Vegetarian Burrito Bowl
Kitty L.

My friend and I had the Chicken Enchilada/Chile Relleno Combo and a Vegetarian Burrito Bowl, and they were both outstanding! The food tasted so fresh and delicious, and the presentation was delightfully beautiful! The owners and their children, who served us, immediately greeted and welcomed me, warmly as a new customer and warmly welcomed back my friend, who's a regular! I was impressed with their warmth and hospitality and felt very comfortable there. The owner was so gracious to treat us to a dessert of sopapias! I actually love their family's restaurant in Santa Rosa, Taqueria on Montecito Blvd. and am a regular there since it's very near my home! That is one of the best Mexican restaurants I know of! Will be back here, again!

Skinny margaritas

I'm amazed by the deco inside with the festive music and lots of piñata related things around. It's just fun to look at while eating. Skinny margaritas has lots of fresh lime juice. If you can't tell from the picture, let me emphasize that it's a huge glass. I can't finish it but I love it! The shrimp dish I ordered was fresh and not greasy. I felt it's like homemade food that I can eat often without feeling guilty!

Taco de lengua, taco de cabeza missing some meat lol

Quick service, very prompt to take order and bring out drinks. Good music, clean restrooms. My son loved his quesabirrias he said great cheese/meat portion. My tacos were ok I didn't like the salsa or the fat in the meat and left half of one taco...

Cheese mole enchiladas & chile rellenoe with double refried beans/ no rice.

I finally made it in to Don Pancho's. Friends have recommended it to me & I wanted to order my favorite combo plate, chile rellenoes & cheese mole enchiladas. The restaurant is traditionally decorated and the vibe was cheerful & cozy. The rellenoes were delicious as were the enchiladas. I might ask them not to put as much cheese on top next time but I still enjoyed it. The salsas were well seasoned meaning if you are sensitive to salt, some of the salsas might be an issue for you. I liked them, I am a chef so I don't mind salt. The chips were good and so was the salsa verde they served alongside them. I had horchata which was standard & tasty & I ordered flan for dessert. I believe they used a custard mix which is not my favorite but it was plated beautifully with the option of whipped cream & chocolate sauce. I had mine plain & ended up taking it togo since the portions served were quite hearty. The service was excellent & I was cheerfully greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Service was attentive and kind throughout my entire meal. I will definitely return to try some other dishes & the strawberry margarita!

Pretty tasty. Chile verde was nice and the nachos were tasty although the nachos could have used more cheese and beans

A Great Lunch Stop with Amazing Tacos and Fresh Flavors!…read more We stopped at Quiote in downtown Petaluma for a quick lunch while en route to Oregon. The restaurant has decent seating inside, and the staff are incredibly friendly. A really nice touch, especially for hot summer days, is that each table gets complimentary diced chilled watermelons to start. The food was fantastic from start to finish: * Tortilla Chips & Salsa: We ordered their special house-made tortilla chips, which came with green and spicy salsa dips. They were fresh, crispy, and highly flavorful. Definitely highly recommended! * Carne Asada Tacos: This was my absolute favorite taco. The steak was one of the best I've had, and the flavors were awesome. * Grilled Cod Fish Tacos: Our second favorite was the fresh grilled cod fish tacos, which were absolutely fantastic. * Chicken and Shrimp Tacos: We also ordered the chicken and special shrimp tacos, which my wife and kids loved. * Rice and Beans: My kiddos got a side of rice and beans, and they were very flavorful. * Flan: For dessert, we ordered the flan. It came topped with a unique whipped cream infused with orange flavor, which was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or in the area!

Is this the Best Mexican restaurant in Sonoma County?…read more Don't let the simple, unfussy interior fool you -- Quiote is quietly doing some of the most exciting Mexican cooking in the Bay Area. This family-run Jalisco-style spot in downtown Petaluma sources quality ingredients (heirloom maize, Rancho Gordo beans, fresh local seafood), and it shows in every bite. And, of course, the staff is warm, personable, and genuinely happy to walk you through the menu -- take them up on it. Guac & Salsa -- I've had a lot of chips. These might be the best I've ever had. The raspadas are the move here: thin, crispy, shatteringly light corn chips with a texture unlike anything you'd expect. Not your standard tortilla chip -- closer to something airier and more delicate. The guac and salsa alongside are equally solid. Molotes -- Traditional Mexican street snack: golden, torpedo-shaped corn masa dough fried crisp on the outside, packed with savory filling (think potato, chorizo, cheese), and served with salsa and crema. The exterior crunch giving way to the warm filling is deeply satisfying. Highly recommended. Tacos ($7.50 each) -- Yes, $7.50. And yes, worth it. The 100% maiz handmade tortillas are the foundation everything is built on, and they're exceptional. I worked through a lot of the menu and didn't find a miss -- al pastor, barbacoa, cochinita pibil, carne asada, fish -- all executed with care. If you're not sure where to start, just ask. The staff knows the menu cold and will point you right. Quiote isn't trying to be flashy. It's trying to be correct -- and it nails it. One of the best Mexican meals I've had, full stop.
