    Over night food.

First timer and I liked it . Best thing is that they are open late night and we'll located . Lots of parking outside .. nice and clean restaurant from inside . Priced ok nice and quick service .. Had chk wings which was normal But the hot sauce was just awesome ... it added a zing to the food . It's like a secret sauce locally made by them I think . Fries were ok . A little bit soggy . Couldn't eat much . I also heard their gyros are good ..need to try chk with rice next time :) overall a good experience ... ambience was good

Fast food chicken at its best. Lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. I've been back twice since the first time and each time was great.

After about two years of renovation but no media announcement about its launch timeline and no soft…read moreopening, this new Popeyes store in Oak Park Commons suddenly opened last week in the standalone retail space where the old Hollywood Video and later Fitness 19 used to be. The store is very small, occupying only half of the building, so don't try to book a child's birthday party here. According to the construction company that renovated this space, this location is franchised like most Popeyes stores. The interior space has two restrooms, seating for approximately 15 people, and a drive-thru that wraps around the building. A self-serve fountain soda machine is to the left of the counter. The location is the most unfortunate choice I have ever seen for a fast food restaurant, being only a few feet away from a Wells Fargo drive-thru and the bottleneck at the corner of Carmen's. This Popeyes is very visible from the intersection, but getting in and out of the parking lot is a bit of a hassle. The main throughway for this area is behind the McDonald's, which already generates a lot of traffic of its own along with the LA Fitness and Aldi. As for service, there are still very much some growing pains. Mobile ordering was not working when I visited, so I had to order in person at the cashier. The #1 combo I ordered was fine, but it required a 15-minute wait even though there was only one customer in front of me. There's clearly still a personnel shortage, as evidenced by current staffing levels and the "now hiring" signs outside the store. On a side note, the other half of the building appears to be empty and not undergoing any active renovation, with no indication of what this Popeye's neighbor will be.

Each dish was packed with flavor. The crispy chicken sandwich was perfectly cooked, with a super crispy coating that stayed intact (always a good sign!). The masala fries were seasoned just right. When we ordered the paratha pulled beef roll, the staff gave us a heads-up that it was a bit spicy but it turned out to be really spicy, so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to heat. The restaurant itself was well-maintained, and the staff did a great job keeping everything clean and tidy.

When I approached the register, the employee asked who I was picking up for. I showed her the order information on my phone, and she checked it before walking away. The problem was that she never came back or gave me any update. I was left standing there waiting, assuming the order was still being prepared. After waiting longer than necessary, I had to approach another employee to find out what was happening. I was then told that my food had actually been ready for several minutes. That was frustrating because a simple update or acknowledgment would have avoided the entire situation. What bothered me most was that when I finally brought up the issue, instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, I felt like I was being brushed off with a quick "have a good night." I understand that restaurants can get busy, and I'm not expecting perfect service every time. However, basic communication, attentiveness, and respect go a long way especially when someone is simply trying to pick up an order. I'm leaving this review because the pickup process needs improvement. Management should make sure employees are communicating with customers and following through after asking them for their order information. A little better customer service would make a big difference.

They weren't busy at all and the staff member who approached me by the counter looked bored, yet she couldn't bother to answer a simple question and looked annoyed when I tried to ask for advice, with her only pointing to the menu. Sucks that automation is taking away jobs, but I felt deep in my heart for a moment that an AI could've treated me better. To think I worked at fast food once upon a time despite having a college degree during the financial crisis and worked much harder for only $7 an hour, and yeah even with inflation it's nowhere near the minimum wage now. Anyway, I did like the bit of kick in the batter of the chicken sandwich. I didn't like that you couldn't add extra pickles and frankly Popeye's has a better (and cheaper) crispier sandwich, which you can add a spicy sauce to. Oh yeah, looks like Bojangles also charge for sauce. Shouldn't at least one or two come per entree? Literally using the sauce to make your food taste better so we'll want to return, these are bizarre choices fast food chains are making these days. I can go to CFA for a better experience, and staff will seem friendlier and happier there. Even the Wendy's and BK next door have people who are at least chill (instead of downright cold) if not friendlier, which they are. At least the sauce cups are a good size though and I just paid it without a complaint. Still, so much for Southern hospitality! Mac & cheese was also very bland and generic, enough though I thought I read it was made with 4 types of cheese. I'll need to give their tenders and peach cobbler a try next time, but also noticed there was no way to order tenders without making it a combo. Not much of a first impression, what a shame!

Within a month of its grand opening the lines at Bojangles were insane, so waiting for some of the excitement to die down was definitely a good call. We visited for breakfast without really knowing what the menu consisted of and were surprised to see a good amount of patrons grabbing some early morning eats as well. We opted for the chicken biscuit (+ cheese) and the sausage, egg & cheese biscuit. Biscuits were fresh, fluffy and buttery, they definitely made the sandwich. Unlike other fast food chains you can watch the staff prepare biscuits fresh in front of you, surprisingly rolling the dough out and not premade from frozen! While the sausage wasn't anything special (just tasted like a standard fast food frozen sausage) the chicken was incredible. Crispy, expertly seasoned, I completely understand the hype behind this chain. The Bo Rounds, their version of hash browns, were amazing. Their iced cold brew and coffee were surprisingly good, not something you expect from a fast food place. I'm only giving this 4 stars because it does seem like a good chunk of the original Bojangles menu is missing. I've heard such great things about their fried chicken, but it looks like this location only sells chicken tenders. What a shame, but we will definitely be returning!

I ordered takeout with noodles, chicken teriyaki and the famous orange chicken. Also ordered a side of rangoons. The noodles were nice, chewy and not over cooked. It had a mild flavor which I like since the entrees have plenty of flavor. The chicken teriyaki was flavorful and juicy. I like that they use dark meat for the teriyaki because it doesn't dry out as easily. The orange chicken is almost a must order when you go to Panda Express. The chicken to breading ratio isn't the best but it's what Panda is known for. It was still slightly crispy even after being doused in sauce and it had a sweet and tangy flavor that goes perfect with some rice or noodles. The rangoons were decent. They were still crispy when I got home but I thought they were lacking in flavor and could probably use a little more filling. Overall, I think Panda is a good place to go if you're looking for a quick and hearty dinner. You have plenty of choices and they have healthier options if that's what you're looking for. Nowadays with food costs going up, I still feel that Panda is a decent deal for the amount of food and quality that you get.

We were told that the kitchen had already been closed and that whatever food was left on the bar was all they were serving. By the time it was my turn, everything I wanted was gone. I asked if they could make more food and was told no; even though the restaurant was still open and there were multiple customers waiting to order. If you're going to advertise that you're open until a certain time, customers who arrive well before closing should still be able to order food. Closing the kitchen this early and leaving customers to pick through whatever happens to be left is incredibly frustrating. I drove here specifically for this food because it was open.
