The entire staff was welcoming and kind. Many smiles throughout - they really look like they enjoy what they do! The menu has plenty of delicious options to choose from! We went with a few breakfast options (avocado toast and egg & ham croisant), all of which was delicious! My husband and I shared a medium iced coffee, which was made perfectly! I decided to land on the bacon jam sandwich and garlic tots this time around... and decided my next time I'll do the mushroom sandwich with the tomato bisque. (Yes- already planning my follow-up visit!) I used a delivery service, so when I opened the door and was hit with the aroma of garlic, I knew I was going to be happy. :-D The garlic tots did not disappoint, covered in minced garlic and seasoning, with the perfect crunchy finish. The bacon jam sandwich was a nice balance of sweet and tangy with what felt like a bit of a smoked undertone. No regrets this afternoon! While Oozey's definitely can't be a caloric norm- it's certainly being added to my treat day options!

I'm never sure what to order with sourdough bread, so I just ordered the Italian sandwich with mozzarella, onions, and lettuce. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder because there was a $2.00 difference and I didn't feel that the cup would be enough. The order was fulfilled quickly and the dasher arrived fairly quickly, as well. The food was still at a good temperature and wrapped carefully. I wonder if the clam chowder was made by the same people who made the clam chowder for the other sourdough restaurant. It was good enough but not as good as what I've had on Cape Cod. The sandwich was good with reasonable meats and cheese and a good portion for a 6 inch.

Super thick cut of fresh salmon with cream cheese, capers, onion and cucumbers gave the sandwich a nice crunch. My Sea Salt Caramel coffee was great and their Asai bowls are impressive. SCENE: Located at the corner of W. 11th Street and East Street, Isabel's Cafe now occupies the old Sandwich Spot location. RECOMMENDATION(S): Awesome food! Highly recommended. The only negative I had was, unlike Sandwich Spot where you could watch your sandwich being made, Isabel's doesn't have that option. Everything is prepared in the back, away from the customers.
