Great food, great people. My family loves the Pad Thai, Tom Kha, Pho and glad to have it in our backyard to go often.

While the lady who takes orders is lovely, this is the most Americanized Thai food I've ever had. That's not why I get Thai. I don't want dumbed down ethnic food, I want it to be authentic. I got summer rolls & a small veggie Tom Kha Gai soup. I got everything to go. I went to my iron infusion at Vanderbilt Hendersonville then waited until I was hooked up & alone to eat. When I saw my food I was kinda shocked. $20 for about six bites of summer rolls & five to six tablespoon fulls of soup was disappointing. These rolls are the smallest I've ever seen. There was so much rice paper & so little filling! The soup was not a favorite either as it was extremely sweet. Tom Kha can be sweet, but this was like sugary milk water. There were hardly any veggies in the tiny styrofoam cup as well. All in all, the best part of this experience was the lady who took my order. This place hit the spot. Everything was fresh, delicious, and perfect after a long drive from Florida to Tennessee. They really had great summer rolls, which lately have been a miss when I've ordered them out at other places. The Tom Kha soup was just OK, and the fried rice was amazing. I checked out this spot about seven years back, and let me tell you, the food was seriously awesome back then. Fast forward to today, and I'm happy to say it still bursts with those amazing Thai flavors that you just can't forget. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone craving authentic, tasty eats! I went today for my daughter's birthday. She suggested the dry fried beef appetizer. I thought it was tasty. I ordered the fried potstickers and also thought they were good. I had the green curry chicken at a 3 star spice level. I thought it was very good. My wife had a combo pho and was not very happy with it. She thought the beef was tough. Being Asian, I think it's a default stereotype that I'm supposed to like Asian cuisine. Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Mongolian, etc. I like it all. What I don't like is how in Sumner County, my choices are extremely limited. Down when I lived/worked in Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin, I had a plethora of options to choose from! I was reconnecting with an old high school buddy of mine on Facebook and come to find out, he lives in Hendersonville too. So we talked about places to meet up and eat and he asked if I like pho. I'm like "Are you serious? I will take a bath in pho if I could." He suggested Eating Thai, which is a favorite spot of his. What's crazy is I never knew it was there. I've been to Moore's Spicy Chicken and never paid attention to the other stores in the strip. Eating Thai is your basic hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Limited seating, owned by immigrant Asians with boxes/storage up front in the seating area (Asians don't care about presentation, heck my dad's store is like that). Although the restaurant is "Thai", they do have pho and is the only place that I now know of that does around here. I typically get the beef and meatball pho. While it's not as good as other places I've had it (like Vui's Kitchen, which has it for the same price) it is tasty and hits the spot. Think... Post Fruity Pebbles vs Kroger generic Crispin Fruity Rice. It's similar but you know it's not like the other. But don't let that discourage you! I go to Eating Thai about once a week. I have had other entrees, such as the spring roll (yum), Pad Thai (it's OK), and red curry (good). But I keep coming back to the pho. read more

I stumbled upon this place on the way home last night. I was craving Thai food and looked up and saw a sign, saying, simply Thai. I was not disappointed with the food. Hands down the best Thai food in the area!! The hole in the wall restaurant is in a run down strip mall with very limited seating. Most of their business is take out. I've eaten here over and over for the past three years and never had a bad meal. Food is authentic and chef's are superb. The pad Thai, red curry, and green curry are all excellent choices. If you like tofu, it's cooked to perfection here! Lunch portions are slightly smaller and come with soup and egg roll. Lunch portions are around $10, which is certainly reasonable in today's world. Again, the ambiance is lacking but you will forget all about what the place looks like when you bite into the flavorful food. Yum yum!!
