Located on a busy Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, I decided on bb.q Chicken for lunch. The acronym "bb.q" in their name stands for "Best of the Best Quality," focusing on high-quality ingredients. Upon arrival as a first-timer at this modern, well-lit, clean establishment with Korean music playing throughout, I was greeted by the staff. Their menu features fried chicken, rice bowls, and Ddeok-Bokki. I decided on the Honey Garlic Wings brushed in a savory sauce with a mild tang of garlic and Chicken Fried Rice with vegetables in a classic kimchi base. The wings were prepared fresh (~20 mins prep time). The taste was deliciously amazing and addicting with a perfect balance of crispy and juicy with the right amount of spices. The complimentary pickled radish that came with the meal had a good balance. All was prepared for takeout even if one was dining there. Came here to pick up some food before heading home. There was metered parking in front of the facility, which is always a plus in this area. It was my first time here so I took some time to figure out what I wanted. I got the kimchi rice and the hot and spicy chicken. Let me say this... the hot and spicy chicken is not for the weak!!!! It is spicy, but oooooohhhhhh sooooo good. The rice came with a fried egg on top. I didnt eat the egg, but ate all the rice. It was good. Good spot, for convenient and delicious food. read more

Quality of food. 10 out of 10 made to order. Chicken is crunchy and delicious once you find your flavor. Everything is cooked to pefection. Made fresh so expect to wait 20 mins for your food but it was worth it. The only thing that was disappointing was some of their flavors but I know this is all preference based. The secret sauce was extremely too sweet for me no spice. The galbi favor was confusing it wasn't good or bad it's almost like it didn't know what it wanted to be. The noodles were delicious. Fries are fries and I love pickled radish! The honey garlic is 10/10 would highly recommend! Service was good. The guy was so sweet and patient with our indecisiveness. The ambiance was cute. The only thing that I hated was the bathroom. There was a HUGE window in the bathroom. Made me uncomfortable it was blacked out, but still weird so I did go outside to confirm it was blacked out. We always go to BBQ CHICKEN in Union because the quality of food is excellent. We went there one time thinking they're open til 9:30 as it says on Google but the truth was it's only till 8:30pm but the person at the front & chefs at the back was really nice cause they still catered to us and accepted our dine-in orders and just waited for us to finish. It's rare these days to find people like them and I can highly recommend their spot! Their chicken is to absolute perfection!!! Try the tteokbokki and sweet potato fries as well. Been meaning to stop by since they opened and Im happy the wait was worth it. At first glance you'd think the chicken is heavy because the crust is thicker than most Korean Fried chicken I've had. It is still light and crispy (although it steamed in the bag after 45 minutes in traffic). I agree with other comments of the sauces being sweet but they are good. Oh and the wings of fire are not for ppl with high blood pressure. Lol. I also had the chicken fried rice and appreciate the fact that they used chicken thighs and not breast. You can customize your wings to be prepped with 11 sauces and half-and-half boxes with combinations of 8, 16, or 24 pieces. All orders can come with complimentary pickled radish. Hubs and I found the Gangnam Style (black pepper/ garlic/ onion sauce) and classic Soy Garlic really tasty while my kids enjoyed the flaky Golden Original with ketchup and crispy Curly Fries. The wings were so good that I dove right in and didn't give a shit about getting my hands messy. While, I can't wait to try more of their menu, these wings are so good, they're worth cluckin' about! This is the best Korean bbq chicken I've had outside of Korea. So juicy, so crispy, so flavorful. We had the soy garlic and galbi flavors and they were both delicious. Their kimchi fried rice with chicken is the ultimate comfort food, so warming on a cold winter's day. Visited the Union location and I was happy we did. The Mala spiced chicken was nice and had that tingly Mala spice. Me wife had the hot tenders and was happy. The thing that would make me come back beyond the excellent chicken was the pickled radish. Fresh and delicious unlike a competitor who has radish that smells and tastes bad. Also got a free Tteboki through the App. Parking is tough but there is free parking in a small lot down the street. Definitely worth coming back to try more of their chicken. read more

I really liked this place- it's a great addition to the area. The chicken is CHICKENNNNNNN - like no doubt about it. The boneless literally almost brought a tear to my eyes because literally, it's just real good chicken. My only gripe would be that the sauces are way too sweet. We tried 3 of the 6 and it was sugar over load.l even for the flavors that were supposed to be spicy. I'm interested to try the plain fried but will definitely be back. read more

So glad they opened up a bb.q here. Owner is great we went before they even opened the restaurant to the public and let us try their offerings. Extremely delicious juicy flavorful. Can't wait to try the other flavors they have. This time, we just had the cheese version. Soy garlic and hot spicy. I asked if they'll offer the cheese wrapped chicken they have in the Asian markets like Philippines and Korea . he said he'll bring it up with corporate. Oh and also just fyi they only offer 2 flavor choices on the medium wings. Hopefully soon they allow us to get different flavors on large wings. The restaurant was super clean and looks great.
