to customize exactly what I wanted without feeling rushed. Our total was a little higher than $19.99 since I upgraded to personal pan dough for one pizza, thin crust for the other, and added extra cheese. The total came out to around $25. When I picked it up inside, it was fast and quick. They asked for my name, and the order came right out. The customer service was good, and the establishment looked really clean. I have ordered from this store many times for pick up, and they have always gotten the order ready quickly and correctly. The worker at the counter has been kind every time and it is usually a quick pick up process. When I say I've ordered multiple times at dominos I've never decided to try their pan pizzas till this day and I was definitely living under a rock. The service was 10-15 minutes which was fast for me and once we arrived the food was hot and ready to eat. We were able to immediately pay without any line. The customers were all very nice and the place looked clean. When I tell you this pizza was cheap it definitely was for a college student. We used the coupon for one medium pizza with any topping for just 9.99$. From the first bite it tasted warm and filled with flavor. Half the pizza was made with toppings for my boyfriend and the other half was mine. I've always tried the hand toss pizza but I will from now on order the handmade pan pizza! read more

My experience was great but if there is one thing I would critic it is how small the parking lot is. It's tiny and you end up parking in front of the other businesses next door because there isn't enough room. This Domino's is really small but the service was pretty quick. The workers were super nice and our order was made right the first time around. There is enough room to sit and wait but not to eat. So, me and my boyfriend got take-out and ate it in the car. There is a TV in the waiting area giving you updates on your order as well. As you can see the box was made of paper so we just recycled it. However, there weren't any Covid precautions in place that I could see. It was open late and is close to campus which made it the obvious choice. This Domino's location offered us a top tier experience. We ordered online (which is incredibly convenient) and opted in for text updates on our order. The service was prompt and, upon pick up, a worker went into the store and brought out our pizzas. Everyone was very nice and wearing masks, which was definitely appreciated. As for the pizza itself, we got one medium with banana peppers and philly steak and another medium with ham and pineapple. The toppings were nicely distributed, the sauce not too overwhelming, and the pizza tasted delicious. We also got an order of the Parmesan bites which were hot and tasty as well. Pizza is one of my favorite foods to eat, it's almost like my comfort food. The pizza place that I go to the most is Domino's Pizza due to its amazing service and comforting vibes. Whenever I order from Domino's I usually go with a simple order of a plain cheese pizza. However, I pair it with ranch and garlic sauce for dipping with a side of garlic knots and marinara sauce. The plain cheese pizza has the correct amount of thickness, with cheese layers covering each corner of the pizza. The crunch of the crust and softness of the cheese and marinara brought it together. Dipping the slice into ranch gave it a creamy and tangy flavor enhancing the pizza. On the other hand, the garlic sauce gave an amazing garlic element when taking a bite of the pizza elevating the flavor even more. Lastly, having the garlic knots on the side gave a nice crispy crunch with a taste of garlic and brought the whole meal together. I would recommend trying the Dominoes in Birmingham, AL for sure whether it's dining in or take out. read more

Dominoes is always my go-to when I want to order a pizza. They keep delivery open pretty late - midnight. They always offer deals, like the 2 for 6$ each deal that always comes in handy. They even email you sometimes and say you need a free emergency pizza. After you order a couple of times, your points can add up to a free pizza. There's always some way you can get a discounted price. I got the barbeque sauce pizza with bacon and ground beef last night. I was hesitant to get BBQ sauce on my pizza, but the sweetness of it paired well with the cheese and it was delicious. The variety of toppings is always good - except for the mushrooms. This weekend, my friends and I wanted to order some pizza, and after coupon shopping around, we decided on Dominos! We got the basics - a pepperoni and a cheese pizza, along with some of the bread bites. They were really good! We chose to do carryout, and when we got to our store a little too early, the worker there was really apologetic about it not being done yet, even though we were the ones who had arrived a few minutes early. We sat and waited maybe 5 minutes before it was ready. As for COVID-19 precautions, I can't say that I remember anyone wearing masks, but it is understandable if a store has decided to remove storewide protocols. read more

We had an end of the year celebration for the kids at my school and had pizza delivered. We opened the first box and this is what the pizza looked like. I called Dominos to inquire about there pizza insurance and they told me that I would have to bring the pizza back(even though I got it delivered) in order for them to make me another one. Well I couldn't leave my students to go get another pizza, so unfortunately we had to make due....if you ask me, the pizza insurance is bogus! The Pizza took forever to arrive even after I confirmed on their tracker it was on it's way, when it finally arrived it was cold. I wasn't aware there was a Domino's near the UAB/Children's area downtown, but I'm not complaining. I'm guessing a lot of hospital workers order from this Domino's. We received exceptional service. They had a choose two for $5.99 deal going on which we took advantage of. You could choose between a medium pizza, sandwich, pasta, salad, cheesy bread, or dessert I believe. My coworker and I went with a medium pizza with pepperoni/ banana peppers and a build your own pasta. I liked the pizza we got, but I loved the pasta. I don't usually like chicken parm, but this was really good. I definitely need to get more of their pastas in the future. We customized our penne pasta with marinara sauce, chicken, Parmesan sauce and diced tomatoes. Yummy! They didn't skimp on the cheese. Their delivery service was super fast. You had a way to track online each step from when the worker puts your pizza in the oven to when they are out for delivery. I highly recommend this Domino's. read more

I visited this location recently for a late night study sesh snack. I ordered a medium pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza. I got it delivered. All Domino's locations now offer contactless delivery, so that's a plus. My order arrived on time. It was hot and fresh to my liking. The delivery process was seamless. I was allowed to tip online as to further enforce contactless delivery. The pizza was placed in a recyclable cardboard container, another plus. I have only been to this Domino's a few times, but it is always great! They have their lobby closed due to COVID but are offering curbside pickup - which was super convenient. I did not have to get out of my car and the girl who brought my food out wore her mask. My pizza was hot and ready when I got there and it was delicious. They are following COVID protocols very well. As far as sustainability, the food comes in cardboard boxes, so I would say they do a good job! read more

Ordered from the hotel. Driver called and asked me to go down to the lobby to meet him. I did. He showed up ten minutes later. Pizza was wet. The box had been set in something and it soaked through to the inside. I don't know if it happened at the restaurant or in the delivery guys bag but I threw the pizza away. Okay, I'm not saying this is like eating Frank Stitt's food, but this is probably the best delivery pizza you can get in Birmingham. In fact, I think it's probably the best delivery pizza I've ever gotten (remember, Slice doesn't deliver, and it's gone soggy by the time you get it home anyway). For some reason, this Domino's is not the goo-on-cardboard I remember from school. It's actually quite tasty - and blazing fast. When I was in college in Santa Fe, NM, there was a restaurant in town in a railroad car that had great New Mexican cuisine (think TexMex but with fresh vegetables and a much lighter but spicier chile). I am still convinced that the chef there was psychic. You'd order, and the food would be there before you took two sips of your drink. I believe I am witnessing the same phenomenon with this Domino's. Sure, they have the little "Pete the Pizzamaker" flash thing that's supposed to tell you when your food will arrive, but I know that the real-life chefs are kicking Pete's behind. I just ordered, and I think it's about 50/50 whether the food will get here or I'll finish this review first. I suppose I could cheat and quit writing now, but that wouldn't be very fair, would it? So let me tell you about the Domino's sandwiches. I was highly suspicious that they could make a decent sandwich. After all, I didn't remember the pizza being wonderful. But dang! the habanero chicken is wonderfully delicious, and the chicken parm isn't bad, either - my boss's favorite when we're working late. like now :-( You can tell that the bread is made from the same dough as the pizza crust, but that's not a bad thing, there's plenty of chicken and cheese and whatever else you tell them to load onto the sandwich, and you can even have them put extra in there. Plus, it keeps well for lunch the next day. Do NOT be fooled by the desserts, however. They aren't much good. But are you really ordering cake from Domino's? Don't do it. So we waited about 20 minutes & it still wasn't here. we thought maybe it got delivered to our neighbors because they have the same apartment number as us. ( everything we order usually goes to their apartment first) When I called dominos to let them know that may have happened the woman I told immediately acted like I was lying. She told me to hold & then hung up on me. When I called back she put me on with a male manager & he was immediately rude. Mocked what I told him I thought the issue was & when I tried to explain myself I could hear him talking to other employees completely ignoring me. This goes out to the Dominos on 280 Vestavia Hills AL - If I could give -5 star review I CERTAINLY would. So simple mistake, we ordered chicken wings with sauces and cinnamon bread with icing and the sauces and icing were not delivered with our order. So no big deal, we call not 1 minute after our driver is out of the neighborhood, or we would've spoken with her before she left. We called and let the store know we were missing our sauces and icing (which personally, we feel is a big part of what adds to the meal) and they tell us that a driver will bring it out to us. Okay, fine, right?! NO!! ..... 45 MINUTES LATER!! Still no sauces or icing have been delivered. So again...we call the store. We speak to the employee that answers the phone and explained that we would at least like a discount on our meal, or the tip back that we paid to the driver considering we did not get what we paid for. They then pass us to the manager who was EVEN MORE OF A DISAPPOINTMENT! The manager then tells us that they refused to refund us because "they didn't have a driver available". We live literally...3 minutes from this dominos. I call BS that there was NO ONE available to get us the items we number one, PAID FOR and number two, NEVER RECEIVED. Why didn't the manager get in their car and drive it over!! As a manager myself, there is not SINGLE thing I wouldn't do to go above and beyond for my clients. For a manager to get on the phone and tell us "No" we will not give you a discount or refund any percentage of your order because of our own mistake - is absolutely baffling to me. Dominos if you're reading this, you need to have an employee eval STAT on this manager because that's absolutely unacceptable. We will NEVER order from any dominos again after this and I will actively work against this company if given the chance. Absolutely ridiculous. Yes... 5 stars for dominos! I will say it is specifically for our order of food + the consistency of the staff at this location to have everything ready on time. We order their pan pizza with either pepperoni/black olives or pepperoni/pineapple and have even done black olives/pineapple and it is always consistently delicious. The crust is so crisp and buttered and the cheese is cooked into it adding a salty umami. The pan has the perfect amount of fluffy chewy crust to topping ratio which makes each bite perfect. The thin crust in these options also never disappoints. No- this is not gourmet pizza or Napoletano pizza.. but this is quick, consistent, cheesy, salty, ooey gooey all American goodness pizza to me. We have been ordering the buffalo chicken bites as well and they are also very tasty-- tender chicken cubes covered in buffalo sauce and cheese and then broiled so that the cheese is melts and gooey but crunchy like cheese chips around the edges. I give 5 stars for this dominos because for the price and the consistency it is a go to that never disappoints. read more
