Fast fwd to today, I was craving some pizza and my youngest wanted to get ice cream and I recalled they had a small gelato selection. I also figured I'd grab a couple of cannoli but I didn't recall them being $5.50 a piece!... it's been a hot min though but that was fine. Today, however, the cannoli shell was SO soft so I'm glad I decided to take a bite while waiting on the FUNGI pizza (which was phenomenal btw- delicious!!)... the cannoli tasted and was clearly old and as crazy as it sounds a little windexy. So I asked for replacement thinking for $12+ dessert I'm not sticking with a soggy dessert - the young man working was kind enough to offer to make new fresh ones for me including eliminating all the sugar powder and syrup. I thought that was nice. I do like the fungi pizza a lot and it's very tasty. Including the plain from first visit and the white pie. I think my issue with the restaurant is the pricing is incredibly high for pizza that doesn't always scream' best in the area' and it's not an 'Italian' business. They are from Turkey but they do a great job with the look and feel of Italy. But we're authentic Italians know what "buffalo mozz is" and what is in cannoli cream so while it's good tasting.. it's not exactly what we'd expect.
