Pork Belly Tacos were promising, but the pork belly was way over-cooked to the point of being hard to chew like beef jerky, with rice and beans. Must have been sitting out all day and then tossed into an air fryer. Enchiladas Super Rancheras was good and shared by two - five enchiladas, beans and rice. Looked like a lot of food. Walked in Mr. Tequila in North Naples for a quick dinner. We were seated immediately and served with salsa and chips. As we sit and immersed ourselves in their vivid color ambiance, we sip sangria and ordered Camarones Mr. Tequila and Enchiladas Yolanda. Both dishes are served hot and flavorful. There must be at least 10 jumbo shrimps in our order. They were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The tomato and onions added that extra taste to the shrimp. Nicely done! I have ten check-ins; however, I have been here perhaps twice that amount. The internet only sometimes works, so I could not check in every visit. Tonight's service was poor; however, Alex got slammed by a large party. I have had such great service here that I can cut them slack. I ordered the Flautas Deluxe, which my sister-in-law ordered. I had never had flautas before, so I gave them a try. I was given four flautas: two beef and two chicken, retired beans, rice, sour cream, and avocado dip. I could put them into my rotation here if the Chile Pablano isn't doing it for me. I enjoy the ambiance here. Mr. Taquilla spent some money on decor and it shows. Very nice. read more

The restaurant was really busy on a Saturday night and we grabbed the last table. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The good did take longer than usual (around 29 minutes for three tacos and a burrito). If you are not very hungry, the tacos on the "side orders" page are a great deal at $4 each. It's also difficult to find ground beef tacos as many Mexican restaurants instead serve steak, and the ground beef tacos were excellent! Ordered a margarita which came out straight mango juice. Asked for a double shot of tequila to add to make my own and had to wait almost 40 minutes and ask again for the shot when the food came out. if this had been my first visit i probably wouldn't go back. Wendy, who was behind the bar, didn't look too pleased when we asked to sit at the bar. The drinks she made were very good, but did not offer us water with them. Our cheese dip ran out of chips very quickly (it was very yummy) and she never came back to check if we needed more. Jaido (forgive spelling, sounds like hi-doe) was amazing, and noticed we were low on chips and asked if we wanted more. We did not see Wendy again until she brought us our food. My chimichangas were very overcooked. They also took a very long time. I ate them because she never came to check and I didn't want to have to wait for them again. She would walk right in front of us to make drinks and drop off dirty glassware at the dish area, but would not make eye contact. We ended up flagging down Alex (also awesome), and he was able to get us some waters. Probably 20 minutes after we finished our food, she finally came to check on us. She walked away as soon as she came, and then we did not see her for another 20 minutes when we had our card on the bar ready to go. The restaurant did not seem too busy, but it did not seem like there was someone assigned as bartender as it was mostly empty the whole night. Almost all the booths were full, but the bar was empty aside from us and another couple who got their food shortly after we received our queso. Also had a large marg (make sure you specify if you want small vs large - it is as big as your head) & a couple of coronas. Food is tasty & filling! Service We sat at the bar on a Friday around 6pm. The bartenders were running all over, but always there when we needed something. Ordered a marg and automatically was served a large when I would have preferred a small. The servers were very nice and quick. Although it was delish, our bill for 2 taco dinners, drinks & queso was ~$80 which is pretty expensive in my opinion for casual mexican food. This hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant blew my socks off! It's tucked away into a corner of the Immokalee Road Center next to Rusty's, and it's amazing! The service, the vibe, the food- all 100%. We ordered a few side items (flautas, tostada, street taco) as well as the enchiladas meal and ended the night with the fried ice cream. All of it was tasty and seasoned well. This place is less than 5 miles from our home and we always go to Rusty's next door. This place is well decorated and there is a nice outdoor areas. We elected to sit inside. The salsa wasn't spicy at all, so sure to appeal to everyone. I ordered 2 flour soft tacos (1 steak and 1 carnitas) they come with lettuce and cheese. I topped it off with some salsa and stole some of the hubby's guacamole. The tortillas were small but they stuffed them full so I still walked away stuffed. The food was okay. Was in Naples for a wedding but of course didn't want to travel far from the hotel. Ordered through Yelp which was fast and seamless. Walked in the door my order was ready and waiting so that was a win. Inside wasn't busy at all, nicely decorated and looked clean. Maybe there could have been a difference in the quality of eating inside the restaurant and takeout. Once we got back to the hotel to look at the food we were like ok looks appetizing. Lots of creme sauce over the burrito and the chimichangas. The refried beans looked like it just had some mild shredded cheese melted over it. The rice was dry. The burrito was huge but was more beans and rice and barely any meat. The chimichangas was supposed to be fried. It was barely that cause the cream sauce made both of them soft and sloppy to eat. There was no way to pock the burrito up it was just falling apart. The chicken inside the chimichangas was good just wish it was fried like it was supposed to be and not coveres with so much lettuce and tomato. The Cowboy's steak is a blast, the tacos horneados were delicious and the carnitas are the best ones that I have ever tried... all of them were SO TASTY and very BIG. Today is the Grand Opening of this restaurant which replaced prior restaurant "The Phoenician" in the Uptown Center Plaza located off Immokalee Rd. near Sams Club and Rusty's Raw Bar & Grill. The menu consists of food eaten from Guadalajara, Mexico with lots to choose from appetizers to entrees to desserts. There is plenty of parking in the strip plaza and they have guest WiFi. Upon entering we were immediately drawn to their beautiful Azteca and Mayan decor. The Manager mentioned the furniture was painted then imported from Mexico from the Booths to the Barstools. There is plenty of seating inside with a nice size bar area that what's a few TV's. There is additional seating outside with plenty of table. We were immediately sat and greeted by our server who was friendly. The menu has a lot of authentic menu items to choose from and they do serve a kids menu. Please keep in mind the kids menu does NOT include a drink. We started with some Queso and chips that were tasty. Mild in flavor and perfect fort sharing with children. I ordered the Molcajete dish which was phenomenal! This dish can feed two people and great for sharing. Served with smoked pork chop, chicken, steak, shrimp, potatoes, onions in a green sauce with cheese inside a molten hot cast iron type bowl. Then topped with a bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed with cheese and a cactus. Served with a side of Pico de Gallo, lettuce, avocado, sour cream and choice of flour tortillas or corn tortillas. The kids meal was came with a hard shell taco with rice and beans. We substituted beans for fries. Please keep in mind they do charge for extras to include asking for more tortillas. Papa Nachos- was given ground beef when it should be "steak" -0 seasoning on the fries. The only reason it would have any flavor could be due to them putting a can full of jalapeños on top. Menu appears the same as their other locations. I had the large shrimp cocktail after learning the cocktail sauce with avocado is made fresh to order. It was fresh and it was delicious! We stopped in this Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Wow- the entire experience made me so happy. From the beautiful, welcoming, friendly hostess, to the sweet man who brought the chips and salsa, to the awesome waiter- service was impeccable. We started with a buy one get on free margaritas(any size) (from 3-6 daily and and all day Wednesday and Saturday) I had guava and husband has traditional. Great STRONG drinks! Ordered cheese to go with the chips, and it was brought right out and paired well with the salsa. We both had combo plates- his a beef burrito and taco, mine a chicken quesadilla and taco. We enjoyed it all.Chicken is moist and meat seasoned well. Sides were the most yummy refried beans I've had in a long time, and simple, fluffy Spanish rice. We loved everything. I can't wait to tell my friends, I'm not sure they know this place is back here. We will be regulars here, as it's s close to home and the best Mexican food and atmosphere I've had in Naples. i've had several experiences with this restaurant none of which have been necessarily sparkling or exemplary, but today I had a bad experience there and I'm going to share. So the problem is Mr. tequila does not have any prices on their extensive liquor collection, so therefore if you would like to get a shot or drink of something, you basically have to ask the bartender. and have them express to you what the price of the drink is. obviously having a drink menu that is open to interpretation Is unprofessional and rather annoying. I basically asked for the price of a tequila which was told to me for being nine dollars to which I said OK can I get a margarita the final price for the margarita was $18. I asked why he charged me basically doubled for a margarita. He said those are made differently, because he added a splash of GranGala liquor, some lime juice and agave syrup they are more expensive. When I first walked in I was amazed by all of the absolutely beautiful furniture. The food is amazing and even after eating I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the furniture haha had to walk around and admire all of the art. I love that the refried beans are served in a shell and that my tacos tasted wonderfully fresh. Salsa fresh and delicious. Better chorizo queso than I've had elsewhere. We loved everything overall.
