    Enchiladas Yolanda
    Martin N.

Walked in Mr. Tequila in North Naples for a quick dinner. We were seated immediately and served with salsa and chips. As we sit and immersed ourselves in their vivid color ambiance, we sip sangria and ordered Camarones Mr. Tequila and Enchiladas Yolanda. Both dishes are served hot and flavorful. There must be at least 10 jumbo shrimps in our order. They were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The tomato and onions added that extra taste to the shrimp. Nicely done! Wife loves her beef Enchiladas. The service is quick, professional and very attentive! Another happy and quick meal at Mr. Tequila!

I have ten check-ins; however, I have been here perhaps twice that amount. The internet only sometimes works, so I could not check in every visit. Tonight's service was poor; however, Alex got slammed by a large party. I have had such great service here that I can cut them slack. I ordered the Flautas Deluxe, which my sister-in-law ordered. I had never had flautas before, so I gave them a try. I was given four flautas: two beef and two chicken, retired beans, rice, sour cream, and avocado dip. I could put them into my rotation here if the Chile Pablano isn't doing it for me. I enjoy the ambiance here. Mr. Taquilla spent some money on decor and it shows. Very nice.

    Carnitas taco- good flavor

The restaurant was really busy on a Saturday night and we grabbed the last table. The waitress was friendly and attentive. The good did take longer than usual (around 29 minutes for three tacos and a burrito). If you are not very hungry, the tacos on the "side orders" page are a great deal at $4 each. It's also difficult to find ground beef tacos as many Mexican restaurants instead serve steak, and the ground beef tacos were excellent! I only have one gripe- when it comes time to pay their default tips on the payment tablet (and the printed bill) are 20%, 25% and 30%. Give me a break with the 30%

Overall Mr. Tequila was pretty good. The food and drinks for sure were very good, best I've been able to find in the Naples area so far. Atmosphere is fine. Was disappointed they didn't have a patio (I think they used to). Biggest issue was the service, it was lacking. The server did his job, but it wasn't friendly or prompt. He didn't ask us if we wanted dessert or anything else at the end of our meal. I think we surprised him when we asked to have the churros. (they were very good!)

Tacos al Carbon - chicken & steak

Love going to Mr Tequila for a yummy taco dinner!! Food They bring you chips & salsa to start -- salsa is yummy & very thin (my fav, hate the chunky). Ordered queso & then 2 plates of tacos -- Tacos Al carbón with chicken & Tacos Dinner with steak. Also had a large marg (make sure you specify if you want small vs large - it is as big as your head) & a couple of coronas. Food is tasty & filling! Service We sat at the bar on a Friday around 6pm. The bartenders were running all over, but always there when we needed something. Ordered a marg and automatically was served a large when I would have preferred a small. The servers were very nice and quick. Although it was delish, our bill for 2 taco dinners, drinks & queso was ~$80 which is pretty expensive in my opinion for casual mexican food. Ambiance It is always cold here, so I highly recommend to bring a jacket! Good vibes, love the decor, and the staff has always been pleasant in my experience.

This place is less than 5 miles from our home and we always go to Rusty's next door. This place is well decorated and there is a nice outdoor areas. We elected to sit inside. The salsa wasn't spicy at all, so sure to appeal to everyone. I ordered 2 flour soft tacos (1 steak and 1 carnitas) they come with lettuce and cheese. I topped it off with some salsa and stole some of the hubby's guacamole. The tortillas were small but they stuffed them full so I still walked away stuffed. They have happy hour 3-6 daily, may need to come check that out. We will be back.

I don't think I've ever done this before, it after throwing away $60+ worth of poorly cooked, OLD food, I have to say something. Chips stale AF, salsa is watery and bland. Guacamole was actually BROWN! Pico had sat for so long, it tasted like onion juice. Had the steak and shrimp or shall I say leather with old snail meat. Absolutely NO flavor at all. Husband had chimichangas and said it tasted like slop in a shoe. Beans tasted canned. Shameful. We had gone to Galindo's earlier. Night and day.

The service, drinks, & food was amazing. The place inside looks really cute. Food came out quick. I forgot to take a picture of the chips they bring out but it was nice and fresh. We really enjoyed everything about this place.

    Shrimp quesadilla to go
    Carol M.

Fresh & filling meal both in person or delivery. Highly recommend the shrimp quesadilla (I ordered meal without tomatoes, sour cream & beans) - it was good enough for dinner & then lunch next day. Guacamole okay, needed to mix in some lime & salt/pepper.

The food was okay. Was in Naples for a wedding but of course didn't want to travel far from the hotel. Ordered through Yelp which was fast and seamless. Walked in the door my order was ready and waiting so that was a win. Inside wasn't busy at all, nicely decorated and looked clean. Maybe there could have been a difference in the quality of eating inside the restaurant and takeout. Once we got back to the hotel to look at the food we were like ok looks appetizing. Lots of creme sauce over the burrito and the chimichangas. The refried beans looked like it just had some mild shredded cheese melted over it. The rice was dry. The burrito was huge but was more beans and rice and barely any meat. The chimichangas was supposed to be fried. It was barely that cause the cream sauce made both of them soft and sloppy to eat. There was no way to pock the burrito up it was just falling apart. The chicken inside the chimichangas was good just wish it was fried like it was supposed to be and not coveres with so much lettuce and tomato. Would take a pass on this restaurant if I was in Naples again.

What A Great Place! As were driving down the street towards…read morethe Naples Botanical Garden, we passed a brewery and next to it was this small Mexican restaurant. How perfect. After our nature visit, we could stop for a beverage, then get a late lunch next door. Well let me tell you, this is legit authentic Mexican. We walked over from the brewery next door. There's a patio out front with tables and umbrellas, but it was scorchingly hot and we wanted to sit inside. Not too many tables as it's small, but one opened up for the three of us. A very polite server provided menus and took our drink orders. My daughter and I both had Micheladas. You can select what beer you want in the mix. I had Modelo Negro, my daughter selected Modelo Especial. My wife had a bottle of water. No tap water here, you need to buy the bottle. We studied the menu trying to decide what to get. Everything we could see others eating looked great and tacos seemed to be the popular meal. Our Micheladas came out and these were festive. Large mugs, rimmed with a pretty zippy tahin and pepper blend, filled with the beer and a slightly spicy tomato juice mix. Very flavorful. A something new for us was the addition of a tamarind straw. It's a plastic straw, covered with a sweet spicy tamarind blend. They actually call it candy. You use it to stir your drink and then nibble on the candy. What a great fun thing to add to a drink. By the way, the Michelada was excellent. I enjoyed licking the tajin seasoned rim with each sip, just like a salted rim on a margarita. Still studying the menu, we ordered the Choriqueso appetizer. The basket came out with fresh fried corn tortilla chips and a bowl of queso cheese with chorizo sausage crumbled into it. Runnier than most cheese dips we're used to, but enjoyable nonetheless. Finally we ordered our meals. Al Pastor Tacos for my wife, Chorizo and Steak Tacos and Quesabirria Quesadilla for my daughter and Caldo de Camaron for myself. In just a few minutes, our delights were delivered and the feast began. All of the meats in the tacos and quesadilla were excellent. Great flavors and no skimping on the meats. Onions, cilantro and self squeezed lime punched up the flavors. The quesabirria come with an au jus style dipping sauce that was perfect. My shrimp soup was spectacular. Easily shareable, but I accepted the challenge to eat this myself. Served with numerous warm tortillas, chopped onions, cilantro and lime, I put it all in. A very light yet flavorful broth and as the pic shows, loaded with flavorful shrimp. I enjoyed every spoonful. A wonderful soup. As with most authentic Mexican restaurants, you are made to feel that \you are their guest. They will never make you feel that you've overstayed and if you want your check, you just go to the register at the counter. Looking forward to our next trip there.

They do get pretty busy around lunchtime so sometimes there are no more seats available inside, but that's a testament to how good their food is. During cooler days, they have plenty more outdoor seating so finding a spot shouldn't be a problem. You can mix and match any tacos you want. They are smaller street tacos, so usually three is enough, but if you're really hungry you'll probably want 4.

Each visit over the past couple years we've made sure to return; simple walk over to the restaurant since we used to stay at the Hilton a couple blocks away... and even now that we don't stay that close, we made an effort to detour all the way over because the food is that good and the staff are pretty awesome. The wife continues to order their superb margaritas and different taco plates; she does love those tacos. As for me, I rarely drink but now and then I treat myself to a fruity frozen drink and if at Don Tequila I got myself a frozen Mango Margarita (with a sugar rim; not masculine but delicious nonetheless); and for a guy that rarely drinks, I also ended up with a Strawberry Margarita. Ended up with a Chicken and Steak Fajitas dinner on our latest visit. Food was deliciously seasoned... steak was awesome but the chicken was a bit overcooked (dry) but a dab more sour cream and guacamole on the tortilla and it's still great.

Inside feels like you are dining in a small village in Mexico. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Our drinks and food arrived fairly quickly. The shoutouts go to the Quesabirria taco plate (so flavorful) and the mixed fajitas (chicken seasoned perfectly and a generous amount of meat)! We would go back for both of those plates. The Al Pastor taco was average tasting, a bit on the dry side. The tamale was also just average. It might have been a bad batch, because it totally fell apart and the meat inside could have been more flavorful. The beans were tasty, but very runny, almost like bean soup. The margaritas were good, you couldn't taste the tequila, but it was definitely there. And, how can you go wrong with a cold Modelo with a lime slice and a shot of salt??? The chips were thin and crisp, the salsa's were more like sauces to us. The red was thick and quite hot, the green was thin and spicy but not too hot. Mixing them together formed an ideal blend.
