She actually sent me my order while I was in LA visiting family. Can you imagine anyone caring enough about you as a customer? I certainly can't. Thank you Orwashers for caring so much to mail my favorite bread across the country. You have my sincere loyalty. Bagel consistency was chewy and flavor profiles were light-for example I tasted a hint of the dill cream cheese schmear, hint of smoked salmon, chives, red onion , and lemon zest. Good, but would have liked stronger flavors or more of the ingredients. What shined was the cinnamon Babka! A dense bread with a soft gooey cinnamon goodness in the middle. I ordered some chocolate rugelach, cinnamon rugelach, and cheese & cherry rugelach ($2.75/each, except the larger cheese & cherry ones for $3.50/each). I love, love, love their chocolate rugelach. It's flaky, buttery, chocolately, and tender with some crispy edges. The cinnamon ones were good, but the chocolate ones are my favorite here. The cheese & cherry rugelach were delicious and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness and filling. I've previously had some of their other items, and can also recommend the dark chocolate babka (which I was lucky enough to purchase one time while it was still warm), the pistachio cherry croissant, and the spicy cheese stick. Perfect balance of dough and chocolate. Finished with a beautiful sprinkle of sea salt on top that actually stays on the cookie and is present in every bite. Angelina was the perfect stop except I've been spoiled with the other two locations I've tried that are much larger, appealing and has more variety. This was a pretty hole in the wall location (in comparison to the others) and I wasn't super obsessed with the quality of the doing (again, in comparison to what I already know of Angelina). I'm not sure if they bake everything in house but it does feel more like they get smaller batches of things maybe frozen and then stick them in the oven and fill them. It doesn't taste the freshest, the croissant dough isn't as pillowy, crispy on the outside and full of layers and flakes that I'm regularly used to. I'm always happy eating anything with nutella so that was still a win, wish it was more in line with the regular Angelina experience. Also, they don't have the same amount of things and as extensive of a menu, so just know before you go :) No bathrooms either it seems like!

Flaky on the outside yet soft and custardy on the inside, cheese light and melty slathered all over the tender sliver of ham. Warm, of course, having been pulled out not too long ago from the oven. I walked in and ordered the Matcha Latte Boba, Caramel Egg Tart, Matcha Tiramisu Tart, Coffee Tiramisu Tart at the counter. It didn't take long for the order to be ready and it was all packed in an insulated bag. Inside, there are a few tables and countertop seats. The caramel egg tart is filled with custard core and a caramel aroma, the coffee tiramisu tart has a sponge cake soaked in coffee and layered with cream on a crisp and buttery tart, and the matcha tiramisu tart is made with premium Jingshan matcha powder fully infused into the cake base and layered with smooth cream cheese filling. This is exactly what I got on my first visit. It didn't disappoint. The custard was so rich and creamy - the best egg tart I've ever had. And the crust was flaky and buttery. I also got a bottle of jasmine tea. The tea was smooth and crisp with a light grassy note. The server was friendly and patient. The shop was quite busy on this Sunday afternoon. I'm sure I'll try other baking items or drinks if I come back to this area.
