I'm a snob for sushi & I can say confidently that the fish is fresh. Once you sink into the sashimi, it melts in your mouth & is not super chewy. First time at Domo, there were mixed results. A lot of good things and some not so great. My wife loved her choice of sushi. I thought the portion of the bento boxes were plentiful and they were good, especially the pork dumplings. I had hoped to find the dumplings as an appetizer but they were not on the menu. Instead I opted for the Beef Negimaki. It was my first time having it so I don't know if it's supposed to taste like this, but I thought it was a little bland. I also thought my Udon was bland as well. When I picked up the food on a Saturday evening, I thought the empty seats were going to be an indication of poor food, but based on the reasonable pricing, ease of online ordering, plentiful portions, and since my wife loved the sushi, I would consider coming again. I have been here a number of times over the years and always been happy with the service and food. We had a very surprising and disappointing experience dining tonight. Service was super slow, but we managed. Food was good. My spouse and I ordered the "sushi for 2" which felt like a fun splurge at $55. When we got the bill, it was $65 for that item. I inquired about this, assuming it was an error. The hostess quickly pointed to her computer and said "oh, it's a price change" and then proceeded to grab the printed menu and read me the fine print at the bottom that said something like "prices subject to change with or without notice" I was entirely shocked and truly couldn't believe she was serious. They didn't change the bill for us. Why would this not be pointed out when we ordered?! We would have changed our selection.and the fact that the hostess is trained to show people the fine print...this is clearly a thing they do. We will not be back. read more

The prices here are pretty solid especially for lunch so recommend coming here and getting the Any 3 Roll Combo or the Bento Box which should run you around 10-12 bucks. The lunch bento comes with crispy shrimp which the dinner box doesn't, and I think that with the price is such a steal. Know what you're getting here; the area isn't known for the best and most authentic Japanese food but you can get some pretty solid sushi for not that great of a price, and they have a good variety. Love their Yellowtail Scallion Roll - has a good amount of scallion for that nice crunch and fresh, veggie flavor but without skimping on the yellowtail pieces. This place is a go-to for years as I studied and worked in the area. It's a great place to get your japanese fix while you're in the area. read more

My mom chose the chicken teriyaki lunch special box, which came with California rolls. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance--perfect for a family dinner. The decor is nice, and the place feels clean. We especially enjoyed the Inari, sweet potato tempura sushi, and the tempura vegetables. The house salad and miso soup were also good, and my mom was very happy with her bento box. While the shrimp tempura rolls was fine, I might skip it next time or request eel sauce for added flavor. Love this place. I've never actually eaten in, but have done take out a few times. You can call in your order but I'll often order through grub hub. I'm vegetarian, so all I can comment on are their veggie rolls, which are soooooooo yummy! They have a nice variety from vegetable, to cucumber, to avocado and I've never had a bad one. It's made to order and quite quickly so I've never had a long wait for my food.
