Both were excellent. The guacamole was fresh, bright, and clearly made with care. Nothing felt like an afterthought. What stood out most was the experience. The chef came out to check on our dinner personally. That kind of attention tells you something about the people behind the food. Mezkla sits right near the new theater strip on West 8th, and they're already expanding their dining room. Growth like that doesn't happen by accident. It happens when the food is good, the service is genuine, and people keep coming back. If you're in the mood for excellent Mexican cuisine in Holland, give Mezkla a serious look. We'll be back.

The staff was so friendly and helpful and service was excellent! Also the price was very reasonable! The breakfast tacos were delicious! I got the chorizo and egg and the potato and egg and used their homemade salsa on both. They were nice and hot still when I got home (they were wrapped in foil) and tasted so good!! My burrito morino which I usually get had 1/4 of the salad it normally had and if there was a TEASPOON yes teaspoon of sour cream and quac that was generous estimate. The steak fajitas were just ok. The flour tortillas seemed to be left over from yesterday as they were brownish and dry. Guess we have to find another Mexican restaurant.

The two waiters have been our best experience while the waitresses seem more interested in talking with each other rather than servicing their tables. It was so bad this time, we were seated and nobody came to take our drink or food order. I finally waived down a waiter to help us. I would think with food of this caliber, this restaurant would be packed all the time. But with service this inconsistent is likely holding them back. Hopefully the manager will see this and do some training.
