I took my 2019 Honda to this dealership after it suddenly stalled on the toll road. I dropped it off on a Tuesday, and despite calling multiple times, I didn't hear anything back until Friday evening. That's already unacceptable for something potentially serious. When I finally got a response, I was told my transmission had completely failed and the repair would cost me $12,500 out of pocket. This was shocking to hear, especially since my car hasn't even reached 100,000 miles and I've only had it for a year. Trying to understand my options, I asked to speak with someone in the sales department about possibly trading in the car. I explained my situation to a sales rep, who seemed sympathetic and said he would talk to his manager and call me back. That call never came. Thankfully, a family member who owns a mechanic shop in San Antonio offered to take a look. I had my car towed there and -- to my complete disbelief -- he discovered the only issue was a bad catalytic converter, which he replaced for $500. The car runs perfectly now. This dealership either **grossly misdiagnosed** the problem or was attempting to take advantage of me. Either way, it's unacceptable. I think that's why they had to change their name from Bobby Ford to Yaklin because they are the epitome of the dealer reputation/addage: "that vehicle may not come in with a problem, but it better leave with one".
