I went into this one expecting something solid given the price point, but it missed the mark for me. The draw was the first issue. It was tight and inconsistent, which made it hard to enjoy from the start. I had to fight it the whole way through, and that alone takes you out of the experience. Flavor-wise, it didn't redeem itself. The profile was flat and underwhelming, with no real development. Instead of evolving, it just kind of sat there and leaned toward a harsh, dull finish. Nothing memorable, nothing that made me want to keep going. At around $28 after tax, this one felt like a miss. You expect better construction and at least some complexity at that price, and it just wasn't there. Location: Belmont Shore is always a vibe but even the lounge itself felt tired. A few recliners inside, TVs, no drinks. Getting to sit outside and people watch is the best thing about this place. Final thoughts: Bad draw, weak flavor, and not worth the price. My last review of this establishment was unflattering and accusatory, without me knowing a damn thing I was talking about. In reality, the owner, Josue, is kind and down-to-earth. He sells really premium, hard to find cigars. He also sells a "house blend" that isn't really as generic as it sounds. The house blend tobacco is from his family's farm in Nicaragua and hand-rolled by a cigar roller from Cuba. Go by sometime and treat yourself. read more

I came to Don Lupe's last week with my boyfriend. We walked in, and there were no employees around, so we helped ourselves. We were ready to pay, and there was still no employees in sight. Finally, after what seemed like more than 10 minutes of standing around, a guy came out that looked like he was drunk and half asleep. He was slurring his words, and I had a hard time understanding him. I think he was high as a kite. This was extremely offputting and not the best way to welcome customers in. The ambience was nice, and the location is great, but not sure I'll come back due to the poor level of service that we received. Please consider hiring better help read more

Gentleman was nice but tried to sell his own house cigar most. Asked about Cubans and told him every lounge I buy them from are not genuine sticks. He said his were and I suspected false but was willing to give him trust. Paid the price, decided to smoke it there in case it was fake. It was of course fake. Told the gentleman as much and wished him luck and he said god bless. Basically found a cheap enough way to know never to bother with this place again. Sports are important. But so is the walk-in humidor with too many options to count. I've never done serious cigar shopping before, so it was a delight to get some advice on what to puff on. Even though I'm partial to more peppery aromas, I tried the more mellow house blend. Apparently, it's hand-crafted in Nicaragua, and ended up being some of the best $10 I've spent. "Inhale it through your nose," the affable staff suggested. "you'll love it." Pure olfactory excitement. I can only describe the 1/2 cigar I finished as smooth and sweet. What a mellow experience. Super chill spot with a wide variety of cigars to choose from. I would say this lounge is for a more mature crowd. It's a place to socialize and relax. The environment is appears to be more of a man cave but I didn't mind that. They guys were friendly and respectable. They don't serve alcohol which was a bit of a downer but I understand the reasonings behind not having it. Very nice establishment. I was ignored by the guy at the counter as I walked into the humidor. The reason, he was too busy staring at the football game. I walked out of the humidor, got his attention, brought him in and asked for a suggestion and his only response was to get a Fuente, nothing more, nothing less. I rolled to the cash register with him, paid up and was offered a bag, but I declined. I wanted to light up and be on my way after a little small talk. His idea of small talk was "There's a cutter and a lighter on the counter." and he walked away. I thought he must have pressing business...
