Ok small diner- got the 2 eggs, potatoes and toast. Spouse got the Special#4 Nothing to brag about- egss were ok, potatoes 1/2 were cold. Service is lacking- never checked back in after food was delivered and no refills offered on drinks. read more

I was driving thru and decided to stop for breakfast around 9:30am... There was plenty of parking and the place was bustling with patrons. Most tables were full so I sat at the bar not wanting to take up a table of 4. My waitress was there immediately, took my order, and chatted a bit. The rest room was clean and well stocked which I appreciated. There were a few empty tables but filling up quickly. My food arrived hot and aromatic and it was delicious! Pretty good homemade hot meatloaf sandwich, but much better Hot Beef Sandwich with home fried potatoes and gravy! Roast beef straight out of the oven. But skip the Wonder Bread. If you love American diners, this is the place for you! Not much to look at but aren't you there to eat?! George has been in business at this location for 46 years. When we were there, a multigenerational family left the dinner stopping to say goodbye to George and he knew all of the from the oldest to the youngest! They do accept credit cards but the tips are to be in cash. The coffee, which is a staple in the American diner, is delicious and has no bottom! We did breakfast on our visit. I got the bacon and cheese omelet with Italian bread toast that was ENORMOUS. My husband got The George breakfast with three eggs your way, rye toast, ham, and a pancake. Everything was delicious! Lynn was our very attentive waitress where we waited for nothing. She was on top of it. The kitchen was very expedient. Beautiful thing is, they serve breakfast all day (usually open only until 3pm)! Before we left, George brought us a special surprise as it was our first visit. I'm not going to give it away but, if you go, definitely get dessert! read more

Very nice old fashion restaurant with a comfy atmosphere and the food was so great !!!

Food was average at best, but that was the least of this establishment's problems. The server's will walk by you empty cup of coffee a dozen times and never ask you if you would like more. The server will never check on you after you have started your meal to see if it is to your liking or if you require anything else. The server cannot even bring you an extra napkin when asked. Go to McDonalds, the food is the same quality and you will probably get better service. read more

Food is delicious, eggs done perfectly, potatoes done crunchy, toast buttery and sausage links are great. Our server is awesome!! As I sit down, a glass of water and ice tea is put right in front of me. She is the best!! The restaurant is very quiet in the morning and it is an enjoyable place to eat. read more

Stopped he on the way to the PA coin operated HOF. I had French toast with homefries. I was impressed that everything looked (and tasted) that it was prepared for my order. The french toast was very good just slightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. While the homefries were just potatoes (though the table next to me ordered theirs with onions) and some tasted undercooked they were ok. read more

Great local find. Address listed on Yelp was wrong-- took us to a house- but after calling to get the right address we made it. It was a quick stop on our way to the airport. I've eaten here for years and have always had good food and good service. Family owned and run, always very friendly. Great neighborhood diner! .....I don't think that it's really a review if you "heard" that they rinse silverware and don't wear gloves. This is a lower price restaurant. That said it is an excellent place to eat. The food is good and the service is usually excellent. We eat there often and the worst meal I ever was served was good!!!!! The owner always comes by to say hello and when we have the Grandchildren with us ice cream seems to appear if they eat all their food. The waitresses are friendly but not overbearing.
