They had a really awesome selection of vintage tshirts. They also had a bunch of really cute skirts. My friend got some new doc martens there that were so cute. The girl who helped get her size was super nice and checked in to see how she was liking them. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, but be sure to go in with the mindset that it is curated vintage and not thrifting as far as the pricing is concerned. It's unclear whether these pieces were abandoned, donated, or simply left on the curb and swept inside, but the result is the same: a museum of mediocrity, priced like MoMA's gift shop. Finally, after unearthing a painting that at least had the decency to resemble actual decor, I politely offered the cashier $20 cash for an item marked $29.99. This is where the experience somehow managed to get worse. She refused outright- not even a token pause to feign consideration- then snatched the painting out of my hands with the kind of hostility usually reserved for airport security confiscating contraband. Her tone could best be described as performatively rude as though she'd been waiting all day for the chance to unleash it on someone. The staff are doing research. As a buyer, you'll pay as much as or slightly less than what is being sold on Poshmark or Depop in my opinion. Sometimes you'll get lucky and a limited piece will be priced at what similar items for that brand would be priced ... and that's the thrill of it all. Not once did the girl (cashier) mention that they were fake, i even asked her how often she gets shipment and if they sold them at their actual store in Brooklyn. (i purchased these at their booth in Bryant Park) She even stated that they bring all the good blind boxes to the booth and how it's best to purchase them now rather than later. Does everyone shop with rubber gloves on in these stores? I don't like the funk that a lot of thrift stores have either.
