Courtney served us four tapas: 1. guacamole with chips though the avocado looked like a whole one it wasn't, just peeled and torched it perhaps. 2. Empanadas, each the size of a silver dollar. 3. A bowl of mussels, really yummy sauce. 4. Elote corn Very expensive for four tapas so that's why the loss of a star. The dining room was well decorated and the men/women's restroom was painted in a bold blue with a colorful poster. If you want to dine here, be prepared for a high tab. We both agreed that the mussels were the best, the teeny empanadas came in second, and finally the guacamole came in third. Neither of us cared for the corn which tasted like frozen corn that was heated up. When we want to spend a lot, then we will return but the final bill of $100 for four tapas was a lot. Courtney was a knowledgeable server.

    Steak taco-so good!

Tried out the brick and mortar version of the popular food truck and it was very good! Highlights: kind and friendly service and staff. Chef/owner came and spoke to us as well as his wife and we felt very welcomed. Server was also very knowledgeable about menu items Saw some other reviews on here and tried some of the items others had suggested. Standouts for food: Avocado! Trust it is great! Empanadas-beef The steak taco! Enjoyed the lobster bao buns but not sure it was $37 worth of lobster. The potato's are good too and the fried chicken taco was also good, but just not as good as the other food. It's nicely decorated inside and has a cool vibe. Will come back to enjoy more of the food!

Charming newer place in the heart of colonial Williamsburg serving Tapas and foods with a latin or international flare. As you would expect with Tapas, portions were small and bite sized. Two "Main" appetizers we had were empanadas-5 @ th size of a silver dollar in a delightful aji rojo velouté. The other was mussels- about 25 mussels with Spanish chorizo in an aji amarillo broth, & 3 grilled baguettes. I could have taken a bath it that sauce, and seriously considered asking for additional grilled baguettes to soak it up. Smaller dishes were Guacamole Tatemado-Fire-roasted avocado, aji amarillo velouté, salsa brunoise, micro cilantro, warm tortilla chips, and Street Corn-Street Corn - Fire-roasted corn, chili aioli, cotija, cilantro, chile de árbol sauce. Of all the dishes, that one was the only one we considered disappointing; flavor was lacking and could really have used a little lime or more or stronger chiles. Our server, Courtney, was a bundle of energy, cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. The decor is modern and comfortable, but the size is small, so might want reservations at busy times and seasons. Given the area, it's not surprising that it's a bit pricey - our 4 dishes, no drinks, with tax and tip were almost $100.

I recently tried Don Chido and had a pretty decent experience overall. The atmosphere was nice, and the visit itself was enjoyable, but the food was just alright. I ordered the Korean fried chicken tacos, and honestly, the tacos weren't the best tasting. The flavors didn't really stand out, and for two small tacos, the price felt a bit crazy for what I received.

Had lunch at Don Chido today and everything was fantastic . We started with the Street Corn and the Pan Con Tomate, both were excellent . We also tried the Carne Asada tacos and the Patatas con Langosta. The aji rojo sauce on the Carne Arsada tacos was amazing . The flavors of everything all blend so well together . Definitely recommend. Also the Strawberry fresco mojito was awesome as well, the touch of prosecco really makes the drink.

This past weekend I tried their newly opened restaurant next to Amber Ox and Oishii. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant as you walk in is modern and fun. I thought the food was spectacular, however be aware that these are tapas-style small plates that can get quite pricey. Additionally, the service took a while, they often forgot about items I ordered, or they were sold out. That being said, I did go on opening weekend so those types of things are meant to happen. Overall good experience! Note: They are still working on their liquor license but do have mocktails.

Came in early on Cinco de Mayo and was not disappointed! We went with the lobster fries, empanadas, Korean short rib bowl and chicken al pastor tacos. It was all amazing! If I had to say, the empanadas were my favorite though. We will definitely be back!

    Chicken and chorizo paella!

Food was amazing! Service was above and beyond. The restaurant looks amazing, appreciated that there was not one tv! We will definitely be back!

My wife had the Stack wedge with fried chicken and loved it. I had the triple threat tacos..LOL. 1 fried chicken taco, 1 fried oyster taco, 1 pork taco. Yum, the chicken taco had been my favorite and continues the streak..the spice is so nice! Now, the fried oyster taco is giving the chicken taco a run for the money. Perfect amount of oysters and finely loaded with savory herbs n spices. Thank You Casa Pearl Staff!

This…read morerestaurant was executing at a very high level and it seemed like every dish was prepared with care and thought. The service was friendly and very informative, which was nice as we made decisions. The ambience was also excellent; we sat outside, but would've been happy to sit inside in the lively dining room. The standout dish of the meal was the baked Chincoteague clams. These were flavored with Thai green curry and were excellent bites. The smoked pork taco was also very much a stand out, the smoked flavors contrasted well with the freshness and it relief belt as if this taco provided bang for buck. The other dishes were well executed. A crab gazpacho with grape and other aromatic flavors as the base was well done but there was not much crab and so did not feel as if it was a particularly worthwhile dish to get. The grape flavor was also somewhat too prominent for my liking, but the dish was refreshing and light as promised. The brussels sprouts were solid but not particularly memorable. The oyster taco was slightly overburdened by slaw and proved somewhat more tangy than what was called. I would definitely come back for the clams and the smoked pork taco and would be interested to taste the raw preparations as well as the fried chicken taco next time.

Sophia and I ate lunch here on a pretty weekend day. This was actually the 2nd time we ate here…read more Back in 2017 or 2018, we had lunch with friends from a social group. So, let's find out how the visit went. There weren't a lot of people inside and there was only one waitress attending to tables. They have a bar area, tables and booths. We decided to eat near the entrance to their supermarket. It took a while for us to roam through the menu, but decided on what we wanted a few minutes after getting seates. I chose a 1/2 chicken with two sides (fried yucca and french fries). The Peruvian chicken was pretty good and flavorful. Both the fried yucca and fries could've been seasoned more, but were plentiful. I actually saved half of my meal for takeout and tasted well for dinner. Unfortunately, the bad part of our visit was the decor. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which has seen better days. Seats at the booth are torn up.....literally. The tables are outdated. The floor is in pretty bad shape, especially near the bar area. And in the bathroom, the paper towel dispenser was not connected to the wall and instead, laying on the floor. It's not comfortable washing your hands and then turning it sideways where you can get paper. I really don't mean to sound mean,, but the decor alone would turn folks away. It needs a big renovation all around. Hopefully, down the road, they can upgrade or they may become a thing of the past :(
