This bakery popped up on Google Maps, and as soon as I saw how cute the photos were we had to stop in! What a cute downtown area, too, with a tattoo parlor, taco spot, and more all in a walkable distance. There's a parking lot next to the building and out front, so it's easy to get to. The shop itself is SO CUTE! It's decorated with lots of color and funky decor - such a good vibe when you walk in! Today there were hot chocolate bombs, cupcakes, cake cups, and of course lots of cookies to choose from. And the person behind the counter was so, so nice; I'm guessing the owner? I didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable and felt like I was just chatting with a friend. The cookies are HUGE! I loved that literally everything in the store is labeled, so you don't have to constantly ask "what's this" or "what flavor is that." There was a buy five, get one free cookie deal so obviously we had to get six plus a cupcake. It was about $40 but these cookies are at least 2-3 servings, so it's a great price. A few days later and we're still eating them, and they are still perfectly moist. My favorite was the snickerdoodle or the brown butter with a slab of chocolate on top! The cupcake was tiramisu flavored: a delicious moist vanilla cupcake with an espresso/chocolate flavored filling, fluffy frosting, and a soaked ladyfinger on top. YUM! You should definitely stop here! I know we will be back. read more

I have been an Odd Cookie Bakery ride or die since the very beginning - from Ana's first shop in Sacramento! While I have yet to visit the new location in Penngrove, she did come back into town last night for a pop-up! I ordered the Break My Heart Why Dontcha Cupcake, an Oatrageous Cookie, a This Cookie Is Bananas, a Bonfire Cookie, a Choco-Lot Cookie and She Works Hard For The Honey Cookie. Not only are the cookies the size of a Buick, but they are soft and filled with so many complexed flavors that make them stand out from all the rest. Oh, and how can I forget all of the creative themes and names she comes up with?! Ana is just such a warm and inviting person and it really shows in her baking and dedication to her shop and customers. Her shop is also very colorfully vivid and bright (just like it was in Sacramento) and I can't wait to see it in person again one day! Odd Cookie Bakery is located right in downtown Penngrove, and they are crafting up some delicious desserts! Right when you walk in there is a large case full of over 20+ cookies and other desserts. There's a wide variety of creative flavors. The cookies are only $5 a piece and they are huge. You can easily split them with people or enjoy them yourself too. I ordered the mint to be (mint chocolate cookie) as well as the monster snickerdoodle. Both were very soft and chewy and had great flavor. I loved the mint to be cookie and will come back just for this cookie and also to try more flavors and desserts. On weekend they also offer cupcakes and had four options during my visit. They also had additional sweet treats in the fridge as well as the dubai cookie. That cookie looked delicious and full of all the goods!    You can tell they have fun at Odd Cookie and also focus on providing high quality desserts. I am a fan and will be back to visit again soon!  The staff was very helpful in answer questions and talking about the desserts. The shop is very cute and Instagram worthy. There is no seating inside besides a bench so I'd recommend taking your sweet treats to go. read more

I actually discovered this business on Instagram and was super intrigued by the creative and fun flavor combos. The owner recently tended to my custom order for Valentine's Day. This lil bakery has been on my list for a while although for some reason I kept thinking about it on Sundays which is the only pecans day she's closed. So finally made a date with a girlfriend to go here on Saturday! Whew so many cookies to choose from. Owner Baker is so incredibly creative! I almost felt bad starting with classics. Oatmeal raisin for hubs and oatmeal chocolate with pecans for me. My friend got the circus animal cookie and she was on cloud 9, it has a cookie topping the cookie! Well a few days later I found myself in the area again to meet another friend for her birthday so that warrants more cookies of course! I got her a "She works hard for the honey," Snicker doodle with nuts and a honey drizzle! Luckily she shared it with me because it was deeeelicious! Got hubs a Snicker doodle and he loved it. I went for the classic chocolate chip, because I was advised that the smore cookie I was eyeing was not a good one to eat in the car and well car cookie was required that day. Next time! Because there most definitely will be a next time! If you get 5 cookies, she throws in a 6th cookie! Woo hoo! I'm trying to save money and be kinda healthy so I stuck to one cookie a person. Super cute place. You're greeted with a wonderful aroma of freshly baked cookies upon opening the door. We were greeted by Anna with a variety of humongous, gorgeous cookies. These thick-style cookies blew my mind. She makes so many different flavored cookies, and also has brownies, rice crispy treats and what appeared to be cold cake cups in the little refrigerator display. I couldn't resist, had to buy a stack (12) of cookies for my coworkers (all different flavors) for the upcoming holiday break. After seeing nothing but positive reviews about this place, I had to try it. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and was immediately greeted by the owner who is extremely nice. The display case was filled with a variety of cookies making it hard to decide which one to get. i ended up buying half a dozen and took them home to eat. OMG these cookies are delicious. This is the cutest little shop that puts out some amazing creations. My wife got me a berry cake for my birthday. It was so tasty. The berries were gorgeous and at the peak of freshness. The icing was not overwhelmingly sugary. The pairing was delicious. They even made a homemade jammy center/filing between the layers. Oh my!!! They could sell this alone. Amazing. It's unusual to find a place that nails it so well on ambiance, staff friendliness, and food quality, but this place hits all 3 out of the park. The cookies are large and delicious, and come in a wide variety. The cookies tend to be crumbly and nice and chewy, so if you're looking for a crumbl-type hyperglycemia experience that melts at room temperature, this isn't going to be it. But if you want a truly wonderful cookie that fills you up and makes you smile, this is the place for you. If you aren't a cookie person, this place has the most delightful cake sundaes in a cup in a rotating variety of flavors that are just as incredible. As far as ambiance and friendliness go, the owner is an absolutely lovely person and talking to her is always a bonus treat. As someone with food allergies, the owner's knowledge of the baked goods for sale is extremely comforting. The shop itself is adorable, and the music choice is always excellent. If you have kids, this is the place to take them after they get an A on their test. If you're trying to impress someone, this is where you go to get them a gift. When Odd Cookie was in Sacramento....it became my absoulte favorite place. The cookies were as big as your face, the cupcakes had themes to them (who in their right mind would not eat a cupcake that have Prince or Dolly Parton themes), had killer food & amazing service. Then sadly....OC closed. But luckily for me....OC has reopened in the North Bay area, and is only a 5 minute drive from my in-laws. But it is not like I wouldn't make the drive on a hub bub to Penngrove/Petaluma just to get treats cause I would. The cookies are still as big as your face, the cupcakes are still good & themed every so often, and you get the same amazing service you would get before. Didn't end up purchasing as I needed a dozen - but WILL make my way back here for a treat when I need! Staff was utterly friendly, baked goods looked delicious and fresh. A few years ago I got kind of obsessed with finding the best cupcake ever! I found it in a small place in Cotati that closed forever very quickly after I discovered it. I was devastated. Ever since then I have been searching for a cupcake that is even comparable. I recently found Odd Cookie Bakery and let me tell you that Odd Cookie's cupcake surpasses that cupcake by leaps and bounds! I got the "This Cupcake is Bananas" which is a heavenly, perfectly moist vanilla cake filled with banana pudding and fresh banana chunks which were ripe and yellow, topped with VANILLA PUDDING BUTTERCREAM and a banana cookie!!! Hands down the best cupcake I have ever had! And I have had a lot of cupcakes (see first sentence lol). If banana is not your jam they have other incredible flavor options! I highly suggest following her on Instagram so you can see all of the incredible offerings at this establishment as cupcakes are specials and not available every day! Finding the best cupcake ever was a surprise though as it was originally the cookies that what made me want to go here in the first place! Odd Cookie Bakery is a small business located in Penngrove.
