Opened early December 2023 and excited we finally got a chance to check them out! The January menu was saying all the right things. We got there just before 5pm for our reservation and waited outside but turns out we could have gone inside if I used a little more muscle on the door ;) What an atmosphere to behold! Only 5 tables in this amazing space. The music, decor, and mood had us right away. Everyone is welcoming and gracious. Only just being seated and we were. already thinking of the next time we could return. You're taken to a different place and a different time. It's a joyful experience. Adam their sommelier is knowledgeable and charming. The dishes were all thoughtfully prepared and timed perfectly. Each dish was our new favorite. We could not be more pleased with the quality of food and service, and the genuinely kind people just made us feel like life could not be better than tonight. Highly recommend getting the wine pairing and I'm trying to figure how to get here once a month to check out the new menus! Book it!

We have come to seek out Chef's Tastings menu (prix -fixe menus) and wine pairings dinners. It's something we enjoy doing as a couple for special occasions. Not sure how come all the raving reviews but here's our honest opinions for those that would have like a bit more discerning thoughts and review. First off, cute little place. Small intimate setting. Kind of dimly lit ambiance, hence the dark pics of tastings. The folks running the service here are very nice. Service is mindful and sweet as to be expected for this type of setup. Now about the food..., it's average to good.., not mind blowing like some reviewers are expressing. Pics of the dishes will not fully show the accurate size of the "tastings". Let's just say it's definitely bordering on very, very small 2-3 little bites of each plate. Mind you, we have had many other prefixed menus/ Chef's Tastings experiences, and we're not about quantity. It's what our experiences overall, that we like to share our honest feedback. As for the quality/tastes of each plating, we can say, we've had much, much better at some other fine Italian restaurants. Not mad about our experience. Just wanted others to maybe feel it out from our experience here. Also, don't set your expectations so high from reading all the raving 4-5 stars reviews on here, like we did, then you won't be let down or left confused & disappointed like were. Cheers!

Finally made time to try this new amazing small neighborhood eatery in Beaverton....April 2024 menu!! Exceeded expectations and a warm warm welcomed addition to a vastly growing food scene in Beaverton!! Husband and wife tandem bringing elevated Italian/ French cuisine with a carefully selected pre fix menu and definitely recommend the half glass wine pairing!!! As seen in photos....But please pardon the amateur and poor photography!!! Food looks and taste waaaaay better!! Highly recommended! Super easy reservations and monthly menu changes so definitely something for everyone!! Parking can be a challenging but talk about a diamond in the rough!!! Pricing is way way under market and an incredible value so please go and support these wonderful owners!!

Beaverton has been waiting for a place like this for years and it has finally arrived. A prix- fixe menu with reserved seatings only, gentle music, a small intimate venue with a lovely atmosphere and decor and outstanding food. Upscale without being pretentious! We were greeted by Adam the sommelier (Don was stuck by the ice and snow and not available last night) who prepares and serves their selection of wines. Our food was prepared by two Cordon Bleu trained chefs who attended to the minutest details of each course and confection. Each to die for. We gave them a round of applause at the end of our meal. Don's menu changes and is issued a month in advance so February 2024 offerings including a vegetarian night and reservations are available now. We are new fans for sure! Parking is on the street.

Happened upon Don's Favorite Foods from a quick Google search for Italian restaurants in the Portland area, and I'm so glad I did! The service was incredibly personable--everyone made us feel right at home. We had the 7-course Feast of the Seven Fishes with wine pairings, and everything was delicious. The crab manicotti was definitely the highlight for me. The space is small and cozy, which made for a fun, intimate vibe. Don's is a must-try if you're looking for a unique reservation only, Italian restaurant experience.

Sunday morning at 11am my husband and I got a seat at the bar. It was pretty busy. As usual the fresh croissant was amazing, flakey, and buttery. I had the chefs omelette for the first time. It was exactly as I wanted it and the hash browns were nice and crunchy. My husband had the corned beef hash and it was so flavorful and delicious. I will order that next time. I was treated crappily by staff who I observed saying my order was not their responsibility. Not everyone there was bad. The initial service I got was good, but my coffee was so poorly slapped together because I spoke up. My sandwich was also slapped together missing ingredients I paid for, so enjoy the extra money I guess. Here's how the interaction went. I was assured my mocha would be ready in a few minutes, before my food, from a really nice staff person who too my to-go order. They instructed me where to stand. I watched the person put together my mocha. All that was needed was ice. My food came out quickly and I took it while waiting for my drink. 15 minutes passed. Two staff members looked at my drink and one said "who put this here " and another person said "I don't know, not my problem". I spoke up and said "hey that's my drink and if you put ice in it, I promise I'll get out of your way" - it was busy and packed. I was trying to be understanding. One of them made a disgusted face at me and said "I was gonna put ice in it!!!" ... wow. Eventually they did. And did it so sloppily that there was mocha all over the drink. The top was put on poorly and the drink spilled all over me. I tried to tell another server who was greeting and seating people but they kept saying "oh it's okay! It's totally fine" - no, it actually isn't. I get it. You don't want my business of 15+ years, but there are nicer ways of conveying that. I was ripped off and treated in a way I don't treat my enemies. But just like my order, that's "not your problem", right?

Mainly due to one INCREDIBLY rude employee, who i am going to assume is the manager, or something close, considering she was the only one in plain clothes, and not in a uniform or server outfit. This woman was an absolute walking nightmare. First off, we came in around 1pm. Mind you, this location closes at 3pm. So immediately, after we walked in, we stood there for a good minute or so before one of the FIVE employees, including nightmare manager lady, who were standing on, in or around the front counter ask "table for two?".. as the manager slowly grabbed our menus to hand to the server, i immediately noticed she had an attitude. Almost like she was annoyed we were coming to eat.. I shook it off, we sat down. We had our small dog in a stroller, so we had asked to eat outside. The outside area was busy. It is a sunny 70+ degree day so we asked for as much shade as we could get. The server pointed us towards a table with one half completely in the sun. We pointed to the 3-4 tables behind us that were in full shade. The server said they just closed that section. Umm ok, but, not the severs fault that the available tables were in the sun.. so, ok, no problem. We sat down. It took our server a while to get to us, but she was hustling and doing very her best. When she got to us she was gracious and very friendly. She was also very accommodating when we ask for our meal to be split to share. I wish i had gotten her name because she was the only nice part of our experience today and she was a lovely young lady. So, as we waited for our food, my mother was getting uncomfortable in the direct sun. I offered to switch seats, but she just tried to move her chair more to the side, towards the inner isle. Nightmare manager whips out of the door and VERY rudely, and loudly, barks at my 74yr old mother "mam, that's just not going to work! It's too narrow in here!" Everyone looked at us as she yelled this at my mother. At this point, most of the tables outside were emptying. So i said "could we maybe switch tables? She's just very uncomfortable in the sun." this nightmare of a human throws her hand up at us, like IN OUR FACES, and in a very annoyed voice says "you gotta give me a minute " and darts past us. We were floored. My mom and I look at each other like "huh?!?" There is now very few people left in the entire restaurant, inside or out. So it was pretty clear it was less about being busy and more that she was simply in "i want to close up and go home" mode. But hey, food service can be stressful, i get that. What i don't get is yelling at customers like they're your five year old. At this point the servers are wiping down the tables and stacking chairs. Mind you, it's only been roughly 20 min. So it's about 1:30pm.. again, they close at 3pm. But they were all clearly in shut down mode.. So when nightmare manager lady doesn't come back, we asked another server if we could move. She looks around at the empty tables, that are now 100% in the shade, and is like "ummmmmmmm, sure?" I said "great!" Got up and move to the shadiest table. Then nightmare manager whips outside again, and, as we are picking up our our silverware and water cups, this woman shoves next to my mom, who fumbling with her water glass, purse and silverware, and begins wiping the table down before we even retrieved our things. She says nothing to us. Her body language was aggressive and she was obviously very annoyed. Annnnnd that's when I called it. We hadn't even received our food. We got up and left, while I chipped "you can tell them to just throw our food away. You've been incredibly rude and we're done" and we left. This woman ruined a lovely Sunday afternoon i was spending with my mother. She was annoyed and rude the second we interacted with her. She may be stressed out, but to treat customers with such obvious distain, is unacceptable. This woman clearly can't handle the pressure.. so i HIGHLY recommend they get her out of the kitchen, LITERALLY! To this nightmare woman, i am so sorry we annoyed you with our business today. Don't worry, we will not be back..

Didn't upsell anything. She didnt do bad, just did her job and nothing extra, but I still tipped 20%. I came for the tiramisu french toast. $1 add on for caramelized bananas. It DID NOT disappoint. This was good. Not too sweet. Its one huge slab of a loaf. Good portion that I couldnt finish because I was too busy snacking from my daughter plate. Corned beef hash plate.. reel corned beef, cooked perfectly with just enough crispy ends and tasty goodness. Perfectly fried potato hash browns. Sour creme and sunny side up eggs with onions and bell peppers. Soo good! The chef omelette was a good size too. 3 eggs. Avocado wedge on top. My husband stry8ng to eat healthier, so this was great. Good amount of cheese as well. He mopped it up real quick Tatin apple crepes. The young teen had these and shes picky. She said it was okay. I tried it and it was great. Not too sweet. If you like apple anything, this is definitely a need to try. Mimosa flight... 4 drinks. You can choose from a variety of choices. I tried the following: mango, strawberry, guava, and passion fruit. They were more champagne than the fruit infusion. So of the 4, the strawberry had the most flavor but could use more flavor to it. The other 3 needed more fruit flavor according to my taste buds, maybe there was just more champagne instead, so im good with that too, haha. Overall a good experience and will come back again to try some other items and maybe go home with something from the bakery too (the croissant as a side came to the table and it was huge, flakes and moist! So we went to town on ordering a few things: Half a dozen of oysters-super fresh, small and briny served on salt plate. They included a house made hot sauce that tasted super fruity. The foie is not buttery and the truffle tasted thin and had 0 flavor. I think we would've been happier with a dozen oysters. Iberico pork for 2. This was enough for 3 of us. The majo sausage and spatzel were excellent as was the pork. Think of thick cut pork chop and it tasted just like it. We had one piece dryer than the other but they were cooked closer to medium. The wine list, of course, truly shines. This is a place where you can ask your server for recommendations for wines to pair with your meal, and you know you're going to get great recommendations. The interior dining space is larger than it looks from the outside, and the vibe is perfect for date nights, after work hangs, and girls' nights out. I've also always seen at least one family with children when I've dined here, so I like that they are welcoming of families.
