Bad pizza tasted watered down extremely sweet almost like someone dumped a tub of sugar

It was nothing spectacular but I got exactly what I ordered. I asked for super extra pepperoni and a free garlic. They did not give it. I cannot blame them for being a stickler but I was disappointed not to get it. I got double pepperoni, and they did not skimp on the double. Some stores only give 1.5x pepperoni when you order double. This store gave me really double, really 2x, exactly what I ordered. Very nice distribution of the 2x pepperoni. Estimated time to delivery was 30 to 40 minutes. I did not time it exactly but I think they arrived just under a half hour. The online order bar did not update like it usually does. The delivery guy was very nice and friendly. He had a smile on his face when I opened the door. This was even despite it being below freezing out and I could see the breath it was so cold outside. PIZZA REVIEW AND TIPS The pizza was steaming hot. Tasted great. I give this pizza a 7/10 on my Pizza-O-Meter. 7/10 is pretty good. The best Dominos I ever had was a 9/10 on my Pizza-O-Meter. Most are 6 to 8 IMO. I strongly recommend to get Well Done (online, it's under the "special Order" menu at the bottom of the customize your pizza screen). My pizza which I ordered Well Done was perfect. However, any less it would have been doughy. I hate doughy undercooked pizza. So, I strongly recommend for you to choose Well-Done. MY ORDER I ordered 1x the regular sauce and 1x the marinara sauce because I wanted to see which I liked better. TOUGH CHOICE. I liked them both. At first I thought I liked the marinara better but then I ate a piece of the regular sauce again and it was just as good. I can't decide which I like better. I think the marinara has the nice marinara aftertaste so it tastes slightly more Italian. But I also like the regular sauce too. I eat EXTREMELY HEALTHY 99% of the time but as you can see from my other reviews, Dominos is my guilty pleasure. I eat it just a few times a year but I rarely eat anything else. When I want to order food, my go-to is Dominos. I have eaten Dominos in nearly every geographic area of the country - California, Washington, Texas, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast. It varies slightly depending on where you order. I felt Midwest was the most bland version although sometimes they made good ones. I thought when California made it right they do good, although it is a matter of opinion and personal taste, and depends which store you order from. Southeast is good, I like it. EXPENSIVE DELIVERY Of course, the major downside is that if you order Dominos delivery, they draw you in with the $5.99 each for two medium. In reality after tax, absurd $2.50 delivery charges (doesn't include tip), extra toppings, and tips to the driver, the end result comes to a $19 order which ends up being up to $25 depending on how much you tip. Advertised: $5.99. Actual: $25. Massive discrepancy there. You can avoid tip and delivery surcharge by picking up but you still have to pay for gas and the time to get there, which in Wake Forest traffic takes way longer than it should. And because of that, they will lose your business cause many times the only reason you ordered is because you didn't want to leave the house. But $25 is an expensive gambit, and is only worth it on very rare occasions. WHICH IS A BETTER DEAL? 2X MED $5.99 OR 1X LG $7.99 DEAL? The $7.99 for large 3-topping (14 inch) is actually a better deal, I did pizza calculators and it came out to slightly less per square inch than the $5.99 2-topping medium (12 inch). I got 3 toppings so that makes the medium even more expensive per square inch because even 1 more topping (each!) is Expensive. Also, you cannot get the $7.99 large 3-topping delivered, so that means that if you get the 2x $5.99 medium deal delivered, you also have to add higher taxes (due to higher cost), additional $2.50 delivery surcharge, and tips to the driver. This makes getting the 2x $5.99 medium delivered DRAMATICALLY higher cost than the 1x $7.99 large deal pick-up. I knew what I was getting into, so I could not blame them. Since I knew I would be paying all this extra for the convenience of not having to drive to the store, I was willing to accept it - although this by the way is a major reason why I do NOT order Dominos often except a few times a year - or even 1 to 2 times per year. If I could REALLY get a $5.99 pizza (maybe $7 after tax) delivered, I would order WAY more pizzas. In fact Dominos probably lost HUNDREDS of dollars from me if not thousands, because I'm only willing to pay this egregious delivery surcharge on a very rare basis. And I mean VERY rare. So the bottom line is, if you are picking it up, definitely get the 1x large 3-topping $7.99 deal. You will end up paying under $10 after tax. If it is just you, this is way better. But if you get it delivered (can't deliver the $7.99 large deal), don't be fooled by the $5.99 advertising, the final cost will be a minimum of over $20 after it is delivered. The manager was NOT ACCOMMODATING and sounded so NOT CARING. I ordered online for delivery here in wake forest, typed the business name and address... then when I called to follow up it turned out they cancelled it coz they can't find the exact location. I asked if they tried checking in google coz the business will even give a legit phone number where they can call me. I just took delivery of a medium thin crust pepperoni pizza that arrived with a corner piece missing. Nothing in food delivery is as disappointing as knowing your food was tampered with. I called the restaurant, complained and they are sending a new pizza to replaced but I will never order from this place again. There has to be trust in food delivery. I love that dominos has the online ordering now. Makes it super easy to order quick and painlessly. I usually don't order from chains, but being pregnant and craving pizza for nearly an entire week and not having much spending money, I got myself a pizza. I ordered a well done extra cheese pepperoni and onion pizza for the carryout deal of $7.99. I wish there was more cheese to it, but otherwise it was pretty good. This dominos delivery is a pain in the butt, they are either a 50/50, something always happens. We've had times where they deliver it to the wrong apartment which makes no sense because same driver has delivered it before. This time around a driver shows up with 4 boxes and we ordered a pizza and pasta... she argues with me that I ordered 3 sandwiches. I finally grab my phone to make sure and say no, I ordered a pizza and pasta like I always do. She said oh sorry I have the wrong address I have 3 orders in my car I'll be right back. 10 mins go by she doesn't come I look outside she is gone, I call and speak to the manager and he said oh yeah she called me and there was a mess up with the labels but we have your order going right out... it's been 1 hr and half and we hadn't gotten our food. Call again and another manager says that our order was delivered . So over it and I think this is the straw don't think I will be ordering again from this location!! Very disappointed. I had a bad day and really wanted pizza. I ordered meatzza (different meats) and when it arrived the delivery guy was very rude. I ordered pizza and Wings from this franchise location. The service here is terrible. The managers are as pathetic as they can be. The care nothing about there customers satisfaction. I recieved my pizza all burnt and messed up. I also requested that my wings be cooked three times because they are always super soggy and undone. When I recieved my order everything was incorrect. The Manager on staff then advised that he would do absolutely nothing to satisfy me as a customer. He then threatened to ban me from ordering. Tried them because I was looking for a cheap GF pizza and didn't feel like driving to my normal pizza place. The GF pizza was average and what I expected from a chain pizza place. It was decent and worth the money paid and delivered. If I want a better pizza I would goto a non chain place, but for a place that does quick delivery at a reasonable price and the GF pizza is not doughy and tastes decent will order from here again. read more

First of all, Dominos as a whole has completely reinvented themselves! The old crust tasted like cardboard but now the crust is delicious!! The online ordering experience at Dominos is top notch, and no other online ordering compares!! The Dominos in Wake Forest which is by my house is punctual and extremely professional. We really enjoyed our two pizza's tonight from Domino's on White St. I like that I can order online & run over there to pick it up. It's nice that their website shows the progress of the pizza. We live only about a mile away, so that works well for us. I could tell that it had just come out of the oven when I got there. It was hot! I went to this dominos on New Year's eve because I was ordering pizzas for my daughter and her friends to ring in the New Year. Along with the pizzas, I asked if they had garlic butter or garlic parmesan wings. The girl at the counter said they didn't. However, they could just give me a plain order and put some garlic butter sauce they use for their pizzas over top of them. I was impressed and agreed. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes so I paid, gave a tip, left, and came back 15 minutes later. Upon my return, a young man came to the counter and informed me I couldn't get the wings because they weren't on the menu. I was confused and asked why they couldn't just add a premade container of garlic sauce like the ones they serve in the pizza box on the side of plain wings. He replied, "We don't have premade containers. We make our own." So, I asked if he could just put some sauce they make in a container to pour over my wings, he stated, "We have no containers." Now, it became the principal of the thing so, I pointed at a fairly large container and said, you can put a scoop right in there. He held it up and said, "That's a lid." Because everyone knows Dominos has lids to containers just laying around that don't fit any containers???? At this time, the girl who took my order apologized to the man at the counter for messing up the order. I told the girl she had nothing to be sorry for because it really wasn't all that hard to do what she offered in the first place. I stated, if I can't get them, I didn't want any. The man said, "Well, that would mean I would have to cancel the entire transaction and start all over again." I replied, "Well then, that's what we'll have to do." With a roll of his eyes, he cancelled the transaction and totaled up the order without wings. I paid, did NOT leave a tip, and explained to him it would have been much better to serve me the wings with garlic sauce and explain they only did it this time because the girl who rang me up made a mistake in telling me they could. At that, I would have been satisfied and known not to order those again. Most importantly, Dominos would have kept my business. We typically don't order chain restaurant pizza because we love mom and pop type pizzeria pizza, and have 2 favs in Wake Forest that we are loyal to (Bella and LaForessta). Well, last Sunday, we were hung over fools, and didn't feel like leaving the couch, so we ordered Domino's because you can order it online, and they deliver. Sad, I know, but hey, sometimes you have those kind of days. The last time we got Domino's was about a year ago when they came out with their new marketing campaign, and new recipe. Last year, this pizza was decent. It was still very doughy, like most chain pizza is, but it did have nice flavor. So, we figured we would be getting the same thing this time. Not the case. The pizza was so greasy, so doughy, and so unflavorful, that we both were disgusted at ourselves for ordering it. We got a medium, which is really pretty small, and I only ate one piece. I can house some pizza, but this pizza actually tasted so bad and I could tell it would give me a tummy ache if I kept eating it, so I stopped at one small piece. I would have preferred a $5 Tombstone over this. I think it cost $13 for a medium pepperoni, plus a $2 delivery charge (we live one mile from the place...come on). I will never ever ever again make this mistake no matter how hung over I am. No more chain restaurant pizza ever again! read more
