I have been to Don Chicken twice. First time I left underwhelmed. Almost didn't return. But I do love fried chicken. Second visit I got the Korean barbecue sauce. Very tasty. Fries were excellent super crispy exterior and fluffy interior. I don't think the pickled radish is that great. Kind of one note. Little squares of daikon radish. Coleslaw is fine. They make it fresh so you might need to wait 10 minutes. I have gotten it to go both times and eaten it immediately upon getting to my car. I think it's a good value for the price. Staff don't seem that enthusiastic but I have rolled in both times after 9pm so I get it. I am going to try the drums next time. No bone in thighs? Madness. read more

Had to check out this chicken spot because I love chicken lol! Parking lot nearby as well as affordable street parking. Though this spot is geared for takeout there are bar stools and counter available. Service was great, actually sat and ate inside because it wasn't too crowded and felt comfortable to do so with kids, stroller, etc. Our food was so good we went back a week later. Good crispy Korean fried chicken! The soy garlic wings were not too saucy, but had a nice soy garlic flavor (without being overpowering). It was crispy and crunchy, despite us eating it about 90 minutes after being made. The Kalbo wings had a smoky, slightly sweet flavor. They were good as well, though not my cup of tea in terms of flavor profile. The staff had our order ready 5 min early and were friendly at pickup. The location is tucked away in a small shopping center I never knew existed, but I think they're doing a good job advertising (which is how I learned about them). Overall, would recommend! read more

Wish the sauce was more so saturating reg wings but I believe it was due to the way I placed my order. The wings get a 2 thumbs up! Its actually a dry rub, so no sauce. Not greasy at all. Also ordered a medium cheese, which is essentially just a regular original flavor covered in parmesan cheese. I wouldn't order that one again. One complaint is that they don't let you order 2 flavors in a Large order. Most other places do allow that. So you are basically going to have 10 drumsticks which are the same flavor. Cash discount. My personal favorite was the soy garlic wings, the breading to chicken ratio is just right and the seasoning was well balanced. The small size (10) is the best portion for one or as an appetizer for two. Meanwhile, the sweet & spicy was a bit disappointing as there was no spice whatsoever, it was all sweet. I saw this place randomly as I was driving and decided to give it a try because I love some Korean wings. The place has minimal seating bar stool style so better off picking it up and taking it home. I tried the soy garlic wings and they were delicious some of the best wings I ve had, I reheated my left overs the next day in the air fryer and they still tasted great. You can order online which I would do next time. However, know that you save money if you pay in cash. Crispy Chicken boneless -- very crunchy nuggets. Garlic Soy Drumsticks -- very large drumsticks. It's a sticky honey. Sweet glaze. I don't really taste garlic but it is yummy. Next time I'd get wings or boneless. The drumsticks are good just big. Ppuring wings --- it's a dusty powder. Looks like Cheeto dust but it's not cheesy...it's more sweet. Fried pork dumplings --- good filling, like the glass noodles in with the filling. Sad that I didn't get to try their radish. Can only speak for the ddukbokki but it's sooo good! There aren't many good Korean restaurants in the area but I was so excited to hear a Don Chicken was opening. Really nice new addition to Downtown Cranford everything was great. At first when I went to order I thought that the prices were too high at ~$13 for a "small" chicken order. Rest assured you get really good bang for your buck. The small chicken can easily feed 2 people especially if they aren't fat like me. In terms of food quality everything was delicious. I had the boneless chicken which was nice and crispy, great flavor. Also did the fried pork dumplings which are a must. I'll be back to try some more of their flavors and sauces. read more

Love your chicken... Odered 10 wings but you dont' get the full wings... You take the two bacl portions and gut in half... So you only get 5 whole cut pieces. Because if it was a true 10 chicken wing ansd you cut them should 20 pieces in the box. In reality you getting 5 chicken wings not 10. Other chicken places give you the whole wing .. you cut it up 5 to get 10 pieces not 10 wings. your expensive for 5 cutup wings.... read more
