Went here for the first time on Wednesday and I was very surprised by how empty it was! There were maybe one or two people who were sitting at different times and a few who came in for "to go" orders. But there should have been a line out the door! One bite of the spinach ravioli will remove any doubts about the unassuming nature of this charming noodle spot. I was transported to Italy. The cup of tiramisu was also excellent, and it being in a cup didn't change my expectations at all. The server I interacted with was friendly and attentive, despite it being less of a formal restaurant experience. This place is beyond worthy of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Take note, Food Network!

Wow, talk about an experience! My partner and I were craving something hearty and healthy (or as healthy as possible) when we found this spot online. We quickly made our way over and were surprised by what seemed to be a restaurant with a lovely dining area and wide array of options to pick from. Immediately walking in it was apparent this place is not only amazing at the restaurant but also quite yummy to take home as the chair for to go orders was filled. Thankfully, the amazing staff was able to support us and our needs once we were done gazing over the menu. The team was VERY friendly and VERY attentive, which I find EXTREMELY difficult to find these days, so huge kudos to this team. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price. We had their pasta dish which contained some shrimp and fettuccine in a lemon citrus sauce that just made our mouths burst of happiness. The pasta salads were also far more yummy than I anticipated as the flavor of the dressing was hit with spices rather than dull and boring. I'll certainly suggest this place to friends and family. And I definitely see myself coming back, especially for the serving sizes, value, flavors and amazing staff! Thanks!

Mole pasta is a fantastic option and a customer favorite. Spaghetti and meatballs have one of the best tasting IN HOUSE MADE MARINARA Sauce. Service is always fantastic, the staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The ambiance is pleasant, that of a small mom & pop shop.

Had a cozy comfort food meal here with a friend. It's unfussy pasta, crisp and fresh salad, and a long list of homemade desserts that come in large portions for incredible value. Entree prices hovered right between $10-$13! I ordered: - Seafood (salmon, scallop, shrimp) Linguine Provencal $12.50 - I asked for Spicy level 4 - had just a slight kick that I enjoyed - Cheesy Bread $3.50 that comes with 4 pieces (you can get a marinara dipping sauce for $0.75) - My friend split her Caesar salad with me $9.95 I would definitely order it all again! It felt like a home cooked meal in the best way, and the service was friendly but not overbearing. I would love to leave room for a dessert next time. I used to pass by Noodles all the time, though it's very nondescript now having tried the pasta, I wish I had gone more frequently when I lived a few minutes away.

This place is delicious!! You can see in this picture I got the chicken Alfredo fettuccine with the yummy garlic cheesy bread. The marinara sauce is sold separately. The noodles are cooked perfectly. It's not overcooked or undercooked. The chicken had a lot of flavor in it. Great job. The service is great and friendly here. There's plenty of seats inside or you can always take it to go. The menu is just straight forward. This will definitely be a go to spot whenever I go back to Oregon. It's a great value for your bucks. This place looks like a hole in a wall but it's great!

We came here randomly for dinner after yelping what to eat. It's a really cute Italian restaurant. We ordered the Cajun Shrimp with Penne, Garlic Shrimp Fettuccini, and the tossed green salad. Both pastas were pretty good and the food came out pretty fast. It's the perfect place to come if you are craving pasta and want a good comfort meal.

This place has been opened for so long but it is a bit far from me so I never made it over here until now! Glad I did and I plan to drop by more often! We did take out and when I arrived I just waited for a few minutes and they finished making it earlier than planned. No one ate indoors but they kept having take out orders! 1. Chicken piccata with angel hair. My dad had this one and he said it was very good. He added ** spicy and he said it was very mild haha. He wished he changed the pasta as it all clumped together when it got home but angel hair naturally does that when it gets cold and it depends on the sauce. Though it was chicken breast, he said it was on the tender side. $10.50 2. Mom and I got the same thing so 2 orders of Seafood Linguini Provencal. There were salmon cubes, baby scallops (very tiny) and a few pieces of shrimp. It was in a creamy tomato sauce with white wine and herbs. We opt out of the cheese. It had a good amount of salmon and overall not too dry. Though the baby scallops were hard to scout, they were very nice, not overcooked, not mush or hard. Shrimp were also nicely cooked. After eating it though you do get a bit thirsty. This was filling as it had cream but not as full or dense as cream or cheese-based sauces, I think. $11.25. Very reasonable portion for the price and there are lots of varieties. I look forward in trying their other pastas, too!

Cajun shrimp Penne & cheesy garlic bread! Yumm!

How much indoor seating is there? Workable for a party of 13?

Our dining room is quite small but if you arrive before 5:30 or so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks

Dearest gentle readers,…read more A most scandalous correction must be issued how careless of me. The establishment in question is none other than the divine Grassa, a name that now rolls off the tongue with the same richness as its most indulgent fare. And oh, what fare it is. Here, along the lively stretch of Portland, one may witness noodles brought to life before their very eyes fresh, authentic, and handled with a confidence that borders on audacity. These delicate strands are then enrobed in a mac and cheese so decadently composed, so brazenly elevated, that it dares to redefine comfort itself. And just when one believes it cannot be improved enter the pig belly. Crisp, tender, and unapologetically rich... a finishing touch that transforms the dish into something whispered about in only the most exclusive of circles. Yes, dear reader, this is the sort of indulgence that lingers long after the final bite... the kind that ruins lesser versions without remorse. And so, with that final truth properly set, I take my leave once more. The tales of this fair city draw to a close, but not without leaving behind a most delicious legacy. Until our next adventure ever eastward. Yours most faithfully,

Casual. Easy. Delicious…read more You order up in the front and they'll bring it to your table. We got the truffle papardelle, pork belly mac and cheese, burrata, and Brussel sprouts. The mac and cheese was recommended to us and was definitely not a lie. Sweet, slightly spicy(not really), creamy, and tangy. A perfect blend of the best flavor profiles with sauce hoarding pasta. It's a life regret to not order this dish. Everything else was also very solid. I really enjoyed the refreshing flavors of the burrata dish and the Brussel sprouts were a necessary addition of vegetables.

We were there on opening night fifteen years ago, the only guests in the room, not by design but by fate. Even then, the owner, Simone's, service, presentation, and unforgettable flavors absolutely floored us. Fifteen amazing years and many visits later, Simone and his team have wowed our tastebuds yet again. If we lived in Portland, we'd be here every single week without hesitation. Simone, the owner, chef, and heart of Mucca brings Italy with him in every dish. His success isn't accidental, it's built on how deeply he values his team, his heritage, the pride he pours into every plate, and the genuine warmth he and his team shares with everyone who walks in. It's palpable and you can feel it. He's a talented chef, a devoted family man, and truly one of the good ones. And after all these years, he still remembers us. If you're visiting Portland, Mucca Osteria isn't just a recommendation, it's a must. A place that doesn't just serve dinner, but gives you a memory you'll want to revisit again.

Overpriced. Overrated. Lackluster service for auto 20% gratuity…read more I'll preface this by saying we had several excellent dining experiences in Portland while visiting from out of town including Dolly Olive, Hearth and Vine, and The Side Door, so I had high expectations for Mucca Osteria. This was especially so since we had been turned away as walk ins the night before, so made a reservation for the next day. From getting seated it was obvious this place was going to be pricey, especially as the menu indicates 20% gratuity (regardless of party size), and cards cannot be split more than 3 ways, but we were in for the experience and had high hopes given the reviews and apparent popularity. It was a disappointment from the get go. The water is served in bottles left at the table, but for our party if 6 we kept running out and the server was too busy waiting too many tables to keep up with refilling even after we asked multiple times. The bread basket was good, but took forever to be served, and was the most filling thing of the entire evening! The portions are tiny-- think huge plate that if you leaned on one side it would tip, with a small circle bowl portion in the middle with max 8-10 bites of pasta. We started with the beet salad which was nothing special. The beets were cold and a tad tart, the ricotta, oranges, and micro greens added some texture, but I've had far better beet salads elsewhere, and it'll set you back $24. For my main, I ordered the asparagus spaghetti. Not only was it tremendously bland even with salt and pepper, I could have made this at home blending asparagus, heavy cream, and basil. It was extremely disappointing at $36 and I was so hungry I had to order French fries elsewhere after dinner. To add insult to injury, I ordered a decent wine, but the cheapest to not splurge, and when the check came (we split 3 ways as we were with friends) I was mischarged for the highest priced one. When I told the server after our card had been run because she said she knew what we all ordered by heart, she said, oh it's like $4 difference, which was embarrassing to call me out in front of our friends, and I had to correct her that it was actually $10 more. Then it took forever for a manager to credit the $12 (because auto gratuity had to be returned too). We wanted to order dessert, but the experience was so frustrating that we got dessert elsewhere. I'll caveat my review (which would have been 1 star in light of my friend's dining experiences). My friends who eat meat (I'm vegetarian) enjoyed their meals more than me, which included halibut, seafood pasta, and the ragu pasta. And my friend who had the mushroom tortellini enjoyed it as well, so perhaps I ordered wrong. But an Italian restaurant should be able to make awesome vegetarian pastas. Period. I would not recommend wasting one of your precious vacation meals here.

I've been to southern Italy (Amalfi Coast) and the authenticity shines through. Piazza's menu is northern Italian and traditional the Italian American marriage we all know and love. It's there to accentuate the food. They have a solid spritz. Whether you choose a dish with fresh pasta or dried (they serve both, depending on the dish) it'll be prepared beautifully. I've been coming here for years and I've tried nearly every one on the menu. Last night I even shook it up and got it delivered: the quality still held.
