Went to Dona Natys after grabbing a matcha down the street. The place was a ghost town. Looked like they had a bunch of door dash orders they were fulfilling. The lady at the cashier register was polite. I ordered 3 steak tacos cilantro and onions. It was 3 tacos for about $12 which is not bad. I had to try them fresh the meat was tender but lacked flavor. I also feel like it wasnt much meat on the tacos. Their salsa verde lacked salt. Overall they were okay for the price. read more

About a 2-2.5: Man, I thought that Dona Naty's was my go-to for a chimichanga craving, but this place is super inconsistent. We recently had the Pastor chimichanga (steamed pork) and the Asada chimichanga (the steak); the protein for both were just not flavorful - not sure if the marinade, the seasoning, or the prep of the meats were just not on point that day or what, but the chimichangas were just not good. I remember the chimichangas containing a great amount of cheesiness with flavorful carne asada, but this was not the case. The platter comes with a side of rice and some shredded lettuce with tomatoes, avocado slices, and slices of lime. You're also served a basket of tortilla chips with salsa. Me and my friend randomly stopped by this taco place in hopes for a good tacos. Now, its where we recommend all our friends to go!!! We sat outside on the most fun little benches. It was a great start to our meal. We both ordered horchata which was very tasty and not too sweet which I like. After deliberating for a while over the menu (everything looked good!) we both decided to get the taco plate, which comes with 3 tacos and rice and beans. The dream. I ordered bistec, al pastor, and asada, which our waitress said was her favorite 3! And I can see why. All the meat was perfectly juicy and flavorful. The steak taco actually came as a slice of steak, which was so tender and delicious. All of the meat was perfect. You could pay extra to get extra toppings, but they were so good with just the meat, onion, lime, and cilantro. I couldnt have asked for a better dinner. Certainly this place is better than Mexican fast food. It's one of the more accessible authentic places around here for those who aren't used to this kind of thing. Dona Naty's is a kind of small place with a lot packed into it. Has a pretty authentic menu of tacos of course, along with tortas and more. The prices are pretty good considering it's a local business and they use better ingredients and stuff. After doing something around this area, we came recently for a late bite. It's a kind of tiny place with not lots of seating. The place is pretty nondescript with a TV tuned into a Mexican channel, and the counter to place orders for takeout. It's also BYOB, so no alcohol. We instead got the Pina beverage, which was refreshing. As for the food, we got tacos of course. We got a few of the Taco Vegetarianos. It's $3.75 each. These come with cheese and sour cream, which I left off, along with avocados, beans, and rice. Good authentic Mexican. It's cheap for around here. I've probably eaten way too many burritos from this place, but I can't resist and am bound to have more. It's so nice to have a local option that is affordable, filling, and tasty! The tacos are seasoned well and taste authentic, especially the marinade on the pastor. The tortas are giant, I can only finish one half. Burritos are typically my go to and I can definitely vouch for the ones here. They have generous filling and the tortilla is chewy, but stays structurally intact. It doesn't leak everywhere and the ingredients feel balanced. Interior is definitely a no frills type of place. We ordered a little bit of everything including the steak burrito, the chimichanga steak burrito, the chicken quesadillas, the shrimp tacos and the fish tacos. We also ordered a few sides of rice and beans as well as the guacamole appetizer. Everything tasted good, but I think my favorites included the chimichanga steak burrito and the fish taco (fish was super soft and flaky). I personally thought that the shrimp tacos were a little bit too salty with too much seasoning. The chicken inside the chicken quesadilla is a shredded/pulled chicken so just be aware of that when you are ordering. Service is fast and courteous! Everything I ordered had such an authentic taste, flavor and was seasoned well. I ordered the chorizo tostada, beans and rice. The meal also came with chips and salsa. I ate them while sitting outside on the swing bench table. And the salsa was so fresh it was as if they made it right before they served it to me. It comes with a tiny spoon so nothing was left to waste. Some Yelp reviews say the salsa was like pico but pico has cilantro. I called to order tacos from this place around lunch time. They picked up right away and got my order. When I arrived at the place, they were busy. They do have tables and chairs for sit down. I saw that they were quick to tend to their patrons which I liked. They were also quick in cleaning up the place. I was greeted right away by one of the cooks which was nice. I ordered four tacos--shrimp taco ($4.50), fish taco ($4.50), tripe ($3.50), pastor (6.50). They were all good. Four definitely fills you up. They were loaded. DO NOT order take out from this place!! They use Styrofoam take out containers even for HOT food. It is well known and documented that this is unsafe. Styrene is an endocrine disruptor, a neurotoxin, and a suspected carcinogen--and it is NOT heat safe. And it's also horrible for the environment. They put hot food in styrofoam containers, so the styrene melts onto the food, which you then eat. There are so many more alternative packaging choices available, but they chose not to use them. So, I urge you to choose an alternative restaurant (until they fix this issue). read more

Came here tonight w the gf and a couple of friends. Their pico de Gallo was perfect. One of the staff had BUILT some super cute picnic tables with hanging benches. Another couple we went to dinner with sat in one of the two arrangements outside with us. so, the food is great. But you know what was even better? ... the SERVICE. The guy (o'hany? - kept asking his name and it's unique so I may be butchering this)- was going above and beyond the service I've experienced at much higher end restaurants. I would have come back just for the food alone - but the service sold me. This is a gem of a spot and I'm more than willing to continue supporting kind people making amazing food. See you guys again soon. EDIT- just came back for second day in a row bc it was better than I expected round one. Allowing for a potential opened the door to seeing this place in another light.... would I be let down? What if this second date doesn't go as well as the first outing? Wrongo bongo. Paid $7 for a carne asada burrito (compared to $14-15 back in nyc). Flavors were more authentic and the pico gallo again spanked the kitty. This was my number one but last month I bought fish tacos and there was a small bone (it was not supposed to have bones) it fracture my molar. The owner asked me to talk to his fish provider instead of him hahaha,,, anyways, this is going to be very expensive. Happy I discovered Doña Naty's tacos when my brother came over my place with takeout. The asada gorditas had me and my husband going back to also try the cheese and beans gorditas and we highly recommend!! Our kids love the tacos and I personally recommend the agua de tamarindo of you like a little refreshing tart beverage. I've gone back at least monthly since my brother introduced DNT to my family back in June.
