My wife's jeep was in the shop over 2 months waiting for a part, after repeated phone calls about the car and needing a rental I was sent to Bay City enterprise to get a car, I was told I did not have to pay Don Davis warranty was covering it! needless to say now enterprise is wanting me to pay what Don Davis service guy agrees to pay 50.00 a day and now his story changed to 40.00 now I stuck with the rest. plus the repeat lies I was told that my cars part will be in this day no now this day....all lies then when you ask them it's not there problem...Don Davis has poor service and management all the way around no help!! read more

Terrible place to do business. You do not matter to them, but they love to take your money! I have been there for sales and service. Sales was terrible, would not negotiate and price was too high! I originally found a vehicle on CarGurus that was at their lot. I tried to set up an appointment to go see the vehicle but could not because it was in the shop (they had to address a recall). They sent me an email with an offer for a new vehicle that was within $1000 of the price on the 2017 truck that I was considering. I have attached the email - see page 3. I went to look at the new truck. It was clear that nobody was interested in this truck because it had cobwebs on the door handle and on all four wheels as well as debris from sitting under a tree in the bed. Nevertheless I was interested and took the truck for a test drive. When we sat down to finalize the price and factor in my trade-in the final price was $4000 more (including the $2000 credit for my trade-in, so in reality 6k more than the advertised price) I kind of knew something was odd when I could purchase a new truck for the price of a 3 year old truck with similar features. It turns out that in the dealer notes they list every available discount and remove that from the advertised price regardless of whether or not you qualify for the discount. I told them I thought that was deceptive and offered to buy the truck for the advertised price. They wouldn't have anything to do with that. I think I could have negotiated a lower price that I was comfortable with, but I didn't go there. I will not reward a business that uses deceptive practices. I walked. This is the kind of business that gives car salesmen a bad name. read more

This dealership has a very rude Finance Manager and Sales Manager. Don't waste your time with going there.

Please review them on BBB before you go in. They ARE NOT an accredited company. We took our 2006 dodge in for a brake light repair and they broke our windshield (and would not take credit for it) and pinched a wire in our steering column which made the blinkers work in reverse and sometimes not at all. We had all the documented proof and filed with the BBB. read more

Worst service I have ever had from a dealership. Took my truck in for warranty work on my rear axle. Either the wrong part was installed or the part was installed improperly which caused it to fail within 50 miles. I was unable to use my truck for three days before they could get me in to make another repair. Their service department does not return my phone calls and they have no remorse. The only reason I chose Don Davis was because it was close to my house. A bunch of my friends at work told me this place is horrible after I had already dropped off my truck. Now I understand why everybody told me not to go here. This is the first negative review I have ever posted on Yelp. But if this saves you from going to the same headache that I did it was worth it. read more

I would never buy another car from this place, I have once before, never again! Like many people do I was browsing on a Sunday, I am in the market for a Hyundai Kona, always do my research before a big purchase. They had a Kona, it was unlocked so I opened the door and sat in it, some guy that had just let himself onto the premises thru the locked gate(either a salesman or one of the "big shots") pulls up in his truck and says "may I help you"? No you cannot help me, you are closed, I said "just looking" and he says "you're looking on the inside"?. I said "is that a problem" and he drove off. Screw you dude, he made me feel like a criminal, if you don't want anyone in the vehicles, LOCK THEM. It was unlocked, I didn't break in. There was another couple there looking, did you harass them too? I very well may buy a Kona, but it wont be from these assholes. read more

Today I got my car back from the service dept and I am beyond tickled. I went in to have some work done, it cost me a little more than I expected. In their defense my car is 10 years old and was a daily driver for 8 of those years. We had some difficulties trying to sort out the issues of my poor old car, but in the end Kelly took such good care of me I had to tell everyone. read more

This is probably the worst dealership I've ever been to. They are super pushy and rude making it almost impossible to work with. The salesman Axel Solis insisted that I wouldn't be able to "afford" something and the manager wanted to question my every word. I would not suggest going to this place. read more

I appreciate the free tank of gas for wasting my time (I suppose), however I would have preferred not wasting my time than to have experienced such a lack of care for a potential customer. Sales Rep, Genesis, is the most amazing person ever! However, management needs improvement. They will tell you anything to get you there and when you do they will treat you like they could care less if they get your business. The finance manager, especially, makes it apparent that he doesn't need your business and will try every tactic to get you to do whatever you need to so that they can get the sale at highest amount, regardless of what you as a customer need. Perhaps we caught you all on the wrong day? Perhaps you were ready to go home because we came in at 6pm and you close at 8pm. Be super careful when dealing with them (especially with financing) and make sure you shop around! We even found an identical car lower priced at a sister dealership (we just so happened to look) and they would not lower the price. They do NOT have the customers best interest at heart. Again, the sales people are great, it's the paperwork and numbers you have to look out for! You will easily pay more and feel forced into a vehicle if you aren't car shopping savvy. read more

Wouldn't recommend Don Davis if you enjoy customer service AFTER buying a vehicle. Sure you'll get treated right while you're spending money, but as soon as it's spent..good luck! Bought a 2020 Ram in the evening and it was dirty. I thought that's ok, because they said to come back the next day and get it cleaned and detailed. I went back and was told no one was available unless I left it for a day. It's my daily driver so that wasn't an option. I ended up cleaning it all myself only to realize(I assume) the reason they left it dusty inside was there was a few scratches on the gauge cluster in the dash, because when I contacted them about it I was simply told they would do nothing. You'd think when you buy a brand new vehicle there wouldn't be any imperfections in it, most places would make it right. But not Don Davis. Also tried contacting them about questions on my warranty and what I could and couldn't do to the truck and I got the run around and "we'll call back" never did. At the end of the day, the customer service AFTER a purchase is most important and they fall short there. There's other dealerships around that would gladly compete with their prices. Go elsewhere. read more

I will never buy another vehicle from don Davis. I have purchased five vehicles from don Davis dealerships and this is my last. I came in to buy a Jeep Wrangler I saw on the don Davis website. They showed me the jeep and I purchased it. When signing paperwork I noticed the loan term was extended three months and price was 1500$ more than advertised. When I asked about all that they would change the subject and say "oh yeah we will get back to that in just a minute". After telling the finance mgr he washed his hands of it by saying oh well that's all their doing I can't change that. I kept my business there because I have always been treated well and they used to have honest and up front sales and finance staff there. Don't usually like to complain, but want to get the word out. The Don Davis service department is very rude, and will not honor the warranty on my daughters Jeep Cherokee! She took her vehicle in today after scheduling an appointment a week ago. She went without her vehicle all day today, and went to pick up her vehicle at 5:30, and "Ashley" rudely told her and my husband they basically didn't have time to look at her vehicle, so she could make another appointment to possibly have it looked at. The general service manager told her to take it to Chastane in Angleton. Her vehicle is leaking and full of mold. They basically don't want to deal with it since it's a warranty issue. I was shocked at how they treated her. Their reply was that an attempt to repair at another dealership was made, which is a complete lie. My son in law placed two zip ties to try to stop leaking until the vehicle could be taken to the dealership. This should not have prevented any repairs to be made! read more

My mother purchased a car here a year ago. The man who sold her the car was great! Unfortunately days later this brand new car started to shake. She brought it in and was given a rental and told to everything would be looked at. A few days later they called and said everything was fixed. She asked if she could be given another jeep because that left her unsettled having just purchased the car a few days ago and they told her no. Throughout the year the car was brought in multiple times and she was told everything was ok and "you people always find something wrong" from the woman that works in the service department. I was visiting my mother (I live in a different country) and took her car out the car started to shake on the 610 highway in Houston. The car then started to rapidly move back and forth and then broke down in the middle of the highway. I was honestly scared for my life. It was towed to another Don Davis dealership and we were told that the updates for the car were never done and the battery was dead and it had some other issues that weren't common for a car that's only a year old. God forbid it was my mother who is a school teacher was driving that car on her way to would she wouldn't be alive with the how the car started to act. She then reached out to the dealership again and was just given the run around. Don't buy from here they are disgusting. If you really want a jeep go somewhere else to make your purchase. And Do NOT service your car here it will not be handled properly. Out of all the cars that I've had and even when I bring in the one that I have now I have never been treated like how my mother was at this Don Davis location. Again!! Do NOT BUY FROM HERE!
