Best croissants i've found in UES or even Manhattan. Both the plain and chocolate are must tries. They are a bit petit but reasonable price and give cottage vibes isolated away from the rest of UES. Wish I had taken up on their Mother's Day madeleine deals. Sweet service and welcoming staff

Miss Madeleine is on my way to my dentist. At times there's a long line waiting to get inside. Today was quiet and I stopped to take photos before the dentist. After the dentist appointment I returned to eat. They have more than just sweets now so I really enjoyed a Croquet Monsieur. The service is great by a smiling friendly and knowledgeable employee. She knows the ingredients to help me control my allergies. The price is very reasonable. There's plenty of comfortable seats outside but I just stood at the counter to eat. I'm recommending and I'm sure I'll return when there's no line! And if I'm in the neighborhood. There's lots of great food places in the neighborhood.

We are fans of Caneles and have been looking for the best one in NYC for a while. My friends recommended us to give Miss Madeleine a try and we did not regret. Miss Madeleine is super popular in the neighborhood and due to the limited capacity, there is always a long line. You can enjoy the wonderful and appetizing smell of pastries while waiting. We got their Ham & Cheese Croissant, Madeleine, 4 boxes of Caneles and a cup of latte. Their pastries were delicate and amazingly delicious with reasonable price. The layer inside their croissant wasn't crispy, not the way we prefer but is still super soft and puffy. The Caneles, our main purpose of this visit, were the best because of the chewy texture with buttery flavors. We would like to try their quiche and almond croissant next time but we might come at an earlier time to beat the crowd.

This place is one of the many great things about Yorkville! Delicious French pastries (get one of the canelés regardless of what else you get!) and coffee.

I heard they had really good croissants so I went one morning (very early in the morning). There was no line and fresh croissants. They have a variety of flavors but I went with the original. The inside of the croissant is buttery and soft while the outside does have a crunch. I would totally go back.

Glad I wandered in on my morning walk. I got the chocolate twist and it was a great way to start my day. I loved the custard and the flakiness of the dough. Will be back to try the croissants!

There's always a line here. We tried their ham and cheese croissants, Nutella croissants, mushroom quiche and coffee. The ham and cheese was good. Nutella eh. Quiche good, but maybe too creamy, not too much egg for my taste. Coffee (decaf) was good, which was surprising because it didn't look like the kind of place with good coffee. Overall great, but I think I've had better croissants in Argentina (sorry can't compare to Paris lol).

What a wonderful little gem!! I came Monday morning and got one of their strawberry croissants (I don't know of any other place around that has something like that!). It was super good. Very doughy and soft inside with a bit of jam and crispy on the outside (doughy croissants are my fave). And for $3.50, pretty solid. I am totally coming back because there are a bunch of other things I want to try here!! Apparently they have chausson aux pommels on the weekends so I'm gonna have to go back for those :) 11/19: came this morning at around 10:30 to hopefully get the pecan tarts they posted about. Unfortunately I guess they only do that on the weekend (?), but I managed to get the last pumpkin croissant and an apple tart. Both were great.

I stumbled across this place bc I saw pinkies from afar & it looked like a place I needed to be at. This small French pastry place is located in the upper east side and has plenty of French pastries to choose from. On this occasion I settled for madeline, chocolate croissant & canele. I really loved the canele, which I ate before even thinking to take a pic. In my experience, it's hard to get this pastry right! This place does it exceptionally well. The chocolate croissant doesn't fall far behind. It is flaky buttery and the chocolate makes it that much better. My least favorite was the red velvet madeline. It didn't taste freshly baked & it was so dry. There are other selections I wanted to try but for now I was very satisfied with my selections.

Do you need a perfectly flaky perfectly delicious croissant right now?! This is the place for you!! Ever since I discovered this little bakery 2 blocs from my apartment I cant stop going every weekend! Their croissants are so good. I've tried the plain, chocolate, spinach and ricotta, and the ham and cheese and all are incredible! I haven't tried any of their other desserts yet but thats next on the list!!

Super cute little shop with pastries and quiches. They also have croissants, madeleines (duh), and macarons. But I was just here for the coffee as a pick-me-up. Got an iced latte, and it definitely hit the spot. They have some tables and chairs on the street. Swing by on the weekends before or after the farmer's market!

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. Give their drinks a try too. I enjoy their matcha here! The Traffic Lights is a strawberry matcha with a mango cream top. And I also tried their Black Sesame Latte but substituted the espresso for matcha and loved this customized pairing. FYI, there is no bathroom!

Finally decided to try this place after walking by it for years. I refused to try this in the past,…read morebecause I didn't like how many items they put on display. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive.
