My friends and I had such a good time here! We came on a Friday afternoon but a few of us came early to grab a table around 7/7:30 to get some drinks and food. I'm so glad we did because it was shoulder to shoulder by the time 9 came around and the line to get in was extremely long. I was obsessed with their fries! I almost ate the whole plate by myself. I also really enjoyed the drink "What a Prick" and their Espresso Martini which I believe goes by a different name on the menu but it was really tasty. The wings were just okay and didn't really have a ton of flavor but I don't think most people come for the food anyways. Just as a heads up, there is a possibility that a group could reserve your table at anytime. So if you want to keep the table, you'll need to buy it or be prepared to get booted in case another party decides to purchase it first. 4 stars for the wings and just the crowd was a lot in my opinion. If I didn't have a table and had to walk around I'm not sure how people would actually dance or lounge (at least in the outdoor area) but I had such a fun time here! The DJ was playing great music, it felt age appropriate (20s to mid-30s) and overall it had a great vibe. I'll need to try them out on a Sunday :)

Every time I go to the Bungalow it's a great time! My friends and I got there early in the evening on a Friday around 7:30pm. It was perfect because it was no line to get in and we could find a seat and order food and drinks. The waitress we had was very nice and attentive. We got appetizers for the table including fries and spicy wings. Both were pretty tasty! Around 9pm it gets extremely crowded. The DJ starts to play and it turns into a club vibe. Highly recommend getting there early to find a seat but keep in mind if someone buys a table you may have to move. It was a great time!

My friends and I had a great this at this restaurant. We arrived early so I feel like our experience was different than what the other reviews may be but I would absolutely come back. My friends and I came to the Bungalow around 6 pm and were able to get a table overlooking the pier. We were able to park across the street and had no issues finding a spot. This place has a homey vibe to get it and I appreciated the different rooms and spaces people could occupy. The music was great and we didn't feel at all cramped in the space. Food and drinks were great! I ordered the sangria which was delicious and my friend got the pigs in the blanket. The only negative was that there was glass on the floor near our seating area. They had no issue cleaning it up but it was definitely a hazard. This place is great and if people visiting wouldn't mistreat it, that would make it even better.

Great place to hangout with friends. Its more of a bar and lounge, rather than a restaurant, though they have decent food too. We went on a Saturday evening with friends. There are many different places to sit and chill. The decor is beautiful. We opted for the patio and watched the sunset over the bay. The DJ was cool and did a great playlist. She even played a few oldies at my request. The staff are friendly and helpful. We left at 8 pm, before it got super crowded. I would definitely recommend as one of the best places of it's kind in the area and definitely better than the HB or SM location.

Great spot to hang out and decent food.. good vibes. But don't ever give them your email.. you will get an email EVERY SINGLE DAY as an assault on your inbox. It's excessive and a turn off. #unsubscribe

Checked out Sunday GOLDEN HOUR * they got rid of their regular kitchen menu. They have pretty much bar food choices, but quite a few items to choose from. Music was hittin', crowd eventually multiplied as the day went, service & staff are friendly & accommodating; RSVP to get a table! Exiting/paying the ticket was a hassle!!

BEWARE OF RIPOFF!!!!!! I went on a Saturday night with 4 friends. The place is nice and the ambiance is cool which earned it a an extra star. BUT the bartenders are scammers. I had a gratuity already added on to my drink receipt and then they gave me a receipt to give them an EXTRA tip. If I didn't look closely I would've gave even more. They are ready to prey on drunk patrons. If they see you drunk they will take advantage I was observing them. On another occasion, they said 2 vodka redbulls was $30. Another bartender said 3 vodka redbulls was $36, doesn't add up! ALSO- do not pay cash at the bar they will not give you a receipt and you won't even know how much you paid. Shame on management for allowing bartenders to take advantage of people!!

I usually go to the Huntington Beach location but I was pleasantly surprised to how much nicer this location was. Not only was it bigger, but the crowd seemed more open to having fun. There was also three different bars so not everyone is crowding and the lines go faster. The tequila they offer, however, is just as bad as the other location. The DJ is also somehow worse than the one in Huntington Beach, and I didn't think that was possible. We didn't let that stop us from having fun and we had a great time.

Food, service, and ambiance were great! We ordered the chicken wings with buffalo sauce on the side and ranch. The ice cream sandwich was incredible and there were three ice cream and cookie flavors to choose from. It was a very mixed-age crowd for a Friday night but they have a DJ and several bars in each room, which makes it feel like a large beach house party.

I definitely prefer the vibe here over the Huntington Beach location, especially at night the mood just hits different. Drinks are decent, nothing mind blowing. Service could be better though felt like I had to get their attention a few times. Came on a Thursday night and most of the servers were hanging around the bar instead of checking tables.

Long Beach's premier open-air lounge in my humble opinion! As someone in my 30s I love going on Sundays after 4pm as there's always a nice mixed crowd for chill day party vibes. The DJ sets are always great and I love their selection of cocktails. I'm known to get a bottle of Prosecco and enjoy catching up with friends overlooking the Alamitos Bay. The staff is always upbeat, personable and willing to make sure you have a great time!

so funny that it's within a shopping centre/ mall lolol i think i did like the vibes of this location more than huntington beach (more chill) because it was energetic and crazylitmovie :P

I met my ex at the bungalow. The we got back together at the bungalow. Awww Aight so I'm just a chill OC guy, so I've been to the HB pacific city location like more times than I've been to church (in my whole lifetime) and it's probably my favorite place to go perrearrr, drink and meet pretty people. Let's face it, it's not like OC has much in terms of nightlife. And ever since Mesas epic tragic downfall due to its dog poop mgmt, nasty clientele and just overall boring and shitty vibes ...that really only leaves Bungalow and the whaler at least in the coastal area. But we're not here to talk about boring basic ass OC. We are here to talk about this lovely ratchet and hella diverse location. The energy feels completely different than HB and that's surprisingly the intrigue and value proposition here. Good music, spacious, unpredictable, slightly ghetto and ohh they serve food here. What's not to love? Yeah, definitely a good spot cus so so so many bars / nightclubs in Long Beach are more on the unpalatable side. This one is good. Salud

My cousins and I got there around 9 p.m. on a Friday. It was steady, but when we went up for our first drinks the bar itself wasn't very busy--there were maybe two people in front of us and two behind us. I mention this because it matters for context. My cousin ordered two drinks, one for him and one for his girlfriend. We were talking and at some point I looked at his girlfriend's drink, which was already about halfway empty, and noticed a fairly large crack running across one side of the glass, right above where the remainder of her drink was. I said, "Hey, your glass has a significant crack in it," and she laughed it off and said she noticed and was just drinking from the other side. I told her she absolutely should not do that because there was already a chip near the rim and there could potentially be tiny pieces of glass in the drink. I also told her we needed to bring it to the bartender's attention because that's a legitimate safety issue. Someone who isn't paying attention could cut their lip or potentially ingest glass. By the time we went back up to the bar, it had gotten quite a bit busier. We explained what happened to the bartender and he asked if we got the drink there. We said yes and pointed out the female bartender who had originally served us. He asked what the drink was, walked away, served a few other people, and eventually brought us a replacement. We were completely patient. We understood that the bar was busier at this point, we weren't rude, and we weren't upset about having to wait. What bothered me was when he handed us the replacement and said, "Next time you need to let us know when it happens." That response really rubbed me the wrong way. It's not the customer's responsibility to inspect a glass before drinking from it, and obviously we would have said something sooner if we had noticed it sooner. Considering the bar wasn't particularly busy when the drink was originally made, I was also surprised that a crack that significant wasn't noticed before the glass was served. I did take a photo of the bartender afterward because I wanted to make sure I could identify the person involved when I brought the interaction to management's attention. I spoke with the person who identified himself as the manager and explained what happened. He said he would speak with the bartender, but the response also felt somewhat dismissive given that my concern was ultimately about customer safety and how the situation was handled. Accidents happen and glasses crack. Had the drink simply been replaced and the concern acknowledged appropriately, I honestly probably wouldn't be writing this review. It was the combination of being served a visibly cracked glass, being told that we should have notified them sooner, and then feeling like the concern wasn't taken particularly seriously when I brought it to management that ultimately prompted me to leave an honest review. Beautiful property and amazing view, but the way this situation was handled definitely left a bad impression.
