    We came here as it was close to the neighborhood. There weren't many people, only one large group, at the time we went. We were able to get our order in quickly - a filet mignon, ribeye, mashed potatoes, and mushroom risotto. The steaks were properly cooked and came out reasonably quick. The steaks were decent. I did enjoy the mushroom risotto the most. Overall, it's a good local spot to get some food.

    We've been here a few times. I always think the steak is amazing. This time around we came for their anniversary promotion. Unfortunately, they stated no where on the promotion that it was only one free entree per PARTY. I came with my fiance for a date night and we were both expecting to get a free entree (pictures posted in this review) and splurge on drinks and desserts, so we were a bit bummed to find our server telling us it's only one entree per table. Please make this apparent next time you want to bring in customers :( We are forgoing any future visits because it was clear you wanted to get customers in without being completely forthcoming and honest. On an additional note: the bread was stale, and the benches for the table flip up if you sit on the edge. I would highly recommend drilling them in so this isn't an issue. My partner got the free salmon and I got the filet mignon, which has always been great to me.

    Dena was the best! The service was amazing and that alone was worth coming here. Drinks were really good and she was able to custom them for us. Steak was good and my wife loved the salmon.

    I called ahead (around 4 p.m.) and made a reservation for 8 p.m. The hostess was super friendly and accommodating, especially since we needed a booth on short notice. Although it was a Wednesday night, I was a little surprised that there was only one table occupied when we arrived, but it made for a nice, intimate atmosphere. We ordered the porterhouse steak, the ribeye steak, mushroom risotto, shrimp scampi with pasta, wedge salad, steak bites, coconut shrimp, and a couple of cocktails. My husband really enjoyed the smoked whiskey cocktail he ordered, and we all appreciated the presentation at our table. The food was delicious, very flavorful, and the steaks were cooked perfectly (we like ours medium rare). They did it just right. Our hostess and server, Grace, was exceptional--attentive, kind, and graceful, which is exactly what you want when dining out. At the end of our evening, my husband overheard her taking a call for a takeout order. The customer couldn't pick it up because they had a flat tire, and Grace offered to deliver it to them, which made us appreciate her and the restaurant even more. Grace also took the time to chat with our 20-month-old toddler, who was happily babbling away, showing genuine compassion and kindness. I can't say enough nice things about Grace; she was wonderful, and her service alone ensured that we'll most definitely be returning.

    Pretty bad. Medium Rare ribeyes were RAW. Poor seasoning. All we could taste was char. Place was empty on a Wednesday Night. Now I know why. Service was very slow.

The Vietnamese steamed dumplings were fantastic, it reminded me almost like a cantonese dim sum ha gao with egg roll filling. It really bought me back to when I was a kid and grandma would take me to sunday dim sum, very nostalgic. The steak bites are delightful. Extremely tender and favorable, it came with with a side of veggies, Thai basil oil and Helen's own chilli crunch recipe. Absolutely would recommend! The signature rib eye and special NY strip is one of the best steaks I have had. Its aromatics of lemon grass, garlic and umami rich hint of fish sauce really compliments to the hearty beef flavor. As we were about to pay our tab and the owners gave us a complimentary affogato for our anniversary! All in all if you are on the west side and want an amazing viet style steak, do not hesitate to come here or bring your friends and family. All of my friends and family gave it 5 stars.

He said "not yet." I thought he meant that they hadn't yet been published, but when I went to the bar to say hi to someone I know, I saw a HH menu already on the bar. I'd already ordered off the regular menu, and chose to not change to something on the HH hour just to avoid the conflict. I have no idea what is inspiring this behavior. Perhaps people who order off HH menus don't tip well? In any case, this new HH attitude has definitely dampened my enthusiasm for Fireside. Which is sad since it still has a great tap list and menu.

Both arrived more done than requested and one way more overcooked than the other. They were also on the salty side, though both were very tender. The lamb shoulder, which our server had already warned us about before we ordered, ended up being dry and tough. The chimichurri served alongside the savory dishes was also heavier on onions than I prefer. Overall, the service was excellent, and the complimentary leek soup and tres leches cake were truly outstanding. Unfortunately, despite two visits, the main dishes we ordered didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation for us.

Very tasty. The Crab cakes were also fresh with a homemade taste. It sat on a roasted Ceasar salad with a delicious basil and Caesar dressing. The Short Rib Dinner came with Mashed Potatoes and veggies. The short ribs were tender and flavorful, with a delicious au jus to compliment both the short ribs and mashed potatoes. The Shrimp Louie was fresh and crispy. Our hostess was genuine and took great care of us. Just a great place to visit for a nice dinner, enough televisions to watch the games, and large windows to see a hole in one. I'll be back to try some other dishes on their menu!
