On this visit service was ok. However my food was horrible. Ordered 3 sandwiches . All 3 were suppose to be 12inches however one was 6 . Was charged for a 6 so not over charged. My steak and cheese was dry. So dry it was more like a 4 inch sandwich. The 2 others sandwich were Italialio . They were also dry. Had to add additional dressing to them, which they already had dressing on them.. at this point, I will never go back. read more

This was my first experience with Marco's Pizza. We are new to the Trussville area, and a few weeks after moving we received a letter from them with a coupon to give them a try! The coupon was getting close to expiring, so we went ahead and made a carry-out order for pizza and wings (half lemon pepper; half bbq). My husband got there and didn't have to wait long. They showed him the pizza (looked great) and handed him the winged they didn't offer to show him, but he asked to see. They were all lemon pepper. They apologized and asked if he wanted to wait for them to rebake, but we were hungry, so he said no. But they didn't even offer to discount the price of the wings since they messed up or ordered. I've been here several times now. The last few times we've ordered something for pickup/carry-out, it hasn't been the best experience. They will say it will be ready in 15-20 minutes. I'll show up in 20 minutes, and still have to wait another 15+ minutes before my food is ready. This past visit, they had lost part of my order - they didn't know what flavor the wings we ordered were supposed to be and had to ask me. Several others came in with missing orders or the wrong food, and the phone was ringing off the hook and people were asking for managers. The food, luckily, is good. We've enjoyed several of the pizzas and tried the wings as well. The wings are a little on the small side, but flavorful. We've had the 'all meat' and the deluxe pizza, both of which are good. I hope the service improves. It really puts a damper on the experience. read more

While we usually enjoy Marco's Pizza, our latest experience was a disappointment. I ordered a "The Works" pizza with NO mushrooms, as you can see on the ticket, the order went in correctly. But the pizza we got contained TWO toppings we did not want: loads of mushrooms and paper liner (some of which I ate--yuck!) on the crust. This was our first visit to Marcos. My kids love pizza and I usually order from the more popular chains. I convinced them to try something different. On arrival, the line was to the door literally. Luckily, I had placed the order online but I still had to wait in the long line for pickup since they didn't have another line for online orders. After about 15 min in line I was able to pickup my order. We ordered a Large extra cheese pizza. The pizza didn't seem to have extra cheese and it was a little over done but I didn't have the time or energy for a remake. My kids' response: "it was ok but not better than ________". Marcos was a favorite of ours when we moved from out of state so we were happy to see this location when we moved from out of state. While the pizza is usually good, the service is not really ever good. It always feels like you're bothering the team members. It also drives my crazy that curbside is basically non-existent. After several attempts at selecting curbside, then arriving and selecting " I'm here" in the app and being told to hang tight and the order will be right out only to have it never show up and having to go in myself to get it, I have given up trying to use curbside. I don't mind going in when it's just me, but when I have my 18 month old in the car and have to get them out of the car seat and try to juggle them and the pizzas it is annoying. read more

My first time going and it was hard for me to order they got me squared away with Discounts and a Free cheese pizza with wasn't excepted since I forgot to elk them Thin crust, it wasn't a big problem and since their Dough is freshly prepared they still cook my thin crust and given me the cheese pizza for inconvenience (which what sold me as an forever customer) as I was there eating dinner with my kids, I notice they take care of all of their customers not just new customers. Rude employee named Tuscany at the Main Street Trussville Location when I called about an online order. When I called back I asked for the manager, Kenneth, who denied the attitude of the employee and threatened that we would never deliver at that house again and he also hung up. The food is mediocre and quality is inconsistent so it's no loss but I do not recommend a restaurant with both bad service and mediocre food. Newest Pizza Chain in Trussville. Very convenient to order online and pick up. We have not dined in yet. White Cheezy is the Bomb! I also like the large pieces of Italian Sausage you get instead of the smaller frozen pieces you get elsewhere. The only real negative I have to offer is the parking situation. Parking is fairly limited and no spots are dedicated to pick up. Inside would be helpful to have the line for cashier a bit more organized and separated from the dining area. Super good pizza!I. I got a large Italian sausage pizza and a large pepperoni pizza with half "old world" pepperoni and half new pepperoni. These pizza's were delicious. The pepperoni was salty, but not too much so, we'll balanced by the cheese and the sauce. The Italian sausage was bold, also well balanced by the sauce and the cheese. The crust was close to perfect. Even after calling to verify, the order was received and would be ready for pick up. I was in the restaurant to pick up my order today and I noticed a young lady sitting and eating at a table that was away from the food prep area, however, still in the kitchen and visible to customers. The young lady then got up from the table where she was eating and proceeded to assist with making pizzas, grabbing the pizzas and adding the sauce. Also, there was a second male employee sitting and eating at the same table in the kitchen. I whispered in a low voice to the cashier(who is usually very nice) "is that normal, that there are employees eating in the kitchen?" I didn't want to cause a scene, just inform her that we can see the employees eating in full view. She was visibly upset by my question and asked me if there was a problem. She said that it was a stainless steel table, so what's the problem? She continued that it didn't happen very often. I apologized for upsetting her with my question(which was valid). I think most people understand that it's a health violation in food service to eat your food and then walk over and make a customer's food. I probably wouldn't even be writing this review if it wasn't for the way she responded to me questioning a health violation in the restaurant where she is employed AND the male employee came out the back door and proceeded to stare me and my family down as we were leaving. I'm pretty upset at this point and I will never order from Marco's in Trussville again. I would love to speak to a GM about this. It's completely unacceptable. read more

Great pizza! We got the Delisioso with double pepperoni and cheese. Not sure what crust it came with but it was the original I think and it was tasty. The ingredients tasted fresh like they advertise. The sauce had a nice balance of sweet and tangy like I like. They have thin, thick and gluten free crusts. It took 30+ minutes from the time we received notification that the pizza was in route to our home, it is literally 1.1 miles from the restaurant to our home. We have ordered consistently from Marco's every other Friday for the past two years and there has been inconsistently in the food products. However for the most part, my family has been pleased. But, on today I placed an order for pick-up for 4:00pm at noon. I recently started to pick up the pizza because of unavailablity of delivery at various times and issues with the orders. I arrived at 3:55pm and was informed that my order was not ready. I witnessed delivery orders being prepared and taken out for delivery. Two separate people came in and placed their orders and even their orders were ready before mine. Lastly, I saw another person come and she was able to receive order, while I continued to wait. Finally, I was informed that my order was ready after a 20 minute wait. Needless to say this is unacceptable, I explained to the management team member and his response was that he could remake the pizza that was now lukewarm. I declined his offer since that would only result in additional wait time and the other pizza becoming lukewarm. I am always compassionate about the shortage of staff and how it impacts wait time, however it appears that it was only my particular order. I cannot help to think that since, I had a greatly discounted order due to my frequency of orders that my order was not of any importance. read more

Tonight I thought I would try Marcos in Trussville. I made my order online and waited patiently for the time my ticket stated it would be ready. There were at least six crew members wandering around in the kitchen , preparing wings for them selves, talking , and laughing. When my order was finally completed the young lady just handed it to me without a word. I say I'm sorry you had to wait , Thank You. She said sarcastically have a good night. I know good help is hard to find but you actually looked over staffed. Next time I'll keep my 50.00. I have been craving pizza all week. Finally, Friday November 11, 2022 at 6:30 pm we went to dine in at the Trussville location. The employees behind the counter couldn't decide if they worked there or not because they definitely weren't taking orders. It took over 40 minutes to receive out 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni and Italian sausage pizza and an order of cheese bread. Now mind you I have been craving pizza all week so because of the wait I just knew my pizza was going to be great. Absolutely not! It was burnt and very sloppy constructed together. Pizza was good. Bit greasy, but tasted good. My issue was the driver. Specifically requested it be left on the porch because I am in a house with two people with auto-immune issues. Driver comes and rings the doorbell and waits. So I open the door thinking he is just waiting to make sure we get it, but he is standing right in front of the door and barely give me room to get out the door. Best pizza in Trussville! The pizza and the staff get five stars, but the reason I only gave four is because of the seating in the restaurant. There simply isn't enough and that's a problem. My family and I went on a Friday evening and planned to eat there, but when we arrived we found the place was packed and there were no tables available and people were lined up waiting for tables. They had one large table (great for large groups, but...) that had a family of three, but the two kids had their stuff spread out over most of the rest of the table so nobody else wanted to sit there. There was all kinds of wasted floor space near the entry too. I do hope this relatively minor issue is just part of the growing process, because the food and the people are really great!
