Lived here for decades but rarely eat in Bethany. Now that I travel to Oregon have eaten here a few times for business and team building. Has a good balanced reasonably priced and good tasting Italian pasta and classic dishes. Service can vary from great to having to wait forever and having to track down the waiter for water or bread or time to order but overall a good experience if you can accept the variable service

The food is so incredibly delicious! Authentic Italian cuisine. Great atmosphere. Slightly dark lighting but great for conversation. Attentive service. The bathrooms are pretty amazing!

Lovely set up for birthday reservation

My partner and I celebrated my birthday at Brooklyn Trattoria, and the entire experience was absolutely lovely from start to finish. We made a reservation in advance, and they went above and beyond by setting up a cozy booth for us, complete with a birthday card and fresh rose petals--such a thoughtful touch that instantly made the evening feel special. The service was fantastic throughout. The staff was warm, attentive, and timed everything beautifully. Our drinks came quickly, and the appetizers were served with just the right pause before the entrees arrived. We started with calamari and focaccia bread. The calamari was a standout--it came with a delicious dipping sauce and was paired with fried green olives and peppers that added a unique and flavorful twist. We loved it. The focaccia was fresh and satisfying as well. (I wish they served balsamic with the bread but that's my only feedback) For entrees, I had the breaded parmesan sole, which was served over a creamy butternut squash orzo--absolutely delicious and a perfect match for the seafood. My partner had the halibut piccata and opted to substitute the asparagus for brussels sprouts. The brussels were crispy, flavorful, and so good that we instantly regretted not ordering them as an appetizer! We also enjoyed some excellent cocktails--balanced, well-made, and tasty. For the quality of food, service, and ambiance, the price felt very reasonable. Two appetizers, two entrees, and two drinks came to around $120. To top off the night, the staff surprised us with a complimentary chocolate mousse for dessert to celebrate my birthday, which was a sweet and generous gesture. The owner, David, was present and welcoming. It's clear he truly cares about creating a great experience for his guests. After dinner, we checked out The Red Room, a cozy speakeasy-style cocktail lounge next door, also owned by David. The vibe was low-lit and intimate. The bartender there was friendly and crafted a beautiful, delicious drink for us. It's a great spot to unwind after dinner or to visit on its own. We didn't end up ordering dessert, but the tiramisu caught our eye and seems to be a crowd favorite--next time, for sure! Overall, Brooklyn Trattoria is a gem--cozy ambiance, attentive service, delicious food, and thoughtful details that make a special occasion feel even more memorable. When we're looking to treat ourselves again, this will be the first place we think of!

We have finally found "our" Italian restaurant on the west side near our house. We moved to the Hillsboro area a few months go, and have searched for the kind of food and service that we experienced at Brooklyn Trattoria last night. The only challenge I saw was the status of the booth seats. They need to be repaired. We started with two excellent cocktails, the Central Park Smash and David's Old Fashioned. Then we had a terrific Bruschetta. It was so good. The flavors were perfect. Then we split the Mediterranean salad and it was very good, and I am glad we shared it. For our main courses, my wife had the Penne Alla Vodka, minus the sausage and it was excellent. I had the Veal Piccata and it was incredible. The linguini served with it was cooked perfectly also. We finished with the Cannoli. While it was good...we will try the Tiramisu next time. Jemma, who was amazing, stated the Tiramisu was outstanding. Jemma has been at Brooklyn for some time, and she is so skilled at her profession, and yet quite engaging, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. David, the owner stopped by our table as we were finishing our visit. I really appreciated his approach as I noticed he visited many tables; he would wait until the guests experience was concluding. Great touch and he was so amicable. We will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed this bottle of wine!

Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This place is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and romantic. . .sexy light fixtures with just the right amount of illumination, romantic banquets, a sharp looking bar, and subtle NYC references. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and professional, with a special shout out to our server Nudy!!! She has the perfect balance of professional and friendly, and we were glad that she's still working weekends despite getting a Monday through Friday daytime job. She went out of her way to make our first visit extra-special. The food is absolutely fantastic, everything from the fluffy focaccia bread to my husband's steak (which came with the best mashed potatoes he's ever had) to my delicious penne a la vodka with Italian sausage. I was thrilled to see they carry one of my favorite Italian desserts, Affogato. I usually have it with Frangelico, but they serve it with Bailey's, which was a fun twist. There was too much goodness for the mug, and it got a bit messy. The only minus for us was the menu being accessible via a QR code. With as nice as everything else was, it felt more appropriate to have printed menus at the tables. We very much look forward to our next visit!

Food was great. Especially the seafood linguine and calamari. Service was also good and the atmosphere was old world New York Italian.

Our daughter LOVES this Italian restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try. It didn't disappoint!…read moreI immediately had to use the restroom upon entering, there were 2 individual restrooms. Very clean, updated & smelled freshly cleaned. (You can tell a lot about a restaurant just from their restrooms and condition of menus.) I was craving crab or lobster, only being satisfied by the coastal restaurants, so I was eager to try the Lobster Ravioli. The flavor of the sauce, the fresh veggies mixed into the sauce, the size of the raviolis... AMAZING! My entree was $25 and worth every penny. I ordered a Strawberry Mojito which was $10 and delightfully refreshing. My husband only eats Lasagna when dining out for Italian. He ordered the Lasagna Bolognese, let me add he won't eat tomato chunks. There wasn't a drop left of his meal. He thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of his entree. His entree was also $25 and clearly worth it. Our server was Jassiel. We had a short discussion about the history of the restaurant. It is family owned & operated by both of his parents, as well as he & his brother as serving/bartending. The customer service was so sincere & upbeat, we'll definitely be dining here again.

We had ordered the saffron scallops, their garlic bread, pear n goat cheese salad was ah-mazing! Pizza finocchiona, seafood fettuccine was **chefs kiss* and the vanilla panna cotta sealed the deal! For the quality of meat we ordered, it was a given for the high price. Food was great, I recommend ordering the tomato soup base, that was everyone's favorite and it was super flavorful. Another must order item is the fish ball with roe, super rich in flavors. In term of cleanliness, everything was clean for the most part but my mom did noticed residues on her plates. We had a staff replace it. Staff were very attentive in checking in on us and making sure our water was filled. A+ for customer service, very rare to find attentive staff nowadays. Every soup base we've tried has had great depth, and the quality of the meats really stands out; fresh, well-sliced, and perfect for cooking in the broth.
